The Dawnmaster's Path

In the tumultuous landscape of Faerûn, grand constructions are lost to time almost as quickly as they are built. Rosymorn Monastery, east of Baldur's Gate, is one such site.

Rumoured to have been constructed to house the Blood of Lathander, god of dawn and renewal, the monastery rests high above the banks of the Chionthar on a long-forgotten pilgrim's path. Though its halls lie in ruins, they are not silent. Dangerous creatures and various wildlife have made the crumbling stone their home, and rumors of Githyanki in the area serve to ward off even the stoutest travellers.

One wonders if the Morninglord weeps to see his temple in ruins, but perhaps ruins can be considered fertile ground for a renewal of their own.
