As generations have passed, the Diamonds have remained strong, running New York City with complete control. But the gang’s journey became twisted, and what started out as a simple revenge mission has now turned into a gang war. With the arrival of the Kings, the newest gang determined to make the streets of New York safe again, it’s up to the leaders of the Diamonds and the Hearts to decide how to react next. “Hello, darkness, my old friend. I’ve come to talk with you again, Because a vision softly creeping Left its seeds while I was sleeping, And the vision that was planted in my brain, Still remains… …within the sound of silence.”
Goes by: Thomas ‘Tucker’ Stone Hometown: New York, New York Age: 35 Occupation: Advisor for the Diamonds Sexuality: Homosexual Face Claim: Ben Barnes
The P A S T
Thomas Stone, the only child of a typical suburban family, lived a life of lies. His father had been a man on the run, living behind the law through witness protection since the boy was born. Thomas didn’t know any of this growing up, seeing as how it was never an issue…until a strange man kept coming up to their door, asking for his father. He had no recollection of the name the man used, causing him to become frightened and call for his mother most of the time.
This was nothing, though, compared to what happened when his father never came home. Cops were hooking up wires to his home phone, the television now always being off. He had no idea what was going on…until he heard that strange man’s voice over the recorder. Wide eyed, Thomas held his breath and tugged on his mom’s skirt. She ignored him, tears pouring down from her eyes. There wasn’t much said over the moment as they listened, the man asking for hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash to spare the life of his father.
Hours had turned into several days just waiting for phone calls, his mind going berserk with boredom and worry all at once. Before he could say anything to his mother about how scared he was, the man spoke on the recorder again. He was at a distance, holding his hands over his mouth when he heard the man yell about fake money. But, just as he heard his dad’s voice, he pulled his hands away and wanted to yell for him…but gunshots cut him off.
His mother stood still, visibly shaking and the room rang with an eerie silence that he couldn’t ignore. It was burning his ears, the sound of the gunshot and the silence. His mother screamed, an officer pulling her from the speaker as Thomas stood there. To him, the cops did nothing, the knew nothing and all they could do was try and negotiate with this man to let any other victims go.
He knew, at this point, the cops couldn’t do anything. They didn’t save his father, they couldn’t keep his mother from feeling turmoil and guilt. Hell, there wasn’t even any remorse for what they did. What the fuck did he get? A pat on the shoulder from the main man who did nothing! But, instead of yelling, Thomas swallowed it down and into the pit of his stomach, knowing there was no use to yell since he did know how young he was.
Hitting his teen years, he grew curious and started to research his father in the library. He dug in old records at home, as well, for who his father truly was and came across a name he thought he recognized. Bringing it back to the library and seeing who he had been, his eyes widened greatly. He was an informant for a rival gang back in the 1970s, one of the longest running drug-rings in all of New York. What he didn’t know, though, was that he had started to rat people out from those rival families and got immunity as well as witness protection from the NYPD.
Feeling betrayed even more by the people who were sworn in to protect the citizens of New York, he knew he had to find an alternative to figure out how to get back at the police for what they did. His mother was against him searching, against everything he was vowing to do, but he promised that he would succeed and nothing would happen to him. He wouldn’t end up like his father, like the man she had married. At this point, though, he knew he would have to cut ties with his mother as much as possible. He loved her, feeling responsible for her well-being despite her immense depression and desire for solitude.
When he graduated from high school, he quickly joined up with the Diamonds, working as a simple lackey but making sure to out perform all of those who thought they could beat him. With immense willpower and mental strength, he fought hard to get to the top, wanting nothing more than for the Diamonds to see he was a force to be reckoned with. With his knowledge, and how long he had been part of the Diamonds, he put in to apply as the Advisor of the head of the gang. He knew it would be tough, but he didn’t give two shits. Thomas was going to make it, even if he had to take down a few people along the way.
The P R E S E N T
With his intense desire to influence the gang, there was no chance that he wouldn’t have gotten the spot as Advisor. Now that he had become so, he was not going to let any of this fall apart. He worked hard to get where he was so it was inevitable to end up so close to the Leader of the Diamonds. Though, when he found out how they had the NYPD in their pocket, oh he knew this was going to better than he anticipated. Each smirk he gave the NYPD was usually unnoticed, but he knew why he did it…and that’s all that mattered to him.
Though, despite all of that, he takes his position seriously and won’t let vengeance interfere with his progress. Though, to be fair, he is tempted from time to time to ensure they will know who he is. Taking his father’s beloved nickname before he went into witness protection, he prefers to be called that…to be the Tucker that his father couldn’t be after his untimely death.
The P E R S O N A L I T Y
Most of the time, Tucker keeps to himself and doesn’t usually force conversation. He likes the silence that comes with being alone, something he was rather used to after his father’s death. He can make friends, of course, but he is steadfastly loyal and only keeps a few rather close to him. He’s not fearful of not having any, but losing them because of what he does could be quite the undoing for his calm and quiet demeanor.
Tucker does, however, have quite the temper if anyone tries to cross him. Because of how quiet he can be, there is an air about him that would keep people away when he is angry. He doesn’t truly want to hurt anyone, but if they push him too far, it could end up disastrous on their part. Keeping him from doing that isn’t hard, really, just be courteous and polite and he’ll nod, smile, and make small talk.
He dislikes very few things, one of them being the NYPD but he also doesn’t like to be compared to his father. Not that anyone really knows who his father is, but he does dislike the comparison. Tucker respects his father, keeping a photo of him in his home as a memory, but he doesn’t want anyone to assume that his father was anything other than someone who tried his best to protect his family. Tucker’s interests, though, include true crime novels, Criminal Minds, and nature documentaries. That and Archer. He also loves a good martini with two olives.
The R E L A T I O N S H I P S:
Wren Diamond: Because of his position, it would be ridiculous to not know who this man is. With Tucker being around a year older than him, he sees no issue with age. He appreciates the man’s position, respects him highly, but knows not to be a suck up to the man who runs one’s career. He’ll be loyal to Wren, no matter what. To be quite frank, he’s as loyal to Wren as he is his mother.
David Cheslyn: He knows the man keeps his head down, but Tucker enjoys a conversation with the man once in awhile. It’s the fact that the Advisor and Strategist need to coincide on ideas in order for it to work properly that keeps Tucker on a professional level with the man. Though, to be fair, David seems timid but Tucker wonder why. But, even then, he would never pressure the other to open up.
Tessa Cross: If there was a woman that reminded Tucker of his mother, it would be Tessa. She seems quiet at first, but once you speak to her…it’s sass all around. It’s refreshing, seeing as how his mother is much quieter these days. Whenever he comes across Tessa, he makes it a point to spend a moment with her and shoot the shit. Nothing serious, of course, just about any sort of personal drama to keep it simple.
