Saturday cont. sticking on backs, finicky work, but satisfying in its own way. Crucial that I adhere the pieces today as they need 24 hrs to cure before they can be installed. I was able to put up a few older pieces that already had the back tabs to get an idea of the effect.

Saturday, deciding placement. Initially I thought the red tiles would have most impact in the initial front opening, but the black shades are the star of the show in my opinion, so they get star placement on the long wall.

Making backing tiles, Christina suggested I match the colour to the shadows not the wall and I think thats a brilliant observation. It evelates the hidden support if anyone is curious enough to try and see the mechanism.
