I need that protein!
When people go into “diets” the first and most repeated mistake they tend to make is lack of meal preparation. Sadly it’s happening to me right now… After a workout I decided to go to the car wash since it’s finally sunny and my car really really needed it desperately! Little did I think that getting my car washed was going to take more than an hour! Don’t get me wrong I’m happy my car will be fresh and clean for the next two weeks, but the big deal is that I’m literary breaking down. If I would have prepared to pack a meal to eat after my workout I wouldn’t be starving nor braking down my muscle. Exactly, when we don’t eat after a workout our muscle starts to break down and we get really sore. Take important note of this: muscles need protein every 3 hours! What???? Yes, if we don’t eat protein every 3 hours then our muscle starts to catabolize or eat itself or break down. Wondering why your at the gym 24/7 but don’t see any muscle growing? Maybe you’re lacking from protein intake. Back to my point why is important to have your meals prepared is because you need to eat protein every 3 hours to prevent breakdown of muscle.
