I had a dream.

A door was in front of me.

The sound of people screaming and shouting at each other is what lied beyond that door.

It was muffled by my fervent, panicked heartbeat, and the blood pounding in my ears.

The door was locked.

I made sure it was even when they were banging on it.

The handle shook violently, yet it didn't open.

The feeling of safety quickly left once I realized the door wasn't going to hold any longer.

I woke up before the door was kicked off of its hinges.

What a nice dream.
