Okay! I am oddly prepared for this one!

Its a Welcome to The Ballroom AU (Great anime btw, made me wanna do ballroom dancing) and Akira's former romantic and partner totally dumps him within one month of a really important performance, nationals type stuff, leading him to take literally any one who would please join him he needs this done.

its a preestablished thing that him and his dance partner are dating, akira is decently well known for his beautiful displays of passionate romance between him and his dance partner, thus Ryuji, the first guy he saw in the studio who agreed to the frantic akira, is the one who he's dancing with, and for his Reputation, they have to pretend they are dating up to the big dance.

While Ryuji seriously sucks at being the one following instead of leading, they make it work, and a few late night dance sessions in where they talk about their lives later, Akira might just be catching feelings for this man he would have originally written off as a random punk.

of course the feelings catching is mutual, and come the big dance, Ryuji rebels on the choreography one last time to catch Akira in a dip kiss, because I said so.

The next morning was like every morning for Goro Akechi. He’d wake up bright and early to catch the train to school while listening to either Exile On Main Street or Wish You Were Here for the umpteenth time. Whatever music he felt like listening to that morning. He’d pay attention in all his classes, being the diligent student he presented himself as, or wanted to at least. He assumed that's why he was in the very front of the classroom next to the teacher’s podium. It was well into the afternoon at this point, Akechi found himself unable to focus as per usual. He was unusually tired. He had spent his lunch break taking a nap instead of eating the lunch he had made. He isn’t usually like this, but today he was thinking much more than usual. Thinking about what? He didn’t really know. I’m really going through it today. He thought while the teacher kept yapping about the lesson. Akechi just needed to lock-in, but that proved trivial. The rest of the afternoon went by regularly. Besides Akechi’s thinking crisis, maybe his loneliness was finally getting to him, sort of like Detective Kurosu’s age. He didn’t know for sure.

Here’s the first paragraph of chapter 1 if anyone wants a snippet:

February 4, 2016

It was a cold winter evening after school, and Goro Akechi was walking to the police station to wait for his mother. He was a frequent guest at his mother’s workplace, and was familiar with some of her co-workers and partners. He was often greeted by Detective Kurosu, his mothers partner. They’d talk about music and Detective Kurosu would always bring up how he used to be in a band when he was Akechi’s age, even though Akechi’s heard that story way too many times already. Maybe Detective Kurosu was finally getting old and amnesic, Akechi wouldn’t say, of course. Other than at his house, he felt at home at the station talking to adults about various subjects, like work and general living. You know, things a normal 18 year old wants to talk about with tired, working adults. Goro would usually go straight home instead of the station but today was the anniversary of his fathers death and he and his mother had to go visit him and pay homage or something.
