Hiiro has the same unfortunate thought I had when watching Battle, and has a crisis over this. Lucia is forced to deal with this.

It's easy to think "nobody in the whole wide world cares about me" on an empty stomach but try doing it while eating Vegetables and Rice. Seems less convincing now doesn't it? That's simply the power of Vegetables and Rice..

I met Utena at the audition. I thought “Utena’s story is a normal shōjo manga story, so Utena is probably what you’d call a ‘normal, cute, long-haired girl’.” So, I played her just like that, but afterwards I found out she called herself “boku“ and that she was actually a very boyish sort of girl, like in a Takarazuka play. I thought “What? This is no good, I lost the role for sure!”. And “I did it totally different!”
And then they said, “Okay, Ms. Kawakami, you’ve been cast as Utena.”
“What? No way! Is that okay? Am I really okay for the part?” I thought. Still, they cast me, so I figured I’d better just do my best.
When I wondered how I should prepare the role, I met with Director Ikuhara, and asked him, “What’s Utena like? I think I did her differently than everyone else in the audition, so could I listen to the tapes?” He said “Sure,”, and while I visited BE-PAPAS Studio he let me see, I mean hear them. Oh boy… I really did play her differently than everyone else! It was like, “What a naively softhearted Utena!” So, I thought that must have been the good thing about me.
I heard all the others doing really cool Utenas, and making her the kind of totally cool girl everyone would admire. So, I thought if I could mix the naivete and the coolness just right, maybe I could create my own Utena. So I’ve been giving it my best as I play her, taking that as my theory and agonizing over the various facets of her as I go.
Utena is very swept along by “fate” within the story, but she sands up to it with all she’s got, determined not to lose. I think she’s wonderful that way.
Where will the story take us? How will Utena, Anthy, and the other characters evolve? Everyone’s individual people… I mean, characters, are really growing a lot through Utena’s story. So I’d like you to watch that, too, and I hope it will lift your spirits.

Palestine fundraisers with easily-achievable goals
By "easily-achievable", I mean in the 50-60K range and below. Once again, drawing from my pinned list of fundraisers, which have all been vetted by Palestinians on Tumblr (check that post for the proof next to each family name). I'll update this post just like the main list and the "under 1000 donations" list. Many of these are extremely close to completing their funding. Let's help get them there!
As always, donate if you can, reblog if you can't!
LAST UPDATED 9/17
10K range
Aya's family Goal: 15K 2244 TO GO!
The Saftawi family Goal: 16K 1652 TO GO!
20K range
The Sami family Goal: 20K Half funded
Zaen and Yehya Goal: 25K 1/3 funded
The Ismaeel family Goal: 25K 1/3 funded
Ashraf's family Goal: 25K 1617 TO GO!
30K range

The Abushammaleh family Goal: 40K 1/3 funded
The Shaqoura family Goal: 45K 2/3 funded
The Aburass family Goal: 45K 1/4 funded
Note: The Aburass campaign is in SEK, so the goal is technically 450K, but converted to USD it's closer to 45. Ultimately I decided to include this one since USD, CAD, GBP, and EUR will be more powerful here, and a huge chunk of the site's user base will pay with one of those currencies. The more hands on deck, the better.
50K range

Walaa's family Goal: 50K 1/5 funded
