Bf! Seungcheol, who was anxious the day he confessed his feelings for you, and turned into the happiest man alive when you said yes to him.

Bf! Seungcheol, who is always shy when it comes to you. He's always trying to pretend to be composed and strong because he wants to look reliable, but would melt with only one smile of yours.

Bf! Seungcheol, who checks on you whenever he has the chance. Five minutes talking to you in his spare time is enough to make his day a little brighter, there's nothing like hearing your voice before coming back to his job, and the promise to see you after a long day makes his heart flustered.

Bf! Seungcheol, who loves to spoil you with little gifts from time to time. "I saw this blush and I thought you'd like to have a new one" (Was the second one in the same month).

🎭 headcanons .ᐟ

— drama line ✩ seungcheol, junhui, mingyu, vernon.

all the boys are bound to kick up a fuss one way or another, but nobody throws a tantrum like choi seungcheol. that man will be on your case for weeks. "why couldn't it have been a love song? why are you so good at singing about breakups?" junhui is equally dramatic, though in a different manner. he goes down the route of spite. the song is officially banned in the dorms. if anyone plays it in his vicinity, he will honest-to-goodness glare them down. as far as he's concerned, you have no reason to be crooning about situationships when you have a perfectly good partner waiting for you at home! mingyu is in the exact same boat, by the way. he is personally offended. he knows he's been a good boyfriend. and you're out here singing like he's broken your heart? oh, hell no. mingyu is going to get ridiculously over the top with his boyfriendisms to prove a point to— well, maybe just to himself. in contrast to the rest, vernon takes a different approach. a little moral high road, if you will. he doesn't whine about it, but he does get— in the other boys' words— 'emo' about the whole thing. an instagram rebrand? frank ocean being one of his top artists of the month? ... you get the picture.

— sweetheart line ✩ joshua, soonyoung, wonwoo, seokmin, minghao, seungkwan.

a good number of the boys would take the breakup song with relative grace. joshua is aware that it's strictly work, but he doesn't miss out on the opportunity to tease you a bit about it. he'll take any opportunity to remind you of how much he cares about you, even if it is in a roundabout sort of way. wonwoo usually errs more on the side of rationality, too, though this breakup song scares him just a teensy bit. he doesn't bother you about it; he'll cope in his own little way until he comes around. (he's not opposed to reaffirmations of your love, though.) at this point? soonyoung and seungkwan can be a comedy act, really. we have soonyoung apologizing for every little thing he's done, just so he can ascertain that you will not be writing about him in your next album. and then we have seungkwan who assumes the song is a not-so subliminal message of some sorts; he is immensely relieved when you tell him that you're not, in fact, ending things via comeback. and the sweetest of them all. seokmin doesn't care if it's a four minute song. he'll take apart every single lyric, offering you reassurances that you don't even need, until you have a hard time performing the song with sincerity because your boyfriend has made it much less convincing. meanwhile, minghao spends hours ruminating before just asking outright. he's a bit shy at the fact that he's potentially overthought this, although he'd much rather be overprepared on being a good boyfriend than fall on the other end of the coin.

— revenge line ✩ jeonghan, jihoon, chan.

did you think jeonghan was kidding about couple's therapy? absolutely not. booking a session for the two of you is, in part, a joke, sure. but he's also a believer in therapy, anyway, so it becomes one of your... admittedly weirder dates, but there are certainly worse ways to unpack this non-issue. jihoon and chan stick to what they know best. jihoon's teasing of a 'response' song just means that there's going to be a certain track in the next mini-album that may or may not answer the questions/refute the claims/reassures the worries of your breakup ballad. he's classy that way. chan, on the other hand, has a lot less finesse. he's not so subtle in the way he literally makes up a routine— is it a slow song? he'll do contemporary, then!— and posts it for everyone to see. he needs everyone to know that he is unbothered. flourishing. in his lane.

Chan had been up late in his studio again, typing away at his laptop while you napped on the couch beside him. Every now and then, he would glance over to check on you, making sure you were comfortable.

Then, just as he reached for his water bottle, he heard it.

"Chan…"

His head snapped toward you, eyebrows raising in surprise. Your lips curled into a sleepy, content smile, a soft giggle slipping out.

His heart melted on the spot.

He leaned in slightly, resting his chin on his hand as he watched you with an affectionate gaze.

"What are you dreaming about, hmm?" he murmured, brushing a strand of hair from your face.

You shifted slightly but remained asleep, your smile still present.

Chan let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head. "You’re too cute for your own good."

That night, he worked with a permanent smile on his face, feeling like the luckiest man alive.

↝Lee Know

Minho was lying in bed beside you, scrolling through his phone when he suddenly heard his name slip from your lips.

"Minho…" You let out a sleepy giggle.

He blinked. Slowly, a smug smirk formed on his face.

"Oh? What’s this?" he whispered to himself.

Turning onto his side, he propped his head up on his hand, watching you with amused eyes. "You’re dreaming about me, huh?"

He poked your cheek lightly. "I bet I look amazing in your dream, don’t I?"

When you giggled again, his smirk faltered just slightly. His ears turned pink, but he quickly shook it off.

"You better tell me all about it when you wake up," he said, mostly to himself, before rolling onto his back with a satisfied smile.

The teasing would be relentless in the morning.

↝Changbin

Changbin had fallen asleep beside you on the couch after a long day. But when he stirred awake in the middle of the night, he heard you mumble something.

"Changbin…" A soft giggle followed.

His groggy brain took a moment to register it. Then—

Wait. What?!

His eyes flew open, and he sat up so fast he nearly fell off the couch.

"Did you just…?" He looked at you, wide-eyed.

When you smiled in your sleep again, completely unaware, he clutched his chest dramatically.

"Aish, this is bad for my heart!" he whispered, kicking his feet in excitement.

Resisting the urge to wake you up and ask about it, he instead pulled you closer and grinned into your hair.

"You’re not gonna hear the end of this," he murmured.

↝Hyunjin

Hyunjin had been sketching at the desk while you slept peacefully on the bed. The room was quiet except for the sound of his pencil against the paper.

Then he heard it.

"Hyunjin…"

He froze mid-stroke.

Slowly, he turned toward you, eyes wide. When you let out a soft giggle, his face turned bright red.

"Oh my God," he whispered, covering his mouth.

His heart was racing, his hands suddenly clammy. Did you seriously just say his name in your sleep?

He swallowed, running a hand through his hair as he bit his lip, trying to calm himself down. But it was no use—his heart was officially gone.

With a bashful chuckle, he walked over and tucked the blanket around you better, staring at your peaceful face.

"You’re gonna make me crazy," he muttered, smiling to himself.

↝Han

Han had been half-asleep himself when he heard you giggle.

"Jisung…"

His eyes shot open. His brain short-circuited.

"H-Huh?" he stammered, his heart doing backflips.

He turned his head slowly, watching your sleeping face in disbelief. When you giggled again, he slapped a hand over his mouth.

Nope. He was not surviving this.

His face burned as he rolled onto his stomach, burying his face in the pillow. "This is too cute—!" he whisper-yelled to himself.

After a solid minute of internally screaming, he peeked at you again and sighed dramatically.

"You’re lucky you’re adorable," he muttered before throwing the blanket over his head, unable to handle his emotions.

↝Felix

Felix had been playing a game on his phone while you snuggled into his chest, fast asleep. He was about to finish his round when he heard it.

"Lixie…"

His entire body froze.

His brain stopped working.

He blinked rapidly, processing what he just heard. "Did you just—?"

You giggled softly, snuggling even closer.

Felix let out the quietest squeak known to mankind.

His hands covered his face as he kicked his legs slightly, heart racing out of control. "I’m going to cry," he whispered dramatically.

Carefully, he wrapped his arms around you even tighter, his heart practically bursting.

"You’re the cutest thing ever," he whispered, pressing a soft kiss to your forehead.

↝Seungmin

Seungmin had been lying beside you, flipping through a book, when he heard his name escape your lips.

"Seungmin…"

He paused mid-page.

His eyes flickered toward you, watching as you smiled in your sleep. His heartbeat stuttered.

After a moment, he let out a soft chuckle, shaking his head. "Really?"

Closing his book, he turned onto his side, watching you with a small, fond smirk. "You must be having a great dream."

His teasing nature wanted to wake you up and mess with you, but instead, he just poked your nose lightly.

"You better not deny it when you wake up," he murmured, before pulling the blanket up over your shoulders with a tiny smile.

↝Jeongin

Jeongin had been dozing off when he heard a soft giggle from you. He rubbed his eyes sleepily, but then—

"Innie…"

His entire soul left his body.

His eyes widened, and he turned bright red. "Wh—what?!"

He covered his face, feeling his ears burn. Did he hear that right?

Slowly, he peeked at you, watching your sleeping expression. His heart swelled.

Despite his flustered state, he let out a quiet chuckle, rubbing the back of his neck. "Aish, you’re too cute…"

Hesitantly, he reached for your hand, lacing his fingers with yours.

"Sleep well," he whispered, smiling to himself.

seungcheol 𖹭 planning dates. he will refuse to let you lift a finger for your day out. everything will be meticulously laid out, finetuned to be something that you'll enjoy. his goal is to lessen the mental load of decision-making and planning; he wants you to be able to focus solely on enjoying the surprise, and he'll break his back to make sure that happens.

jeonghan 𖹭 'parallel play'. even if the two of you might not be interested in the same things, that's okay. he's happiest to spend quality time with you at home, where the two of you are free to do your own thing within eachother's presence. just being in your vicinity already makes him content, and so he plans everything around the two of you getting to explore and share your respective hobbies.

shua 𖹭 acts of service. need help with your taxes? need someone to fill up your tank? he's already on it. he'll say that these are all 'little things', call it the bare minimum, when it's apparent that he makes it a conscious effort to make your day-to-day easier. his brand of spoiling you comes in the form of quietly doing things that will improve your quality of life.

soonyoung 𖹭 daily reasons why he loves you. people always joke that he has a bit of a motormouth, so why shouldn't he use it on talking about you, you, you? he's big on words of affirmation, on making sure you never doubt how he feels for you. he'll point out the little and big things that make him adore you, and it's never the same reason twice.

wonwoo 𖹭 indulging your interests. he may not always understand these trends— blind boxes, must-have fashion pieces, et cetera— but he'll never make you feel bad about it. if there's anything that you want, he's already doing everything within his power to get it. his greatest joy is seeing your face light up once he's gotten you your 'priority' item; it's why he keeps doing it in the first place.

jihoon 𖹭 trying new things for you. there's a long list of things that jihoon never thought he'd do, but then he started dating you. time and time again, he willingly goes out of his comfort zone to accompany you on the little adventures and experiences that you ask to go on. he does these things scared, does them anxious, does them begrudgingly,— does them all for you.

seokmin 𖹭 meals he thinks you'll like. he's the type to have dozens of tabs open for homemade recipes dot com. he knows he's an amateur at this, but he's undeterred in trying. whether it's a trending pastry on tiktok or the comfort meal that your mother makes you, he's determined to learn it so you're always eating well.

mingyu 𖹭 getting-to-know card games. he gives as good as he takes, which means mingyu's way is to listen and remember. a night where the two of you can just have deep conversations with no interruptions is his ideal evening. he will know he succeeded if the two of you end up talking until the sun rises, feeling like the hours haven't passed at all.

minghao 𖹭 postcards from tour stops. he loves art and he loves you. his postcards are pocket-sized reminders of those facts, always packaged with a few choice words that are sweet and sincere. his trinkets are very "i-got-you-this-because-it-reminded-me-of-you" in nature, and you know each one was purchased with you at the front of mind.

seungkwan 𖹭 getting you your favorites. he figures he should put his industry connections to use somehow. he's always amused by how happy you get over a rare photocard, signed album, or concert tickets, and so he keeps it up. buying dozens of albums, contacting other labels, bearing the arduous ticketing. your excitement at the end of it makes it all worth it.

vernon 𖹭 producing songs. he hadn't really pegged himself as the making-music-for-the-sake-of-it type until he met you. now, he revels in getting to send you a track that's for your ears only. all the lyrics just seems to flow naturally when it's you inspiring him, and so he sends you works-in-progress with reminders that you're the only intended audience.

chan 𖹭 at-home massages. he's all too familiar with the aches of an ailing body, so he knows exactly how and where to work on you. he always does what he calls 'the works'— a good bath, scented candles, essential oils. he lets you take your time, and he takes his time with you in helping you unwind.
