why do radfems act like the hatred of periods stems from misogyny and not… y’know… how fucking gross and scary blood is to most people?? Like because it’s an inherently female thing it’s somehow pure and beautiful and not just as gross as an oozing cut?

Right now I’m watching The Lovely Bones, a film about a 14 year old girl who was kidnapped, raped, and murdered by a man in her neighborhood. Thankfully, the film does not show the rape like the book did, though it is implied. Now, the man wasn’t the typically probably a serial killer neighbor, not overtly scary or gross and sending off rapist vibes. He’s the nice, friendly, funny, sympathetic, man with the beautiful rose garden, the man who wouldn’t hurt a fly. A man Susie thought she could trust because he was nice to everyone, especially her and her sister. This man had killed and dismembered at least a dozen other girls before moving to their town. This man kept poor Susie’s chopped up remains in a safe in his basement. And all while seeming like Mr. Ned Flanders good guy.
Guys, if you ever wonder why women are extremely cautious of men, it’s because we grew up seeing girls like Susie on the news, on missing child posters. We heard the stories. Some of us may even have known a Susie and never saw her again. Some of us had close encounters and still think about how lucky we were that someone intervened or we made it home or away from him. You can’t tell by sight which man is going to be okay and which one is going to be a murderous rapist. Mr. Harvey looked on the surface like he was going to be okay, until he wasn’t. Hence, women and girls are cautious around you.

And THIS is why pretending biological sex has nothing to do with women/women’s rights is so dangerous. If we can’t label misogyny as misogyny anymore, how can we combat it?

Reminder that women in the UK did not all get the vote in 1918.
1918: Women over 30 who were members of or married to members of the Local Government Register.
1928: Women over 21 (in line with legislation for men).
We still have 6 years before we’ve had the vote for a century.

dishwashing affirmations
the dishes are more scared of you than you are scared of them.
if you put on a little song you can have a dish washing party.
washing dishes is a great way to make new friends (e.g. frying pans, cups, etc.).
despite any misinformation you may see online, a fork has never bitten anyone. they are gentle, even-tempered creatures that often just want to nap.

my mom once asked me why i hate all men and said that's an irrational point of view because not all men are bad. i told her that she hates all men too, and that she also thinks that all men are bad, she just doesn't want to admit it. when she denied it i proposed her a thought experiment. i said imagine me or my sister had to be stuck in a room for an hour with any random man that was walking down the street, without knowing whether or not he had a previous history of violence against women. would she be fine with it, or would she be worried sick? the horrified expression in her face as i suggested the scenario was all the answer i needed.
all women fear men. all women know what men truly are. deep down, all women hate men. it's just that only a few of us are brave enough to admit to that fact, instead of running away from it.

I 100% support Amber. But, I'm finding it extremely frustrating to go into the tag for supporting Amber Heard and finding radfems/terfs. The enemy of my enemy is not my friend automatically and I hope people keep themselves from harmful rhetoric while supporting Amber. If we want to support abuse survivors and support women, then that includes trans women. The same radfems who are fighting against the disgusting misogyny directed at Amber would use the same disgusting behavior against Amber if she was transgender. I want Amber to have as much support as possible, but it's damaging if it is from terfs who tarnish her already-ruined PR.
Thank you for writing in. We support all women who have been abused and that includes trans women❤️

i would never say this off anon bc all u would dogpile me but i think it’s true they political lesbianism has done way more good than bad, how can u deny that? i am not homosexual internally but materially as a febfem i am lesbian. what’s the harm in women who don’t go after men call themselves lesbians?
You are not materially homosexual, you never will be, and your opinion on whether the appropriation of lesbianism as a political act is appropriate or not does not matter. You are a homophobe, and when lesbians tell you that being grouped with those who can choose not to pursue men is harmful to us, try sitting down and shutting up. You’re also a coward.
