In that case - fine dining followed by waffle house. Followed by flamin hot cheetos and drinks at your place. Followed by breakfast.
“Sounds like a dream. Let’s do it.”

“Oh? And whatcha gonna do with tha’?” Tequila asked, one eyebrow raised in curiosity.
“...not sure, t’be honest. Don’t really need a thing like this, which is probably why Ginger let me hold on t’ it.”

“Nah, I’d be disappointed if you did defend him. JD’s fuckin’ crazy and it makes me wonder what you’re like.”
“Well, I don’t run around ripping people in half with rope, so I guess that means I’m more reasonable.”

There is a dark chocolate raspberry lava cake waiting for Dan, along with a very nice belt and buckle. "Happy Valentine's day Dan" was frosted on the lava cake in red icing.
@brogueinoxfords
Funny how even after all this time, he was still surprised when he found cakes waiting for him with notes. Dan kicked out a chair and took a seat in front of it, fishing out his phone as he did so to give the cake perpetrator a call.
“Hey. I see the cake and the goods, but I don’t see you. You close by?”

— “I went with my fellow actor, Boyd Holbrook, to Virginia and met our counterparts, the real life Steve Murphy and Javier Peña. We hung out with these guys at the DEA headquarters, met the head of the DEA. Then we went over to Quantico, took some classes, got to do simulations. Learned how to use a bunch of different weapons. Quantico is like an amusement park of tactical training.” [ x ]

“it’s just chocolate!” Astrid giggled as she popped another candy into her mouth. She’d mostly demolished a box of valentines candy in under an hour.
Dan watched in silent horror as she continued. What was with women and chocolate? Were he the drinking kind, he would have gotten a drink. Instead, he poured himself another glass of water and took a seat on the other side of the couch, away from the candy detritus.
“You’re gonna get sick,” he muttered, knowing full well his warning would go unheeded.

Merlin pursed his lips slightly. He couldn’t speak to what mistakes were made given he didn’t know the man PERSONALLY. But Champ had seen fit to send him into the field. “Per’aps they did nae know yer brother as well as ye seem te think. Colleagues are nae always friends.” But then, with friends one always wanted to believe the best.
“Regardless, I cannae speak te wha’ mistakes were made. I met yer brother once before the assignment.” And he hadn’t been paying much ATTENTION to the man while they were at the bar. He’d been more concerned about Harry.
“And I’m sure he was the consummate asshole professional he always is.” Were circumstances different, he would be smiling at his jab about Jack, but as it were, the delivery came out bitter.
The more they talked, the harder it was to hold any hope. Dan was no stranger to certain expressions on people’s faces and his years of experience in Interpol told him he was almost certainly right about what he already knew had happened deep down.
“Just as I’m sure ‘bout what I’m not letting you tell me.” Dan offered a pale imitation of a smile, his dark eyes steady on his visitor’s. “Let me get you a drink for coming all this way.”
