“What? No!” Mark started, then realized Robbie was playing along. “Heh, nice. I’m still not taking yours back even if you haven’t gotten me anything.”

“ Aw that’s cool. I haven’t got ya nothing yet anyways. Then we’d be squaresies. “ Robbie didn’t try to fight the laugh as he played along.

Mark grunted when he saw the movies. He’d actually seen most of these, but there’s no way Robbie would believe that. So he just sighed and shook his head until he saw the hoodie.

“Whoa,” he breathed. “This is cool.” 

Curiously, he slipped it on and grinned. “Fits just right. Wow, you did a good job with this Christmas, Robbie.”

[ Wrapped up in a simple brown wrapper, decked out with red and green ribbons, plain but nice looking, was a packed filled with all the pictured items. ]

“Since clearly you need a little help knowing about awesome movies, I thought I’d throw some at you. Plus you can’t have enough cool sweatshirts, right? Merry Christmas, man. “                                                                           -Robbie

“Yeah.” Mark smiled sheepishly. “And with everything that’s been going on and me trying to learn not to hate myself for having a horn, it’s tough. But maybe we can just go on a normal date or something and forget about all that stuff for a while.”

“Yeah, it’s been a while for me too,” she admitted with a soft smile. Between college and superheroing, dancing with him at the rave and kissing him on the cheek after the Eternals left was the most action she had gotten in a while.

“Yeah.” Mark smiled sheepishly. “Sorry. I’m just not used to this whole, uh...It’s been a while since I’ve been on a date.”

“An activity?” she asked, puzzled… before she realized that he probably meant a date. “Oh! Yes… I’d really like that.”

"So...” Mark fidgeted and looked around, everywhere but directly at Selah.

“Do you, maybe, want to, uh, do an activity?”

“Oh,” Selah gave a little gasp. She could feel her cheeks burn with a blush and she fidgeted a little. “That… um… nice. Thanks… I… I kinda like doing things for you too.”

“Oh. Well...” Mark raked a finger through his hair and smiled sheepishly. Maybe it was time to try this joking around business.

“In that case, maybe I’ll just take back your present.”

“No offense, bud, not really a party with two people. Sorta looks sad, really.” Robbie scoffed but quickly broke into a big grin. He was just having fun with Mark and hiding the fact that he was done with Christmas.

Sometimes I wonder if the fact that Mark’s fc is a Kpop star means Mark’s destined for a musical career u_u

“Yeah, but,” Mark stammered as his blush intensified. “I like doing things for you.”

His blush got even darker, if that was possible. 

“Uh, I mean--” The Inhuman swallowed hard and cut off. “Uh. Yeah. Um.”

“Aw, you don’t have to do anything for me,” she replied, a little flustered as she returned his gaze. 

Selah had dated before. She started in High School and continued in college. But she never got over the awkwardness of the phase where she was attracted to someone but not sure where it was going yet.

“Oh.” Mark scratched his head. “Um. If it makes you feel better, I was looking forward to it. Maybe just you and I can do one?”

“ Well looks like we won’t find out and I was really looking forward to all the office party cliches. My money was on Sil being the one passing out photo copies of her ass! No one really wants to wear ugly sweaters and hang out so thank god because planning a party was crazy stressful. “
