Before finishing vs. after finishing.
Thinnest spin yet and now plied! This was one of my small demo dyes on corriedale with Mahonia aquifolium cambium (yellow layer beneath the bark) with an iron shift.
We shall see how it finishes tomorrow.

I'm not really great at hand building bowls yet, but I actually think these turned out charming, despite their many many many flaws lol
I prefer the larger version of the design, since there was room for the magpie's spread wing.
I keep meaning to make more bowls but they're a challenge to decorate and I just got a bunch of cutters for mugs and trivets and I really love my new oval tray molds so... it's a lot of competition, shape-wise, and bowls are currently losing.
