Everyone’s like “those Germans have a word for everything” but English has a word for tricking someone into watching the music video for Rick Astley’s Never Gonna Give You Up.

i cannot stress this enough, young ladies.
find a slightly older female friend. like… two to ten years older than you. they will save your life, they will teach you so much, they will give you such great life lessons. they are so vital and helpful and important.

The thing about knitting is it’s much harder to fear the existential futility of all your actions while you’re doing it.
Like ok, sure, sometimes it’s hard to believe you’ve made any positive impact on the world. But it’s pretty easy to believe you’ve made a sock. Look at it. There it is. Put it on, now your foot’s warm.
Checkmate, nihilism.

the chris pratt thing makes me so mad cause of how voice actors get treated.
charles martinet came up with the mario voice himself in a last minute audition and became the canon mario voice after doing a little booth thing to promote mario 64 at E3, where fans asked mario questions while motion censors captured his face movements on a 3d model. he even created luigi’s voice and personality on a whim, making him more anxious to explain why he wouldn’t come on screen with his brother and giving him that specific voice so his facial movements wouldn’t appear on the mario model and break the realism. then he added even more little details into luigi’s personality based on himself, like him whistling when he’s nervous and relying a lot on his older brother.
he has been there to make this character fun and interesting and lively. but decades of work and effort doesn’t mean shit when bigger names will pull in views, even when the stars don’t care about the role they’re playing

It fires crystallized demon blood like bullets… y'know, Red Orbs? I also made sure it causes any demon it hits to cough up a butt-load of blood.
Amazing, ain’t it!? You’d have to be a few beers short of a six-pack to pass up a Devil Arm like this.

September being bisexual awareness month and suicide prevention month is actually really fitting because bisexuals (especially bisexual women) are at the highest risk of suicide.
45% of bisexual women and 35% of bisexual men have considered or attempted suicide. those are horrifying numbers. now consider that more than 54% of the community is bisexual, and take into account that 40% of LGBT POC and about half of all transgender people are bisexual, and among those communities the risk of suicide is even higher.
suicide prevention is a bisexual issue. this is undeniable. you cannot claim to care about suicide prevention, especially among LGBT people, while denying the existence of biphobia and its impact both outside the LGBT community AND inside it.
