Lestat oscillates between scolding Louis for killing too easily and literally quoting the movie (“kill then swiftly if you have to but do it”) in a segue so sudden it feels like he’s doing a bit. On the other hand, I’m hearing I didn’t give STALKER 2 enough of a shake. The “improved” nighttime lighting sounds like it was just weird gamma settings you have to fix manually. The game apparently returns to being the wide open sandbox of previous games before long. The protag stops talking to himself Like That. The anomaly sensor they give you is actually more like the echo detector you also get off the bat in Call of Pripyat. Fair enough.

Though I hear NPC spawning is still kind of borked, so I’m going to wait on trying it until that’s patched.
