It was very late last night and my brain tried to come up with a term to use for one of my close irl freinds whose the nonbinary equivalent of a catboy/catgirl, and the word my brain came up with was "catfriend". I love that so much for some reason. I want this to be the gender neutral version of that term. I want to start hearing the word "catfriend".

how come most foxkin and other therians out there seem to mimic dogs when doing fox vocals? while foxes do bark, but they usually will bark to warn other foxes(often their kits or mate) of possible danger nearby. There's also their contact call, but honestly that can come off as a chirp sometimes.

They usually gekker when communicating in general(example of both casual and aggro gekkering), and their yips dont sound much like dog barks in all honesty. More like a goat or lamb doing a dog impression.. Tbh, would reccomend going to this angelfire here if you wish to practice vocals, along with this video too.

i used to have a 30-something coworker who would make jokes that were both kinda anti-therian and transphobic, like “people can identify as anything these days. like, im a dolphin. i identify as a dolphin”. at first i didn’t realize he was joking (the tism) and i was like hell yeah that’s sick. until he was like “hahaha not really, obviously”.

he did this on multiple occasions, and i remember one time after he said that i told him “you know, deep down, i think i’m really genuinely a dog.” and you know what he said?? “aw, no! don’t say that about yourself! :(” as if he was genuinely concerned about my self esteem

this was like 2 years ago. and i’m STILL offended lol. what’s so wrong about dogs??????? i would KILL to be an actual physical dog
