Fun fact! No one should have to work more than 10-15 hours a week and not even that much when you consider all the work we’re supposed to do is for ourselves or directly to our community. You know, tending to our own patch of crops or own housework. 40+ hour work weeks are a sham sold to us by the fact we were purposely worked twice of that before, so 40 hours felt like a good deal. HOWEVER. Working for corporations at all is a sham, and 40 hour work weeks are still ridiculous! I’m glad I work part time right now and I don’t want to complain about my current job. I honestly like it but I wish the entire system right now was reformed to be be more…. Human.
i think we should all get tomorrow off for no particular reason. the next day too. maybe all the days
#fuck conservatives#fuck corporations#fuck corporate greed#fuck this broken system#fuck life sometimes#fuck the government#hell yeah the natural way#this world would be a relative paradise compared to the system we have now if it weren’t for the Zios in government fucking everyone over

This is why empathy, sympathy and compassion are all different things.
The way the government treats homeless people and panhandlers ought to be evidence enough on its own that empathy doesn't always lead to ethical behavior. Middle and upper class people get uncomfortable seeing homeless people because seeing someone in a bad state triggers an uncomfortable empathic response. They feel bad seeing people suffering. But people respond by trying to remove the source of their discomfort just as often as they respond with compassion.
That's why cities respond with hostile architecture and brutality. They just need to make the problem invisible, and people stop complaining.
Empathy is very useful, but it's no substitute for actual ethical principles.

I think it needs to be said in light of VERY recent events that violence on the MAGA front is about to increase tenfold. They will see this as permission to carry out the violence they've been promising since day one. Don't fearmonger, just keep yourselves and your families wary. Please stay safe out there, americans.

QUICK REMINDER
In the US: threatening government officials is a felony under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 871). Even memes.
be careful with your jokes if they spill over to active officials.

How about none of us vote so we can see who they’re gonna choose anyway.
Saying "voting doesn't matter" might reach your younger peers online but it certainly hasn't reached Clangus Hargbarg who was part of the kkk in 1951 and still sends in his ballot. He hasn't missed a one.
#selections not elections#it’s gonna be a dictatorship under Trump#the debate was shameful#but obviously scripted#except maybe the gold part lol#compliance with the system is complacency with the system#complaince is complacency
