I unfortunately understand where that person who didn't know about propaganda is coming from. The American education system is not good. I don't know about any activists or even how to do properly research or anything. Don't get me wrong I've tried learning but it is an incredibly uphill battle when you're purposely uneducated by higher figures.

Heavenly Tyrant is the much-anticipated follow-up to Xiran Jay Zhao鈥檚 Iron Widow. It opens after Wu Zetian has raised the legendary king Qin Zheng and burned the government to the ground in a firey rage of revenge and purpose. Now, she鈥檚 facing the not-so-pleasant side of revolution, the part she never planned to be alive for: the part where another world actually needs to be built. Qin Zheng is a brutal anti-capitalist willing to raze all and any profiteers to the ground to raise the world he wants; Zetian unexpectedly finds herself recommending caution in the face of his unrelenting power鈥攁 power that threatens her life and autonomy at every turn. But even as they battle back and forth, a bigger threat exists. They鈥檒l need to take down the gods themselves if they have any real hope of freeing their people.
Zetian is thrown out of the world of revenge and into a more difficult political realm than she was prepared for, and there鈥檚 no rest when even her sleep becomes a training ground for Qin Zheng to teach her new ways to fight, and the gods might be listening to every word said. Zetian鈥檚 actions are unsurprisingly often foolish, and her blindness is well-written, the reader often realizing what she seemingly can鈥檛 before she does. Qin Zheng is an infuriating, frustratingly hot tyrant who feels confident that his is the only word that matters. The two of them, in some ways, are perfect for each other: both willing to burn the world down if they deem it necessary, both put their personal idea of revolution first at all times, and they constantly spar or rage over the other鈥檚 choices, neither willing to let their guard down and risk losing.
The book鈥檚 great weakness, to no fault of Zhao, was that I didn鈥檛 get the memo that this series was going to have three books instead of two, and so the pacing felt all out of whack from what I felt was supposed to leave room for the entire conclusion of the novel. As a 2nd book, however, it was excellent, chunky, a realistic look at trying to build a new, more just world, and on the many people who drive such a world forward (and how their individual, more selfish goals can influence their actions for the worse). The twists are compelling and the emotions of anger, frustration, and repression, of spice and betrayal in turn, will twist through the reader as these two infuriating characters try to do the impossible. Can鈥檛 wait for book three!
Content warnings for violence, abuse, body horror, mass murder, reproductive coercion, suicidal ideation, toxic relationships, and mentions of sexual abuse, miscarriage, domestic abuse, and suicide.

I can't stand Child free people, as a child free person.
Like I have a legit trigger based in children screaming. That is a PTSD thing from years of abuse when I was a child. So I can't hardly deal with children in public but guess what!!! That's a personal problem! I deal with that by not going at times when kids are there! Or by putting in headphones!
But demanding the world become more hostile to children than it already is is just the peak of fucking entitlement.
"Oh but my wonderful anniversary dinner shouldn't be ruined by the sound of a baby screaming"
Go to a restaurant that doesn't allow children. They do exist! They tend to be more expensive but they exist! Or! Or! Better yet! Don't eat out! Rent out somewhere for the night and cook your own damn food!
"I shouldn't have to listen to a baby screaming on a plane"
That baby is far more uncomfortable than you are. It's literally in pain because of pressure changes in the cabin. Parents hate it too! There is no good answer for this so suck it up! Get noise canceling headphones and listen to a podcast or a book or music.
Children are human beings. They're not annoying pets that people happen to create. They have a right to be in public, to exist just like anyone else.
If you want eternal calm and quiet move out to the country and become a fucking hermit.

I'm almost 30 and still amazed you can just walk into a library and pull a book off a shelf and read it, don't even need to ask anyone, can just sit down and read book for free until closing time. There is nothing that free anywhere else that isn't serreptitiouly religious or requiring registration. that's how stuff should be. Libraries are so good
