"Well, I think it could best be described as an Edwardian Gothic Northern Exposure."

As much as I love Northern Exposure a part of me wishes they had ended the show differently. Not that there was anything wrong with how they ended it. I just think it would have been cool if in the last scene we hear "Cut! Great! Let's set up the next scene." An older Ed walks into view, and we see cameras, the actors breaking character, crew doing their jobs etc.

Ed joins a CBS entertainment reporter, who says, "I'm here on the set of Northern Exposure with creator and director Ed Chigliak." He explains the show and characters are based on his childhood growing up in small town Alaska, and how much he cares for them all. Eventually they start filming the next scene and the show continues. I think that would have been the perfect ending for a magical realism series. :)

Northern exposure may very well have been the most meaningful Jewish show of the last 50 years and that’s kinda insane but this stupid 90s sit com needs to stop ripping my heart out of my chest

I just wanna applaud y'all for plunging headfirst into the great river of democracy. I mean, our election is just a small tributary, y’know, a singular thread in the greater fabric, linked by tradition, love and honor to the swift, clear bracing waters from which our traditions are founded.

But I'm just saying, let's take a little time out here to slap ourselves on the back, give a kiss on the cheek, a hale and hearty fare-thee-well to all our fine noble Cicelian citizens.

Well, it's kind of complicated. First, read the literature, then listen to the speeches, but eventually, you just have to go with your gut.

Look each candidate in the eye, y’know, and try to figure out which one is least likely to become an unprincipled sleaze bucket.
