Why do I love ʻAbdu'l-Bahá?

Since childhood, I knew He was there. I believed He was there. I looked at His Portrait... I moved to the left, and He was looking at me. I moved to the right; He still was looking at me! I always wondered if He was looking at me even if I was in school. If He was looking at me even if I locked Him up in my closet!

Why do I love ʻAbdu'l-Bahá?

When I was scared from the dark, I would close my eyes under my blanket and imagine His gentle hand on my head and would fall asleep.

Why do I love ʻAbdu'l-Bahá?

On my first day at school, I had no friends, but I knew I had ʻAbdu'l-Bahá, so I whispered to Him all day long.

Why do I love ʻAbdu'l-Bahá?

When I would win an award in school, I would run home, run to my room, look at His radiant Countenance and say, ‘Look ʻAbdu'l-Bahá!’.

And after a few moments of showing off my achievements, I would quietly say, ‘Thank you ʻAbdu'l-Bahá.’

Why do I love AbdulBaha?

Moments, days, and years have passed, and I still ask myself the same question, but now I know that really, for reasons unknown, I just simply love ʻAbdu'l-Bahá.
