This invitation was surprising to say the least. Had this been prior to the transformation to his true age and body, he wouldn’t have been in the state of bewilderment. Perhaps, the sender was unaware of the news of his current state and lack of mantle. Yet, he decided to contact team to find out whom else it was that had been invited.

Hey there! I've been not so much inactive but neglectful of this and most of my roleplay accounts and for which I apologize profusely for. Should you wish to roleplay or do something, I can have starters and things out when I get home (because I have icons available readily to me there--I should really use my dropbox for rp). 

Oh, as a head's up, whenever the arc: sword, shield, and claws ends, I'll be spiraling Cap into becoming old man Cap (something not only have I been wanting since about March but also something that is canon a la Remender). I might actually multi-verse for once and have a non-old man Cap verse buuuut for the most part, I actually quite enjoy having Steve in a more off field position (because he just hates it) and letting others shine. -- IF ANYONE WOULD LIKE TO TAKE PART IN THAT ARC, PLEASE LET ME KNOW. I would be honored if anyone would help me get him transitioned rather than having me do all of it through one shots xD

Above the camp soared the Banshee mutate, protecting the perimeter and his friends. The guards, having realized the situation they were now in, made last resorts. Hidden in an alleyway, two of the men removed yellow glowing serums from their pockets, a worrisome conversation followed as they had.

"Do you believe the doctors? That these would be temporary changes?" 

"No, but what choice do we have?"

As the needle broke skin and the two had plunged the serum into their veins, one spoke. "Uhn. Our lives are forfeit. We'll be killed by the prisoners...or this syringe." Dangerous words to live or die by.

However, soon after the transformation, the Sunfire mutate had noted the two and attacked them using his abilities to manipulate solar radiation. Fire surrounded the two guards as they'd screamed by the sudden ambush. "Raaaaaargh!" and "Aaaaaaaargh!" was heard as the two knelt forward due to the pain. 

Yet, suddenly, one managed to capture the prisoner whom had attacked them. As Sunfire attempted to fly away, he'd suddenly been grabbed by the guard, a loud SNAP had been heard. "Help!, " Sunfire had called out.

The guard, angered by the plasma attack had yelled in retaliation. "YOU DID THIS TO ME!!! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!" With a swift shift, the guard managed to throw the other hundreds of feet towards the camp's barbed wire fence. "You want to leave the camp so bad? THEN GO!"

As Sunfire had flown forward, he was yelling. Was it fear or perhaps the fact that he'd been thrown so suddenly that threw him off guard? Unfortunately, whatever it was, it caused the mutate to not think clearly and attempt to change his trajectory through the combination of his flight and plasma blasts. Instead, the man had continued to head towards the barbed wire fence. At which point, he'd met a bloody demise with a loud and wet SPELACK! 

Having witnessed the murder of one of his prisoner brethren, the Thunderbird mutate jumped forward and kicked the guard using his superhuman strength. "SAVAGE!," he had angrily yelled as a loud KRACK had been heard when the two made contact and the rock mutate had chipped and bled as a result from it. 

"Hak!" The startled guard said as blood flooded from his mouth and poured down through the gaps in teeth and rock made by the other mutate. "I'm going to drink your blood." He'd declared as his fellow guard grabbed Thunderbird tightly from behind. "Help! Gak--"

"Grab him!" This gave the original guard the opportunity to hold firmly onto the fidgeting mutate's legs. 

As the two guards began to literally pull the man apart, the original had cruelly taunted with, "make a wish."

Screaming in agony, Thunderbird had little faith in a future. "YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!" Luckily, he was not in this fight alone (and has Deadpool's healing abilities). With a single throw of the shield, Captain America viciously attacked the rock mutate's head. A loud KLANG followed the shield as it had bounced off the guard and returned to it's owner.

"WHO DARES?!" yells an angry and power hungry guard.

FAP. The shield was easily caught by the patriotic hero who, beneath raining waters, made a gutsy bravado. "Your camp has fallen. I urge you to surrender. You don't need to die tonight."
