I've been there, I also clinged hard to people that hurt me. It was just my child instinct, doesn't mean it didn't hurt.
this is so dehumanizing -> he's implying Eunyung isn't normal bc a normal kid would've stopped when they felt the pain. therefore Eunyung must not feel the pain since he keeps misbehaving.

he planned to stay there for the winter. but after the rude wake-up call the Haejoon amd Juwan gave him he can't just ignore it anymore.

Anhedonia
The Kingdom of Nor is in a state of unrest after it entered a treaty with a neighboring maritime state, accidentally triggering a cold war across the continent.
That's why Juno was shocked when he was appointed to guard the youngest Princess Vivianne together with two other ill-fitted individuals, Peony and Mio. Two teenagers who also arrived from the countryside at the king's notice.
Juno never left the orphanage he grew up at. Instead, she worked for free for Mrs. Reeves, the owner of Sunset Orphanage. He knows nothing about the political climate of the capital, or how royals to act. But what he knows for certain is, if Princess Vivianne gets harmed, he will be killed.

Life has thrown Juno many curveballs, in times of peace, so why is it hard for him to feel joy? Is it because his mother died a miserable and lonely death? Or because his father kicked him and his brother out to build a new family so soon after their mother's funeral? Whatever the reason may be, Juno is determined to find joy, and things start looking up for him when somebody keeps leaving lovely bouquets of flowers in front of his locker.
—A story about the people that matter in our lives, and being honest with ourselves—

Memory Gap
-Why did you hit me when we wear out dress-shopping? You really soiled my excitement. I was just a little girl.
-What are you talking about? I never hit you! You always make stuff up. After everything I've sacrificed for you! Does it feel fun? Spinning lies about your mother!?
-...No, I'm sorry mom, I must've remembered wrong.

Past and Presents
A small child with eyes too big for her delicate face, which saw more than needed. In Pictures, a tiny frown was prevalent, too serious for a six-year-old. Too accepting of less and way more perceptive than needed. You never needed to learn how to share, you were happy to give what you lacked.
If I could, even for a day, I'd shower you with affection and gifts. But, knowing you, you'd only share

Little Secretary
Frequently, you find yourself deepening your voice and standing on your toes. Your little voice and childish words bounce off the kitchen walls. The government employee demands to speak to your parents but you can't do that- Because Mother never learned the language of the people she sought help from. Because your father is busy scrapping together this month's rent. Because your parents said they need you, you are their voice and advocate. So you deepen your voice further until your throat burns and stretch your neck longer.
