i would love to post some of my project here but unfortunately watching a new harassment campaign about how people read a character devolve into digging up their personal lives in search of reasons to justify the disdain has got me on edge and everything ive made wrt the clown is steeped in interpersonal trauma and processign those themes. so i guess sorry to the people who do want to see. its a discord baby forever now
#ive thought about when ihave more finished letting there be a small discord that isnt just my vetted friends but evne that is like. idk.#i do feel bad bci get nice feedback and i know clownwells are dry. but i just cant handle this shit#just seeing it happen to others makes me want to leave again#its clown town

many of these books require trigger warnings, especially some of the older ones that are more likely to feature racial struggles of the time. please do your due diligence and search for tws if you want to read them!

Hi friends,
It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day in Gaza; with no food, no medicine, no clean drinking water; with oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts, and daily traumas caused by everything around us and inability to care for loved ones. the fear of danger, disease and death never leaves us.
Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and humbly ask for your help to save the lives of my family, and helping us have money for medication or other necessities we may have access to.
Asking for help is not easy, but we were left with no choice because we want to survive and we strive to rebuild our broken lives. We are very grateful for any help you can provide, no matter how small, as your help will contribute greatly to alleviating our suffering.
I hope you will share my story with your family and friends.
Vetted !!!
(#167 on the verified fundraiser list by el-shab-hussein and nabulsi) (but we had to make a new gfm campaign cuz our old organizer stopped contacting us).

but actually what is the beef with terezi
what ISNT my beef with noose imagery cop girl whos dissolution from the ideals she grew up with start and end with what personally absolves her of her guilt and whos story in no small part exists to contextualize racialized fear.
but like seriously as much as i probably give the vibe i dont like. hate her. a big part of why she frustrates me so much is i was very invested in her story and as much as i genuinely do enjoy rewriting history itself to save the girl you love i just hateee that it came at the expense of seeing her grow in a way that feels like her thoughts on her past ideals start and end with one situational context and dont make her contend with other aspects of how she views justice and punishment. and more specifically i hate that we watch her go from an agent of her own will to a very passive character under the idea that because she has gotten what she wanted we should be like. satisfied. maybe im a bad dyke for it but i dont really find the way that her problems solutions are just handed to her via plot finality rather than having to do the work of unwiring very good writing and i especially dont find it to be the ultimate feminist take back a lot of people come away with it feeling just because we get some toxic yuri out of it. i would like her to be forced to contend with her opinions on a scope wider than the people she loves!
#i feel like ive explained this before and im not adding much to what ive already said but that is ok#it takes a lot for me to even post about her bc idont want people scrolling chracter search to feel a need to Come at me over fiction#ask#ftr im a vrsrzi enjoyer too. i just have so many qualms about hs tells these things from a standpoint of politic

Anas has gastric cancer.
Anas (@dr-anas96) is severely suicidal and is dying on the inside in every sense of the word. Mentally he feels his life is over, and physically he's barely moving anymore, only occasionally coming to consciousness and vomiting blood.
I'm begging you from the bottom of my heart not to let my friend die. This entire time, during this genocide he's living through, he's been:
Supporting his elderly parents find shelter through the collapse of their tent.
Supporting the children of Gaza by cheering them up through drawing and acting and other activities, as well as teaching them survival skills.
Corresponding and reinforcing solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, and the Black community.
Being an invaluable friend to many, including me.
Now, with some reprieve for Gazans seemingly so close, he is dying. I don't use this word lightly because I don't want to believe my dear friend is dying. I am only saying it because I have no escape from believing it
But I still have hope that we can carry him through this so he can see the end of this difficult road. I am not giving up on him and I'm begging, begging, begging, begging you all not to give up either. We're so close.

what are jakes ties to colonalism?
im so glad you are interested but i almost struggle with where to start with this one because it feels like asking the entire basis of a character. jakes been a figure associated with colonialist overreach since grandpas introduction. i dont feel like i have to explain grandpas ties given thats like basically the entire character. but jake does have a persisting overlap in his interests in both the women he idealizes and the imagery and interest in adventuring/archaeology/etcetc being pretty much entirely based in european ideas of expansion on "undiscovered" land. this persists to his interests in media and the ways he wields desire. also like,it isnt a coincidence that hes the character to share a name with lord english who is himself the comics stand in for colonial control.

not that i dont love the catharsis of making a haterly little post but i do think its very silly how ive seen posts very obviously and directly referencing my(/the people who read similarly i tend to run with) posts especiallyyyy when i make posts saying maybe karkat isnt simply the hapless victim whos never been more than a little bit mean and simply functions as a vessel for abuse (???) in a dynamic he set the precedent for. like i can admit to being a bit facetious in the ways i talk about wanting to throttle him for it (and i mean this dgmw) but like.can we seriously not handle one of the characters most absolved and backed by the narrative getting a crumb of real critique. is it truly so bad. does it hurt you.
#said it before but likers of the popular characters couldnt last in the total assault to niceties in the clown mines#like you would not believe the things i have been harassed for. i still get dumbass asks i ignore and i intentionally limit followers#also we all know how the vessel for abuse is. its like 75% of her screentime everyone just hates her so much it isnt seen as assault#its clown town

It's interesting to me how there's a lack of interest in Jake considering they have a lot of transfem conversation around them. Though the flavor of transfeminity that Gamzee has vs Jake are pretty different. But it's neat to see someone just like- not care about Jake lol I support
yeah im gonna be real i dont really like what ive seen of how people talk about jakes gender either i think theres a lot of really charged stuff about hs fans seem to deal with masculinity in general in ways that create feeedback loops of transmisogyny in the characters they tend to read as transfem (especially because i see them mostly coming fromtme people, i think that context does matter in the same way my being conscious of how transfems feel about my readings do). that said i am not plugged into the fandom so idk how common these readings are and definitely in conjunction with how uncommon i see my reading of gamzee to be.
#also id say im not totally disinterested in jake? but my interest does not align with things people who are generally would enjoy i tihnk#like for me i am most interested in his ties to colonialism and thus LE and the texts feelings on assertion of ones will in the text#ask
