Finally finished my most ambitious Hatchetfield project yet. Every box in the border represents a different Nightmare Time, as well as Hey Melissa, Trail to Oregon, Workin’ Boys, the BBQ monologues and Peanuts the Hatchetfield Pocket Squirrel. The three large boxes at the bottom represent the three main musicals. It’s 18x24” and made with sharpie :]

when you first hear “america is great again” when watching the guy who didn’t like musicals… starkid never fucking misses. they know. not a single miss. they say exactly what’s up without spelling it out. they spill it all. you can’t be a fan of theirs if you’re a fuckhead. they will call you out.

a really underrated joke in tgwdlm is the church one. “the apocalypse? is that what this is? maybe we should go to a church.” “no no no, charlotte, we are all from different denominations. we cannot split up! i’m a presbyterian , i’m not dying in your dirty ass methodist church.”

i just love it when starkid makes religious commentary!

i would just like to thank starkid for making one silly little zombie apocalypse musical with a sort of kind of potential couple in it and then deciding to make that couple soulmates who find each other in every timeline because we all love those random boring corporate man and crabby barista against her will woman so much that we want to see them find each other in every universe

i love the prom scene in npmd because of the vibe and the 80s romcom energy for sure! but song-wise? i think it’s the weakest one of the hatchetverse shows. it’s just kind of removed from everything else. which is why it’s so good that there’s the grace reveal after that, so the ending is more fitting!

it’s so funny that when the npmd casting was announced i was like …..mariah and joey playing love interests??? that’s so weird!! what??? but steph and pete? yeah. absolutely. makes sense. how they did that!!

i’ve been so focused on the lords in black in the summoning scene in npmd (rightfully so, i’d say) that only on this rewatch did i pay more attention to the teens and woah mariah is really acting her heart out in that scene! she’s really serving angry yet scared and desperate at the same time.
