the K is debatable as well. as SI prefix it would be lowercase and (according to wikipedia at least) the uppercase K could indicate kibi, which is 1024 so instead of 6100 bits, your image would probably be 49152 bits (give or take, the 6KB is probably rounded but the ballpark would be somewhere around 50000 bits)
