Honestly, your parents have a lot to offer. Coming from an immigrant family it’s easy to write off your parents cus you think that they grew up in a different world. One that you could never relate to. But you’d be very surprised at the advice that they give.
I was really struggling with a lot of things going on in my life but my mom told me this one thing that really helped me put things into perspective. She said sometimes people are just really selfish, but so are we. You can’t be that mad at them. Just love them unconditionally.
I think part of growing up is re-realizing that your parents are here to help. I know that’s not the case with some, but I hope that this sheds some light.
