Finally learning how to take decent turnarounds by copying the model on purpose (!!) in ZBrush... amazing...

I put it up on Thingiverse! I have been printing and sanding parts slowly via the public library's 3D printer…

I am declaring the James Ivy nendoroid finished!! I just have to get it printed...

I have no idea how well it's going to fit together, but I can guess it will be better than an older model I made.

If it fits together satisfactorily, I will probably print a head variation with an open mouth. And possibly print the headphones.

I just have to do:

1) The legs

2) A 90 degree arm alternate and

3) A hand alternate to hold the guitar

I will try to get a better version of the guitar by dynameshing and then remeshing the original in Zbrush too.

Who knows how it will actually fit together but I guess we'll see.

WIP of one of my favorite musicians right now, James Ivy. I wanted to make him into a 3D printed Nendoroid-style figurine. This is based on his appearance in the Last Star music video.

On the right is the original, which I manually poly modeled in Blender. Thing got messy once I started combining the pieces into one solid form. When I began cutting and keying the pieces for print, I realized that I wasn't going to be happy with the result. So I'm in ZBrush, sculpting for the first time in ages.
