MBBS in Italy
"Over the past 15 years, the appeal of pursuing MBBS in Italy has soared among Indian students. This trend took flight in 2009 with the introduction of medical programs taught in English by Italian public universities. Presently, around 13 public medical institutions, including prestigious universities such as Bari, Bologna, Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Messina, Milan, Milan-Bicocca, Naples Federico II, Padua, Pavia, Parma, Rome La Sapienza, Rome Tor Vergata, and Turin, offer English-medium MBBS degrees.
While select universities accept non-EU students into their English-taught programs, these medical schools are renowned worldwide for their academic excellence and affordability. Additionally, they present outstanding opportunities for residency programs, research endeavors, and clinical experiences across Europe and beyond, solidifying MBBS in Italy as a highly coveted choice for Indian students."

ABOUT US
Established in 2012 in India, the MOKSH group was created with a singular mission: to bridge the gap in the global healthcare workforce. By 2018, it had emerged as a market leader in the B2C segment of healthcare student mobility, facilitating the annual placement of over 1000 students in medical programs across six countries.
The student mobility business segment has since evolved into a pivotal feeder network for all group operations on a global scale. In response to industry demand, MOKSH introduced a new Academy in 2018. It was understood that simply placing students in medical programs was not the complete solution, as every student must pass licensing exams such as FMGE or USMLE to practice their clinical skills. The success rate of students in licensing exams like FMGE was only 14.22%, highlighting the need for a solution to help students succeed.

USMLE test-taking strategies
There is an abundance of information available on USMLE test-taking strategies. However, it is crucial to understand that the USMLE is a dynamic exam that leaves little room for shortcuts. No amount of tips and tricks can replace the need for methodical and meticulous preparation.
Nonetheless, it can be highly beneficial for you to explore the following insights. What follows is not merely a list of tips and tricks to crack the USMLE; it aims to provide you with a clearer understanding and a strategic advantage.
Importance of USMLE Step 1 and Test Strategies The recent changes to the USMLE in 2022 mark a significant shift in how the USMLE Step 1 impacts a candidate's evaluation. In essence, the USMLE Step 1 has transitioned from a competitive exam to a qualifying one, now operating on a 'pass/fail' basis. As a result, the strategies for taking the USMLE will need to evolve. The responsibility of scoring and determining rank will now primarily rest on the USMLE Step 2 CK and USMLE Step 3. However, this does not diminish the importance of USMLE Step 1.

US Medical License
The United States operates as a Federation, with individual States holding significant legislative authority. Consequently, the issuance of a US Medical License falls within the jurisdiction of each respective State.
When pursuing a career as a Doctor in the US, two distinct processes come into play: Medical Licensing and Board Certification.
Board Certification, specifically the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) Certification, involves a separate and thorough certification procedure managed centrally by the ECFMG. This process rigorously assesses a physician's knowledge and skills.
However, even with Board Certification, a Doctor in the US can only practice medicine once granted an American Medical license by a State.
While there are Federal (Central) medical positions filled by healthcare professionals, such as in the US Military or Federal prisons, these Doctors are also required to hold a license from a US State. Typically, Doctors practice in the State that has granted them a State Medical License, which serves as their official medical license in the USA.

Residency Programs
Residency programs serve as advanced training opportunities for medical graduates who have obtained an M.D. or D.O. degree from medical school. These programs offer specialized training in specific medical fields such as internal medicine, pediatrics, surgery, or family medicine. To apply for residency programs, medical students must initially register with the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP). The NRMP is a computerized matching service that aligns applicants with residency programs based on their preferences.
The process of applying for residency positions is highly competitive, requiring applicants to thoroughly research their desired programs and submit compelling applications. Most residency programs typically request the submission of the following materials:

The NRMP Application plays a vital role for medical students and graduates aspiring for residency positions in the United States. Known as the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), this process is highly competitive and structured, pairing aspiring doctors with residency programs across the nation. Having a thorough understanding of the NRMP Match is essential for navigating this demanding selection process successfully.
The NRMP Match employs a computerized algorithm to match applicants with residency programs based on their preferences and the programs' rankings. The process commences with applicants submitting their applications through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). These applications typically include personal statements, letters of recommendation, and academic transcripts. Subsequently, applicants and programs undergo interviews and evaluations before submitting their rank order lists to the NRMP.

NExT 2
The NEXT 2 examination is designed to evaluate the readiness of a recent MBBS graduate to effectively manage and advise patients in real-life scenarios. It is confirmed that NEXT 2 will not be linked to the Medical PG process; rather, it will serve as a licentiate examination enabling individuals to independently practice medicine in India.
It is important to note that the following information is not based on any official announcement by the NMC. While not entirely speculative, there is a high likelihood that the details presented here will align with the actual exam format.
NEXT 2 Exam Pattern: The objective of the NEXT 2 exam suggests that the questions will focus on assessing the clinical skills of newly graduated MBBS professionals. This presents a few potential scenarios.
In the past, the USMLE included a section known as the USMLE Step 2 CS, which evaluated a physician's practical patient management skills. Although USMLE no longer includes this test, the format of questions in NEXT 2 may draw similarities from Step 2 CS.
In this setup, physicians interacted with individuals acting as patients. The doctor conducted an examination, made diagnostic inferences, proposed a treatment plan, and proceeded accordingly. This process was time-intensive, and it wouldn't be surprising if, similar to USMLE, the NEXT 2 exam spans over an 8-hour duration.
Given the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, real-life patient interactions may be limited. A potential adaptation could involve computer-simulated case studies, where doctors engage with virtual patients to diagnose and treat medical conditions.

NExT 1
Undoubtedly, NEXT 1 is poised to be the more competitive of the two, NEXT 1 and NEXT 2. It will serve dual objectives: determining the readiness of aspirants for internship and evaluating their eligibility for medical postgraduate seats. To emphasize, while the former will require aspirants to meet the qualification criteria, the latter will entail intense competition for limited seats.
It is important to note that the information provided here is primarily based on speculation. Nevertheless, our experts anticipate that this is the expected format, with minor variations.
