Some miphlink kiddos but colored! I honestly think I failed at the colors, at least for the clothes but I’m too tired to care rn.

So this is based on mm kiddos, and I believe that zoras lay eggs, so Mipha had many eggs, but only two really survived. The prince- River, and the princess- Maren.

For River i wanted his fins and stuff to be very small. He’s a bit more Hylian and takes after his dad. He can’t breathe underwater unlike other zora (I suppose his gills don’t work well) and is a good runner for a zora. He has big ol eyes and is a hyper kiddo

Maren on the other hand has very big fins and the tail thing. She’s great at swimming, maybe even better than other zora, but she can’t hear very well due to small ears compared to her brother. She’s a bit more reserved and I knooooow the heart shaped on her are tacky but I just… I really wanted a pink and frilly character just let me have this 😞

I feel like the colors themselves are good, but the clothes and jewelry are bad, so pretend that they picked out the jewelry themselves and that’s why the colors suck 😅

River hates jewelry and clothes in general but Maren loves them, so she’s a little bit more decked out than he.

- eldest daughter

- Link's genes didn't even try lol

- looks almost exactly like Mipha

- Sweet and bubbly personality

Domi (doh-mee)

- middle child

- short head tail

- "ears" that stick out from under head flippers

- not as tall as other zora his age

- quiet and kinda nerdy

- hates training (prefers to be reading), but is good with bow and arrow

Lati (lah-tee)

- youngest child

- inherited Link's wild adventurous spirit

- energetic, curious, a bit mischievous

- has a nose and longer legs, lacks a zora forehead protrusion

- loves riding horses and is skilled with a sword

- particularly attached to Link and aspires to be just like him (perhaps even wishes she was fully hylian?)

Miphlink Week 2024: First/Last

Honestly I'm a little disappointed in this one, as I had originally envisioned the blue healing aura causing light rays to shoot out in different directions, causing the past version of them as kids to be visible in-between light rays, so it would be one singular piece. Unfortunately due to the size disparities between them in the two pieces, it just didn't look good, so I had to compromise and keep them separate. Maybe I'll return to that concept another day...

💘 MIPHLINK!!! Do I have to say it? Absolutely 110% Miphlink. Honestly they are a pairing that I love more than all the other ships I have ever shipped, and I come back to them whenever other hyper fixations fizzle out or I want something comforting. I love them both so much. AoC is one of my favourite zelda games for that reason. (BoTW too, but the tragic lovers vibe is so sad)

Skyward Sword Zelink, a little bit, I wasn’t head over heals for them, but SS Zelda reminded me a fair bit of Mipha (if Mipha had been brought up in a less dangerous time and with less royal duties they would have probably been more similar), so that was that! 

I really wish I shipped Revali with someone, because I love the birb because he is stupid and fun to draw, initially I was a pining Miphvali shipper, but like, I wasn’t a massive fan of that, so maybe ZelVali? Some people ship that, and I’ve got to say the Revali and Zelda talking scene is one of my favourite cutscenes in BoTW, not to mention Zelda’s dialogue to Revali; If not romantic, definitely platonic. 

Teba and Saki are the adorable birb parents so I quite like their couple dynamic? Im not really the biggest shipper outside of Miphlink tbh.

I honestly have no idea? Probably a Hylian (boring answer sorry!), but maybe a Rito. I love the decoration styles, and bright colours, and also they live in a cool climate and I do not like hot weather. So maybe a rito.

I think my favourite dungeon would have to be the Ancient Cystern in SS, I just love how beautiful the whole thing is, with all the lotus-y patterns and the pinks and turquoises and the flowers and stuff. ITs just so dang beautiful!! I also really loved the Sandship Dungeon. I think in terms of play through that was my favourite from start to finish. Location is SO much harder. Aesthetically Satori Mountain, and Rito village, story-wise and where I spend my most time in BoTW Zora’s domain, I also Love the Zora’s domain and Rito Village music. Also sweet cozy little skyloft is so nice and permanent and homely. The great plateau is so nostalgic and I love that too… AAA I don’t think I can pick! In AoC it has to be Scero’s Supplies, I know you can’t really go there, but the merging of Zora and Hateno architecture is just so beautiful and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!

Ohhh… Unpopular Zelda opinions… I have quite a few of those. Ok. Here we go. 

ToTK is AWUFUL. Hot dang it is the worst thing ever. It wasn’t even the story that made me stop playing. It was one line from an NPC in Rito Village. Molli wants to make elemental arrows, and has an idea for arrow inventions, that can freeze enemies! No way that’s so cool, except… that is literally one of the main things in the last game. You can buy elemental arrows from the shops. Like what the heck? At least explain to me why a very common commodity that EVERYONE but Particularly the people who’s job it is to look after Bows (Harth and Moli) know about and have access to is somethign they want to invent now. I hate is. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. I ha- anyway. I despise whatever Lazy idiot decided that was the way to go. Who cares about lore? Not us apparently. I also have a massive problem with the imperialist mass-destruction weapon wearing zonai as well. And as a historian I just love BoTW so much better than ToTK. It treats its history with respect, and nuance, and good golly thats not how ruins from 10,000 years ago would work and o my word stop suspending my disbelief!?! 

Anyway. I could rant for far longer about far more things, but I’ll leave it at that. 

Way more unpopular, and Zelink shippers please ignore this: I think BoTW Zelink is creepy. The power dynamic is insanely bad (princess and her servant who literally cannot disobey her father), and the age gap is also awful (16 turned 17 for one day and “20 something” from the BoTW art book). 

Also, the women deserve better from that fandom. But that’s not news.

Thinking about my miphlink baby Q-Q

I saved the zora eggs in majoras mask so I wanted to draw their baby as the zora babies lol. It is a bit diffciult for him since he’s half zora and half Hylian, but he does have a more normal zora growth. Tho he does need to be out of the water so he can breathe oxygen. Idk I won’t go too much into his biology. He has HUGE eyes. Very big poppin eyes

Admittedly, Link was shocked at the sight of a zora baby, but he wasted no time being obsessed with his little boy. And his little boy wasted no time being obsessed with his grandpas <333 idk I’m feelin soft for miphlink rn

Some Miphlink headcanons for Valentine’s Day:

-Mipha prefers her fish raw, but is willing to try Link’s cooking.

-(Canon info: After rescuing Mipha in “Water and Fire”, control is switched to Sidon. After rescuing Daruk, the Creamy Seafood Soup is unlocked.) From this I like to imagine that Link stays behind with Mipha while Sidon goes to rescue Daruk and Yunobo, and that during this time, Link made the Creamy Seafood Soup to help Mipha recover her strength. It would go on to be one of her favorites, an exception to her usual preferences.

-Since Zora have such short legs, I’d imagine that Mipha would get tire quickly when walking on foot. Knowing this, Link would make a point to give her footrubs and leg massages after long days of marching.

-(Credit to @only-by-the-stars for the following ones!) Mipha has dolphin teeth (sharp and conical). Additionally when pleased she will chirp like a dolphin. She is initially embarrassed about revealing these to Link, so he treasures the moments when she is comfortable enough to reveal them freely.

I love how much Zelda and Link’s relationship in Skyward Sword mirrors Link and Mipha’s in Breath of The Wild. 

The intimate scene where the characters talk in the sky and the reuniting are framed in almost the same way. The fact they both gave Link garments that were required to continue the rest of the story is also neat. I just love how the developers of the game used Link’s romance with Mipha to call back to the one in Skyward Sword. It’s little details like this that really make a game enjoyable 😊
