Question: for the writers, what are the rules for what they can write (ex only canon ships, no gender/sexuality headcanons, etc)?

The fic that the writers create must be acceptable for all audiences, due to the presence of minors in the event (think anything from a G to T rating on AO3, for a measure).

There are some ships that are banned: ships between explicitly related characters (such as Kai and Nya), between an adult and a child, or between Lloyd and the other ninja. Lloyd x Harumi, as a canon relationship, will be allowed for the event, if a writer so chooses to write about them.

Writers will also have a beta look over their work at some point during the event. They can use a beta from outside the event, or have one be provided for them.

What is the word count limit for writers? This looks like a fun event!

Writers must write a minimum of 1000 words for their fic. But there is no maximum limit.

WELCOME TO THE NINJAGO BIG BANG

STATUS: SIGN UPS ARE NOW OPEN!

Hello fans of Ninjago! Hope you're all ready for the Ninjago Big Bang! The event is hosted by @aeroargonic and runs from November to March, partnering artists and writers to create works together based on our favourite show. The tag #ninjagobigbang2425 will be used to promote this year's event.

A Big Bang is an event that features writers creating a fanfiction, and then artists making content based on that fanfiction! This event is designed to be a beginner's event so whether you're a longtime veteran of Big Bangs or this is your first time doing one, all are welcome!
