Revlite Laser Treatment Review

Most women, if not all, long for flawless blemish-free skin. We admire those gorgeous ladies with close-to-perfect-skin like the ones we see on TV commercials; but let’s be honest, how many here really put the time and effort to maintain their healthy smooth glowing skin?

Reality check: when we fail to take care of our skin, it actually starts failing us too ha ha! And since I tend to get lazy every single time I need to conceal my imperfections with makeup, I finally decided to have my monthly Revlite toning facial at Skin 101 Dermatology Clinic Shangrila East Wing branch.

Revlite toning facial basically consists of facial, diamond peel treatment and Revlite machine all in one session. Revlite is a non-invasive laser treatment that rejuvenates the skin giving it a smoother texture. Sun spots, freckles, acne scars, larges pores, fine lines, pigmentations can also be treated by Revlite as well. Per session, it costs P3000 and P15000 for 8 sessions valid until today, October 31. Of course, I took advantage of the promo! ;)

Skin 101 Shangrila branch is by far the most instagrammable derma clinic I have ever been to. Every corner is visually appealing!

Cleansing first before anything else, then followed by pricking to get rid of whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, and the like.

After the regular facial, I was transferred to another room for my Revlite treatment. Although it smelled like a burning rubber, the 20-minute procedure was not painful at all. To be honest, the pricking was way more painful than this one.

For the post revlite treatment, my dermatologist gave me Betamethasone cream that should be applied two times a day over all treated areas for three days. Soap, make-up and sun block can be used immediately after the procedure.

Overall: 9/10. I would highly recommend Revlite to anyone with uneven skin tone, acne scars and other skin issues or to anyone who just wants to have younger looking skin and skin rejuvenation. There is absolutely no downtime and it definitely works fast. As fast as you enter the clinic with bad skin, you exit with healthy glowing skin afterwards.

Kalimera! For those who don't know, that means 'good day' in Greek. The staff, nail technicians and front desk officer warmly welcomed me with the word 'Kalimera' the moment I entered Kallista’s Greece-inspired lounge. That’s definitely a plus for having such courteous and respectful employees!

While my nail technician was leading me to my seat, she offered me a drink. I asked for an iced green + white tea by Starbucks Teavana. My preferred beverage made me feel even more relaxed during the session and throughout the day ha ha. Not to mention that at Kallista, they take rest and me-time seriously. Ask for a blank or an eye mask, and they will definitely give one!

How to Stay Positive

Have you ever felt like giving up on a task because you lost your motivation along the way or maybe you were just too tired and discouraged? If your answer is yes, then you are not alone because bruhhh, I feel you. So to make you smile a bit, let me send you a warm virtual hug! >:D<

Surprise surprise, just like any other young woman, I get stressed too especially with all the work piling up. Some days, I feel like I am all charged up and motivated and then there are days when I miss how easy life used to be. There are also times I feel like I am literally running out of time because there are just too many unreasonable deadlines at once to the point that I get so close to searching on google how to divide myself into several pieces just to make my day as productive as possible. In fact, to be completely honest, I have been feeling burnt out lately. September is quite a busy period — a busy week followed by a busy weekend, then another busy week coming up, and so on and so forth for the whole month and the rest of Ber months. It is not easy, rather it is never easy to balance the demands of ministry, graduate school and work including blog updating and social media management.

But on a brighter note, I still manage to smile and laugh most of the time. I often hear people say that it’s one thing to get motivated and it’s another to stay motivated. Well, same goes for positivity. So if you are feeling weak, take a moment to regain your composure and strengthen yourself. Know that you are capable of more than you think you are and that all the hard work you put in now will eventually be worth it. Another advice I can give you is surround yourself with people, may it be your family or your friends, who believe in you to the point that you never want to doubt yourself again. Don't be afraid to keep them and to let them know the real you.

As for my small circle of family and friends (in my case, both are interchangeable terms :p) , I am indeed so blessed to have such amazing people who make my sad days go away and help me find beauty in the mess of life. Yes, I encounter problems on a daily basis but a big yes too that I have my gems, who happen to be my family and friends. They actually support and pull me up even when life gets tough. 

I don’t know about you, but what automatically helps me radiate positivity is when I get a compliment from my loved ones on my sweet scent despite feeling and looking completely haggard. I remember the time when a friend of mine told me that I smelled like a baby, it made me feel good about myself. Believe me when I say that domino effect happens when you smell good. It will in turn make you feel good and when you feel good, you can radiate positive energy that eventually amplifies within your circle of friends. With the assurances you get from your squad goals, the feeling of insecurity can go away. Friends can give that positive boost that us, women, need to hear to feel secure through simple words of advice and affirmation. A simple compliment can go a long way to a young woman’s positivity, right? :)

Skin in a New Light

Let me start this blog post by saying that I was interviewed by First Tier Brands about my experience with Kojie San last Wednesday at the Kojie San Bring Your Skin to Light Event held in La Creperie. I shared that I have been a loyal user of Kojie San Skin Lightening Soap for years now.
