Junko is a princess preparing to take on the throne but she has to marry someone first (because in the old times women just couldn't be queen without getting married to a royal) and Mukuro is also a princess but she opted to become a knight instead.

Junko likes to tease Mukuro by being overly flirtatious because she knows she's in love with her. Mukuro on the other hand doesn't know if Junko feels the same or if she's just messing with her. The day comes where Junko has to choose a suitor to become her consort and many princes and princesses come in order to impress her and hopefully get chosen.

Junko is known to be the most beautiful person throughout the world and many people are vying for her attention. There's an entire line of suitors wanting to get Junko's hand in marriage and Mukuro is just to the side along with her fellow knights absolutely devastated that she'll lose Junko forever. Junko steps down from her throne and surveys the many royals vying for her love and she pretends to be interested, basically toying with these people, getting their hopes up just to crush them into despair. Then suddenly, Junko starts to walk towards Mukuro and everyone is confused.

She just points at her and tells her that she's the one who will marry her and that she trusts no one else to be by her side at the throne. After all, Mukuro is technically a princess too and that doesn't go against the rules. And so they get married and live happily ever after.

(Except for everyone else who are left in their despair)
