“ There, I like you slightly better when you are being civilized. ”
Ricci didn't mind that he recognized her, in fact, it was better. She wasn't playing around and now he knew that she had experience dealing with the likes of him. She took a few steps towards him, slowly, making sure that she kept her hands right where he could see them, wouldn't want to startle him all of a sudden.
“ Not exactly, I'm on my own. I do know him rather well. Are you gonna tell me who you are? An alias or something, honey? ”
He watched as the woman put away her weapons, seeing that perhaps she was not as crazy as he originally thought. Although, in this city, crazy became quite often recognized as ‘normal.’ Regardless, she couldn’t tell it, but his eyes kept a lock on her from inside his outfit.
"Nightwing huh? I’ve heard of you. You’re with the Bat aren’t you?"
Shifting his body, he put more weight on one side, crossing his arms as he spoke with her.

"Aren't you an accommodating man, huh?" Ricci moved to his right, a smirk on her face. She was trying to avoid staring at him for too long. She was intrigued by him and she wanted to know more, but knew better than to come out and ask. Secret identities where there for a reason.
She allowed him to talk and give his speech, after all, she could tell that she'd gotten under his skin. She didn't feel bad about it, but he was completely overreacting. The solution was simple and standing right in front, he was just too blinded by his 'heroics' to see it. "It's not as if I killed him. Not a killer, unlike you, I have morals." No matter how pretty he wanted to put it, he had no right to take someone's life. It was wrong. Suddenly, she wasn't so intrigued anymore. "I never said that they didn't, not did I mean to anger you. Although I have a feeling that it is easily achieved." She smiled, but it didn't touch her eyes. She walked towards the unconscious man and pulled him into a sitting positions. "There. He will wake up soon enough and you can do things your way, okay? Tie him up and beat the crap out him... You will not kill him in my presence however."
As much as she would have wanted to leave, she was going to stay just to make sure of that. Vigilante or not, Green Arrow had just admitted to taking lives. "I don't take orders from you, sorry. Just because you 'adopted' this city doesn't make it yours." She did not appreciate his tone and made it perfectly clear. "Don't worry, once you are done with him I will be on my way. This city isn't as appealing as it seems to you people." So far every person she met was a jerk. She was done and wanted out. There's no place like home.
"Well now it’s Green Arrow, but you can call me either one if you prefer." He chuckled, it was interesting, one look in her eyes and he knew something about her, he just couldn’t put a finger on it.
"The way that I do things is I make the do restitution, this man is a major arms dealer, that means he has money, that means he can pay the people he hurt. After that he would be under my gaze.” The Green Arrow shook his head, "I kill, but only when it’s absolutely necessary to save lives." He was a killer and he knew it, but he was no murderer. "My methods work, whether you believe it or not."
No, the police weren’t the problem, at least not all of them. The judges were the real problem, and he couldn’t do much if anything about that. "While you’re here working my streets we do things my way. I would give the same courtesy if I came to your territory, understood?"

tauntingmockingbird
Her body was free falling for a couple of seconds before she did a couple of flips to stabilize herself and land on her toes and on the ground. Nightwing didn't even miss a beat, she kept up with her pursuit of the male that had shot an older woman in cold blood just a couple of blocks back. "You're making this harder on yourself!" She raised her voice to make sure that he heard her. In fact, at this point she was toying with him. She was allowing him to think that he might escape when, in reality, he had no chance.
Ricci pulled a wing-ding and threw it towards him, aiming for the wall right about where the criminal was running. The purpose was to have him veer to the left, trapping him in a dead end street. "Good boy." A smirk appeared on her lips as she finally turned the corner to face him. "This was a very nice workout but I must beat you up now before I turn you over to the authorities, shall we?"
The man raised his gun and pulled the trigger. The masked woman had already anticipated it and with a graceful cartwheel she moved to the right. "I hate guns." She muttered before grabbing her escrima stick in mid air and throwing it at him, aiming for his hand in order to disarm him. She was already running towards him, the other escrima stick in her hand, she hit him square in the head and kicked him towards the wall. The combo was enough to knock him unconscious. Once she was done, she turned to address the figure hiding in the shadows, it had been there for a while now. "Show is over, care to show your face?" She asked, bending over to pick her weapon before she hoisted it up.

Ricci had never been one to dress up for that particular holiday. Mostly because she had to patrol that particular day (like any other), but also because she wore a costume everyday to hide her identity. Still, people of all ages seemed to enjoy it, and there was candy involved, so it wasn't terrible. Except for the couple of times that Bruce got her confused with some kid dressed as Robin. She smiled at the memory.
"Damn, I'm sorry... I hope I didn't offend you or anything." She said as soon as the woman finished speaking. "It is a cool look, not everyone can pull it off." She was being genuine. There was a little bit of everything in Gotham, but whoever this chick was, she wan't from here. Probably some place with cool people. "Yeah, even adults go wild on Halloween, crazy, huh?"
Veronika had a weird sense about when she was being stared at. It had been developed over time since she was young. She figured that she would get more of these looks around Terra but it was still a bit annoying.
When the woman had approached her, she returned a slight grin before the question gave her pause. In the past, she had lied and said she was something along those lines but now.. there was no way she could maintain such a story.
Rubbing the back of her neck, she was a bit sheepish in her response.
“Ah well.. Thanks for the compliment but I usually look like this. Not a kickstart for Halloween..Although I have heard tales of creative outfits being made for the day.”

“ How am I supposed to know that you really were a scout? Nobody said that I live in Gotham. ”
Ricci said with an amused smile on her pink lips. She'd left Gotham a while back, but still considered it home.
"I won’t do it. I promise I won’t. Scout’s honor. Gotham is way too much gas money for me to try to spend to stalk someone.” Peter laughed, hoping she’d see that he was joking back with her a bit.

The dark haired woman thought it was a nice name and not very common, plus it seemed to fit the girl rather well. There was something mysterious about her and Ricci had just met her. "Pretty name. Nice to meet you, Raven." She said in her usual friendly and upbeat tone of voice. She liked to think that she could be optimistic, even if it hadn't always been that way. "Joanna? It's my middle name." Guess the papers had covered that at some point. Every year there was a little something in the papers to commemorate the tragic death of her parents years ago, probably Alfred's idea.
The next words that came out of the other's mouth, earned a frown since she had no idea what the girl could possibly mean. "I have no idea what you mean... Nice chatting with you." She suddenly decided that maybe it wasn't a good idea to stick around, who knew what kind of stuff Raven was into nor did it really matter.
"Raven." A simple name, a single word, no last name at all. The demoness watched her move, a grace that was seeded deep inside. There was something more, she could sense it. "You have another name." That was easy enough to tell, the way she had said the first line, the way her emotions changed at her name, she didn’t consider it to be her real name.
Violet orbs closed for a second, opening again only to scan the woman. Her gray skin blending easily with the shadows. "That facade isn’t real, so why put on an act?"

“Never said you were. After all, people dressed like that usually try to stop trouble from happening.”
That much was true enough. Perhaps Bruce had recruited someone new while she'd been working in Chicago? Seemed likely, then again she'd probably hear something from Babs or Tim. For now, she was willing to talk things out, unless he stirred up any trouble. Ricci's eye- brows lifted up in surprise as she listened to his words. Will be Batman. What the hell was that supposed to mean? Did he plan on killing Bruce?
Woah, slow down, there Batman... Care to explain yourself before I decide that you're a lunatic that needs to be stopped. If you mean Batman or any of his pupils any harm, I swear that I will end you right here.”
"Hey. I ain’t exactly looking for trouble here."
He had a feeling this was going to happen. All that time keeping his head down low during this timeline to avoid this crap and bam. Here it is. He couldn’t explain it, too damn far fetched. Best thing to do now was just play it safe and see if they could resolve this calmly. As many tapes as he saw of Nightwing in her prime, he wasn’t sure if he could take her in a fight. Maybe he could even surprise himself.
"You wouldn’t believe me if I told you, but I’m a friend. Alright? Ain’t a poser, I’m not lying. I am—” He corrected himself then. "Er… Will be Batman…”

“ That's what they all say and the next thing you know they're outside your home. ”
She was joking. Besides, she knew how to handle herself in any situation.
Peter laughed and then he snapped a few pictures. "I swear to you that it’s for my job. I’m not that kind of guy. I work for the Daily Bugle.”

She returned his smirk, it didn't matter how he looked at it or not, it was still saying something nice about her. After all, calling someone a 'goddess' was hardly going to be taken lightly. "Whichever term you'd prefer is fine with me, I was just saying 'thanks' in a unique way." Ricci pushed away a strand of her dark hair that had fallen out of place before she replied. "I know a Hood myself, so I will stick with Green or Arrow, take your pick." She was referring to Jason Todd, of course, but quickly pushed him out of her thoughts.
She gave a brief shrug, being used to how things ran in Gotham and Chicago, where they had established a great relationship with the police. Basically, they delivered the criminals and the police dealt with them. Of course, people like the Commissioner, Babs' father made things easier for the masked heroes. "You need to relax. What were you going to do? Set them really free?" She raised an eyebrow and turned towards him. "That kinda defeats the purpose of hunting them down." Besides, criminal like them didn't change and she wouldn't allow them back on the streets.
"Ah, the problem lies in your justice system. Then maybe you should start by making allies and cleaning the police officers, how else do you expect to get things done around here?" She asked with her hands on her hips, before she walked over to removed his arrow from the wall, letting the man fall to the ground. "What were you planning to do? Beat them to death? That doesn't work either, friend." She offered the arrow to him with a faint smile.
He smirked slightly, "What compliment, you come flipping in acting like just that, a warrior goddess, it was more of an observation." To him it wasn’t really flattery, if anything it was a tease. "Nightwing, now that is a nice nickname, and to think I got stuck with The Hood for almost six months.”
Shaking his head he watched her move, "I suppose we shall, who am I to argue with a newcomer?" Another joke, slight but real. He kept his sights on the man down below. "He is going to pay, of that you can be sure." However what happened next wasn’t really expected.
"Wait!" He couldn’t stop her though, she was already swinging. The guy’s jaw cracking quite easily under her strike, he sighed and shot two arrows rapidly, each one tipped with a steel ball on the end and knocking the other two completely out. "That isn’t how we do things here, next time you let me handle it." He always made sure they paid, but jail wasn’t his method.
"Jail doesn’t work on people like him, people who just throw money at the problem and either get out, escape, or bribe something for leniency."

“ Using the boss as an excuse to get a picture of me... You know, all you had to do was ask. Please and thank you go a long way. ”
"My boss really only loves pictures of two things. Spider-Man and rich people that he can convince to donate money to his charities.”

Her blue orbs were glued to the Arrow, not even bothering on being a little discreet about it. Ricci couldn't shake the fact that there was something vaguely familiar about him, but she quickly dismissed it as the hype that followed the masked man in this city. "What is it with you men and your flattery? It's hardly original." She asked, but there was an amused smirk on her face. "Nightwing. I'm here on temporary business."
She took a few steps forward and peered down at the guy that his companion had pinned to the wall. He was struggling to break free. "Like I said, I don't hang around this parts. Mostly Chicago now, if you must know." She answered and then looked back at him. "Shall we?" She asked, letting him now that she was going to partake in whatever happened next. Still, she didn't wait for a reply, instead she walked towards the ledge of the building and with a flip, she jumped. Grabbing the ledge of a fire escape to break her fall, she made it to the ground, landing on a top of an abandoned car.
"Let him escape? No, no..." She walked towards the guy and looked directly at him. "He is not going anywhere but jail, and I doubt he is willing to talk, so..." She lifted her closed fist and punched him square in the jaw. "Your tactics are... strange. Should I call the police or are you gonna have them pick him up, Green?"
He didn’t move his eyes from the guy he had pinned to the wall, his arrow pointed right at his chest. A clear warning and threat, he wasn’t known for killing without reason but he was known for killing. Already Arrow knew who the guy was, a mob boss, a relatively rich one. "Who are you anyways? I would remember a……" He glanced at her for a split second before going back to the guy. "Warrior goddess like you in my city."
That suit of hers hid nothing really, she was extremely beautiful, anyone could see that. She was also rather strong, anyone could see that. "How would I know there was someone to share crime with if you didn’t exist before a few moments ago hmmm?”
Walking forward the Arrow looked at the man, "You really have no intention of stopping do you? If I let you escape you’ll simply go find more guns and sell them won’t you?"

“No kidding, I mean, the bat on your chest didn't give you away or anything.”
Her voice was full of sarcasm. The voice was male, she knew that right away. Still, if anybody knew all the bats around, it was her. Posers were appearing out of nowhere. Ricci couldn't wait to tell Babs about this, they might get a kick out of it. Bruce, on the other hand wouldn't be so happy about it; the guy didn't even make an effort to pick a more original name.
“Newsflash friend, there is already a Batman in these parts and I happen to know him.”
He was caught. After stalking this rogue gang for about six blocks now, he just managed to get caught, by another costumed hero no less. A heavy sigh escaped his lips, noticing it was far too late for his cloaking device or even just disappearing. The blue bird on the womans chest gave him a bit of a sign on who she was. "I’m not… Exactly from here. Sort of. Long, long story. But, I’m Batman.” He muttered with the most serious of expressions. Though he had a feeling a burst of laughter was coming next.

“Are you serious? I mean, what makes you even think that I would tell you my name? ”
She didn't like the fact that he seemed to think her an idiot. Besides, the whole purpose of the masks was to keep identities a secret. Nightwing could be civilized, as soon as put his weapons away, she did the same, putting the sticks back in her place. He wasn't going to leave with that package in his hands, that much she could guarantee him and she didn't mind playing dirty. After all, she was attractive and could be persuasive.
“You can call me Nightwing. I'm like the sheriff around this parts, Creepy Masked-Guy.”
He felt the jolt of her movements as the woman nimbly backflipped away from him. His knife was still firmly gripped in his hand, bringing it down to his side. His eyes were still glued to her through his mask.
Once she spoke, he slowly turned his body, but not his head, and went over to where she kicked his gun. Picking it up, he examined it for a minute to ensure it was still in working condition before holstering it in the shoulder sling he had on his tactical vest.
"I’m not ‘dropping’ anything, lady. However, I don’t mind a good conversation."
Teasing her a bit, he took the knife from his other hand and re-sheathed it, bringing his eyes back up to her own.
"How about we start with your name, hmm?"
