I’m saying goodbye to the toxic productivity and hustle “community” I was born in a family of workaholics, and that’s something I’ve been carrying with me too all through my life, but being in the art field thay can be the most insanely toxic and unhelpful thing, cause if you never stop or take breaks or sleep or go for a walk just to relax, maybe take inspiration but just pause yourself; you’re not gonna do anything you feel proud of or enjoy.

So yeah, this absolutely ends with me, I do not want to pass this on to my kids or have this workaholic judgment at friends or partners. Yes ofc I will continue to be dedicated to what I do and selling art and cinema and all, but at my pace and with the breaks I deserve and naps.

Naps aren’t for losers, they are for healthy functioning people, so is watching your favorite movie as many times as you like, walking your dog/cat/ferret/horse so on, so is going out with friends and having zoom calls with your loved ones. Everything that brings you joy.

Everytime I talk about ✨toxic productivity ✨ people always try to defend themselves and they tell me that it's just in their nature to be super productive... Like buddy..... You're having a mental breakdown literally every single day. Reconsider.

Here’s a reminder that “working harder” isn’t always the solution. If you “work harder” by working longer hours to compensate for mistakes you’ve been making, you may just end up tiring yourself out even more and make even more mistakes.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is rest.
