Nicolette stifled a laugh behind her hand. "I know you'd never have the heart to turn her down, and you're right - she looks amazing in her gown. Not to mention her very dashing Duke of Hastings," she gestured to her uncle with a grin. "It's hard to believe. For so long Hope was like...this mythical thing that we chased after. And I'm so glad it's all worked out like it has, for her and for Uncle Klaus and Hayley. But at the same time it's always going to bug me that we never found out what happened. That she'll never be able to tell us, you know? Unsolved mysteries are the worst kind. But for now, we party. Think I can convince you to dance?"
"To be completely honest with you," Maveric offers, voice lowered to a whisper between them as his brows rose, amusement written across his features. "I don't even know who Simon Bassett, Duke of Hastings, is. Rebekah wanted to do matching costumes and who the hell am I to tell her no and deny her happiness. Especially when she looks as exquisite as she does in her Daphne Bridgerton gown." His words fade away as he laughs and gives a shake of his head, voice returning to a normal octave as he begins to nod. "I'm happy to that, though," he grins. "We all deserve at least one night of peace and happiness considering everything that's happened in the last couple of months. Even more so for our first party as an almost nearly completed family. We've got Hope back and she's got her parents, nothing is more worth celebrating than that alone."

"No idea what you mean, B, I've always been this hot," Nicolette laughed a little at her own failure to reproduce a proper Boston accent. Although if any of them looked hot in that moment it was absolutely her girlfriend, who was stunning in her costume. Stunning in anything, true, but having her dressed up as Buffy fulfilled at least one of Nicolette's fantasies. "And your taste in guys was always terrible - remember Scott? Ugh."
The crossbow looked incredibly sexy in her hands, and Nicolette nodded. "Looks like we did. And nobody better be patting you down except me, I'd like to find those daggers for myself later," she winked. "I think they'll just assume they're props. I mean, the compound's already full of weapons so it doesn't matter much either way."
Laughter was almost immediate to leave her lips as the brunette appeared before her, shaking her head as her amusement displayed gracefully across her features. "Well damn Faith," Damian countered playfully. "If I had known you'd look this damn hot I'd have ditched guys a long time ago."
Genuine laughter erupted from her lips as the stake was pulled out, moving from the doorway for a brief moment before returning with a crossbow now in her grasps. "Looks like we both came prepared," the blonde retorts. "And if anyone asks I definitely don't have double daggers harnessed on my thighs beneath this dress. You think they'll pat us down for weapons before we enter or just assume that they're costume props?"

Her uncle's laugh made her laugh in return, and she gestured to him. "You look pretty great yourself, not that I'd expect any less from Rebekah Mikaelson's husband. Honestly, I wouldn't have missed this party for the world. The chance to feel normal for a few hours for like...the first time since we came back from the future? It's not like we had a lot of parties before we came back, either, so this is special."
A hum passes his lips as he tilts his head slightly, dark irises narrowing ever so slightly before his frame relaxes and a grin cracks at his lips, head shaking in her direction. "I'm just messin' with ya, Nikki," Maveric chuckles. "You do look great, sweetheart. Your Aunt Bex will just be happy to see that you came tonight."

Nicolette laughed. "If you'd like to see it in living color I could always find Aunt Bex and let her know where they are. It wouldn't be more than a few seconds before she was here throwing them out on their butts. Or we can take bets about how long it'll be, either could be fun."
"Precisely my thoughts," Osman chuckles, gaze remaining on the frat boys as they passed by. "They're in for a rude awakening when she does finally see them. Boy, to be a fly on the wall for that interaction."

"Okay, first of all, Auntie Bex loves me way too much to get mad about my outfit. Second of all, this is a perfectly valid costume. Faith basically always wore a tank top, tight pants and a leather jacket, and that's what I've got." Nicolette pointed to her arm. "Only thing I didn't do was get the tattoo, because there's limits to how far I'll go to commit to a costume." She shrugged. "I think I look pretty great."

"You don't plan on going in there looking like that do you," Maveric questions, tone flat as he downs his glass of whiskey and sets it aside on the nearby table at the entrance of the compound. "Better not let Rebekah see you looking like that. There's many things I can talk her down from but a fashion crisis-" A low whistle is given as he chuckles lowly and shakes his head. "That not even I will get in the middle of," he adds. "She's hellbent on this event being nothing less than perfect not that I can blame her with all the work she's put into it."

Nicolette had done some crafts, some dancing, some games - it was time for a drink, and getting out of the crush for a moment. She didn't realize that she'd posted up next to someone until she heard the voice from beside her, and she turned with a half-smile. "Just taking a break for a few minutes, and this looked like a good spot." Her eyebrow shot up. "There's no way Rebekah's seen them yet, or they'd have been thrown out the back door - that's not classy or creative enough to qualify for a Mikaelson party."

Digits plucked a ball of dust from his shoulder, frame squared as stood elegantly in the shadows of the compound nursing a glass of scotch. People watching was far more entertaining than half the carnival children games that scattered the area, the rides merely attractions for the mortals that were unaware of the realities of the supernatural community. He'd openly admit that the scene was lovely, undoubtedly thanks to the very talented party planned that was Rebekah Mikaelson. His attention didn't stray from the growing crowd even as a shadow casted near him, a hint of a grin tugging at the corner of his lips. "Come to join in on the people watching, hm," Osman questions. "It's quite entertaining. Pretty sure I saw a group of guys dressed in various liquor costumes. Undoubtedly they think themselves the lives of every party."

A couples costume? Was she really that cheesy? As Damian opened the door, Nicolette had to admit it - for that girl, she was absolutely that cheesy. That head over heels. That willing to do silly things for a party. "'bout time you got out here, B," she'd put on her best Boston accent for the role, which likely wasn't great - but it was the effort that counted.
Damned if she knew how to make a pair of leather pants and a tank top comfortable, but at least being Faith meant she got a jacket to wear overtop of the outfit. Reaching into her pocket, she pulled out a replica stake and showed it off to Damian. "Just in case."

"Of course we are - ice cream always comes first. Especially when it's ice cream that I'm sharing with my gorgeous girlfriend."
A brow cocks quickly at her girlfriend’s words, smirk pulling at her lips. “Sushi it is but we’re gonna have that ice cream first, right,” Damian questions.

"This is going to give me such a migraine, I can sense it coming already," Nicolette sighed. "From the stories Mom's told us about her past self, I don't think she's going to be all that happy to meet her kids."
“Yeah, vampire Katherine with the bitchier attitude,” Beckham confirms. “It’ll be entertaining to tell her at least.”

"Beeck-ham!" She called back, grinning. "Wait, seriously? We didn't even get actual mom, we got vampire probably on a killing spree mom? That's gonna make this awkward as hell."

"Mmm...sushi. Definitely sushi. And several orders of yam tempura, because I'm in the mood for something crunchy." She was already prepared to settle in for the night, comfortably resting in her girlfriend's arms as they watched a movie that she'd inevitably fall asleep before the end of. "Tonight, I feed you ice cream like something out of a romantic movie."

"Okay, pizza, chinese, or sushi? I've already grabbed up some of our favorite movies and to tubs of ice cream."

"Do you think this is funny?" (Aurelio)
@aureliovittori
"Bro," Nicolette giggled. "I'm pretty sure that vamp just verbally bitchslapped you instead of fighting, how could it not be funny?" She nudged his shoulder with her own. "It's alright, we all take an L some days. Granted, most of us don't do it quite so publicly, but still. You'll get 'em next time, champ."

you're my port in the storm. (eve)
@vilisisms
Nicolette's eyes went glassy at the unexpected words, and she reached out to pull Eve into a hug. "I don't know if I'm qualified for the job, but I'll do my best. We gotta figure out a word for "not actually technically related but still sisters," because I need something to call you."

❛ i would burn the world for you. ❜ (Damian)
@traegics
"Burn the world, huh?" Nicolette leaned in and kissed her. "Honestly, as long as you buy me food once in a while and tell me I'm pretty, that's about all I ask. But if we do decide to set things on fire, we can make that a date night activity."

"You're not telling me the truth." (eve)
@vilisisms
"I mean, I was telling you the truth in a way. All I said was I had plans last night, and I did. I just didn't mention that those plans were sneaking out of the house to meet my girlfriend," Nicolette chuckled. "As much as it sucks not having seen dad yet, it's easier to sneak out of the house when Elijah Mikaelson isn't listening for your every move. Bad enough I almost ran into Uncle Kneeklaus on the way."

Nicolette grinned widely as the door opened, revealing the grinning blonde face of her girlfriend behind it. "Did I miss you? Let's see, has it been longer than thirty seconds since I last saw your face? Then yes, I missed you more than my heart could bear. The pain was almost too much for me to take. I'm pretty sure the only way it could possibly be healed is if those lips were pressed against mine, so I could remember the taste of your kisses before I waste away."
The chaos that has ensued throughout the cities had sent her mind racing, fighting her way to her family, worried out of her mind about her girlfriend. There was nothing she was looking more forward to than spending time with Nicolette, alone with some peace and quiet. The knocking at her door garnered her attention, glancing over her shoulder before pushing herself up from her vanity as the witch’s voice rang in the air and she can’t help but to chuckle as she pulls the door open. “A needy, hot girlfriend,” Damian counters, gaze landing on her girlfriend. “Miss me, baby?”

closed for @traegics (damian)
With Triad's incursion repelled, the cities and the people both bore the scars that were left behind. There would be a lingering atmosphere of fear and paranoia in the air for some time to come, and in that way maybe Triad had won after all. With that dour thought in mind, Nicolette had sought out Damian in the hopes of taking her out and distracting them both for a little while. They both needed it, she was pretty sure, and some of the city's most popular tourist spots were now nearly deserted and probably would be for a little while longer.
Knocking, she bounced from foot to foot and waited for answer. She was so excited to have some uninterrupted time with her girlfriend, and to see her smiling face once more. "Come on, open up!" she shouted playfully. "You've got a needy girlfriend out here!"
