Producing an Income vs Expenditure budget plan

Use the table below to plan a budget for a live music show at the ‘Black Market’ in Mansfield. List all the ways you can produce income from the show, for example; ticket sales, T shirts & CDs.

Challenge: Can you make a profit from your show?

Income

Wristbands:If we sell them at £3 we are making a huge profit of £190

T-shirts: If we sell them at £10 and sell them all we are making another profit of £50.25

CD’s: If we sell them for £10 and if we sell them all we will make a huge profit of £180

Tickets: The tickets if we selll them at £3 we will make a huge profit of £210.67 

Posters: The price for 10 A3 posters is £3.00, for thr posters we not make a profit becasue we aren’t selling them, its all about promotion needs.

Expenditure

Wristbands: 80 for £50. that is with our own design and adjustable straps to suit everyone’s wrist size. I think having your own design is important because it shows the audience what are interests are.

T-shirts: The price for 25 t-shirts is £ 199.75. These 25 t-shirts include 5 different sizes because not everyone is the same size. i’m only going to order 25 because its not very likely that everyone will buy one.

CD’s: For our CD’’s we will be doing a recording of all the songs that we are recording then burning them on to a CD’s. Therefore we will need to buy the cases and cd’s to burn them on also we will need to be able to print the cover on the front and back. The price for 20 empty cd cases is £8.99 and the price for 20 cd’s is £4.00, also because we are making them, we need printing paper to print the front cover. The price for a pack of glossy printing paper is £7.00. I’m only going to make 20 because as the same reason as the t-shirts.

Tickets: The venue holds 80 people so therefore I will only need to order 80 tickets. The price for 80 tickets is £29.33 therefore i not need to make anymore because the venue not hold them.

Posters: For the poster we need 10 of them printed on A3. I think printing them on A3 will catch people eye alot more, this is because they will be big and bright.
