An Intro To Vape Flavourings
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/80a9401860b84ae9a531b5a2c524fd2a/0af5dbb1d4e40a43-44/s540x810/64445494ff84a1fa678e96af60cba3fe7ed7c061.jpg)
One of the best things about vaping is the seemingly endless choice of vape juice flavours from delicious sweet flavourings like salted caramel, candyfloss and butterscotch, to savoury ones like roast chicken dinner, butter and even tuna (I know, gross). Even though some of those flavours might horrify you, it is still difficult to choose your first flavour and find the best vape juice brands UK wide. It may take you a few bottles to find your style, and the flavour that suits you best, so here are a few tips to help you maximise your flavour game.
Wattage And Temperature Settings
This is something that people often forget, setting their kit to vaporise at one temperature and just going with it. This is a fundamental mistake. Due to the different ingredients in varying flavours, they often have different points at which they vaporise. The best thing you can try is starting off at a lower power setting and slowly increasing until you find the ‘sweet spot’ for the flavour you are using- and remember it will be different for many flavours. You will notice the intensity of the flavour change as you fiddle with settings but don’t go too far, you can end up with a horrible bitter taste! Adjusting the settings of your device is one of the simplest ways to enhance flavour.
Reducing Your Airflow
If you are a cloud chaser, looking to blow fluffy, billowing clouds that block out the sun, then opening up the airflow on your device will boost your cloud size massively. It will however have a negative impact on the flavour of your juice. Reducing your device’s airflow will give you warmer, more dense clouds that hold way more flavour. Be careful though, not giving your device enough airflow can result in hot and harsh clouds that don’t have much flavour anyway; so the same advice as before applies. Work your way down to a good airflow rate.
PG/ VG Ratios Are Important
It’s important to find the ratio that works best for you as they can significantly change the vaping experience. Cloud chasers will prefer higher VG levels as it produces thicker clouds. However, if you're looking for flavour it’s a little more difficult. A 50:50 ratio will allow for great flavour with certain kits, although this will be a harsher drag with a bigger throat hit. The industry standard has become 70:30 and this works perfectly for most sub-ohm devices, allowing massive flavour and great control over the end result.
Keep Your Kit Clean
No one wants to hear this one, and at the risk of sounding overly like your mother, the cleanliness of your gear is crucial. Imagine eating tonight’s dinner on last night's plate, after letting said plate sit on the counter all night and all day, without cleaning it. Gross right? Well your kit can experience the same thing, residues left over from previous flavours can burn or add the wrong profile to your newer flavour. Keeping your wicks, coils and tanks as clean as possible is really important for getting that amazing flavour in return.
Hopefully this little rundown helps you learn a thing or two about maximising your kits’ flavour output, as you hunt for your favourite e liquid UK wide.

Cutting Out Nicotine With Vaping
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/df85542c52ac95b38e9e8b364023ed6c/5372257e49f3d148-a4/s540x810/d86cbdfc9a68442c25b993907991d19f634db024.jpg)
Nicotine is a chemical found in many different plants but most prominently in the tobacco plant. It is for this reason that tobacco, over the centuries, has become such a huge market for retailers and led to so many addicts. In reality, tobacco is a product that is only a vehicle for the true addiction to nicotine. Nicotine addiction can differ from person to person in regards to the strength and the amount of time it takes for a person to develop.
Vape products such as Nicohit e-liquid have paved the way for smoking cessation, a process that is designed to help people quit smoking by using less damaging nicotine replacements such as patches or indeed, e-liquids. This market has grown over the years and has seen many flexible concentrations and flavours used on vape devices.
But isn’t this just swapping one mode of nicotine addiction for another? This blog will outline how you can use vape products such as Nicohit Salts to curb and then cut out nicotine entirely from your daily routine.
Vaping And Nicotine Replacement Therapy
One debunked myth surrounding smoking cessation is that going cold turkey is a good solution. In fact, cold turkey is the most likely route to a smoking relapse. It might take many goes to finally give up tobacco - and nicotine - for good, and quitting altogether in one fell swoop is likely to lead to a relapse without the right support, in part because of the withdrawal symptoms.
The best option then, is smoking cessation tools, which can be used to curb your nicotine habits. Vaping is a form of nicotine replacement therapy, a solution to quitting smoking that is far older than the vaping industry. Products such as nicotine patches and inhalants have been used to help people give up smoking for years now.
Nicotine Flexibility In Vape Products
Nicotine concentrations in e-liquid are especially flexible for a smoking cessation tool. In e-liquids such as Uncle Vape, you can get as little as 3 mg per ml bottle or even 0 mg, all the way up to 20 mg per ml. This means that users can use as much or as little nicotine as they like, compared to the rigid concentrations within a cigarette, or indeed the smaller pool of options in gums and patches.
Reducing Nicotine Over Time
The various concentrations of nicotine in e-liquids not only mean that there is a concentration to suit all addiction levels, but it gives users a chance to reduce their nicotine consumption over time. Of course, this will mean that you have to be strict with yourself and regiment a clear plan for reducing your concentrations, but it can be very beneficial for ex-smokers who are unwilling or unable to cut their nicotine intake dramatically in a short period. Nicotine addiction is related to specific habits hardwired into your daily routine. Cutting out nicotine gradually and still maintaining these routines, means that eventually, your intake could be reduced to 0 mg vape liquids.
Vaping Habits And Short-Fill E-Liquids
Once you reach lower nicotine levels you will have several options, one of which is to move on to nicotine free e-liquids. These are called short fill e-liquids, designed to bypass bottle size laws for nicotine containing vape juices. Whilst many come with the option of adding nicotine concentrated “shots'' to your order, you can also simply vape them free of the chemical. Once you’ve decreased your nicotine intake to short fills, it’s simply a case of cutting the now solely psychologically fuelled habit out of your daily routine or carrying on vaping nicotine free.

Vaping Safety Tips
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/6facc716341afba3f4a2039d8c2cbcab/336a95633f2d1a5a-dd/s540x810/1258d6ebab2b5d80516fb00c4a7f3ae8d6da49ed.jpg)
Vaping might be far less unhealthy than smoking, but it still comes with some risks. Though it doesn’t use combustible matter like tobacco or have even a fraction of the carcinogens that cigarettes do, there are still some risks. Whether you’re new to the industry or you’ve just bought a more powerful device, utilising your Nicohit e-liquid is easy and safe when you take precautions.
Health is a factor too, though vape devices are far safer than smoking, Nicohit salts e-liquid and other vape juices still contain nicotine, a known This blog will outline some of the top safety tips that many vapers might not know about. From the proper handling of electrical equipment to ways to make your vape device last longer, these tips should help you enjoy a richer and fuller vaping experience.
Handling Your Electrical Equipment
As mentioned above, vape devices rely on electrical charging. Whilst you won’t have to worry about naked flames causing fires, there is always a small chance of causing an electrical fire. The below tips focus on how to safely keep your device from overcharging or circuit shorting.
Know Your Battery
Is your vape device powered by an internal or an external battery? The answer to this question will determine a great deal about your vape device and how it operates and charges. An external battery will require recharging, so make sure that you only buy trusted rechargeable battery brands.
Use The Same Charger Your Device Came With
An internal battery, on the other hand, will require extra scrutiny as if it breaks, you won't be able to replace it without replacing the device it lives within. For this reason, it’s always wise to use the same charging kit that your device came with. Different cables for different products may look the same but might charge to higher or lower currents than your device.
Turn Your Vape Off In Your Pocket
There have been numerous reports over the years of vape devices overcharging and even exploding in the pockets of vapers. Fire buttons, when held down, can lead to the battery and atomiser of your vape device overcharging and severely damaging your vape device - and in some cases your leg!
E-Liquid Safety
E-Liquid can contain nicotine, a poisonous substance in high doses. Thankfully, there’s far less in e-liquid than in its natural tobacco state but nevertheless, there are warnings on the package for a reason.
Keep E-Liquid Away From Pets And Children
From Nicohit to Uncles Vape juices, all e-liquids come with child-proof bottle caps. Nicotine has been known to cause severe damage or even kill young children and animals who mistake the bottles for food and drink. Regardless of the child-proof caps, all e-liquids should be kept out of reach from children and animals.
Keep E-Liquid Away From Your Skin
This is especially vital with e-liquids of high nicotine concentrations. Prolonged contact with the skin can cause irritation, severely so if e-liquid gets into your eye. If you drip e-liquid onto your fingers whilst refilling, make sure to wash your hands before you touch your face or skin.
Stay Hydrated
Whilst it doesn't cause severe dehydration, vaping can use up a lot of moisture in your mouth. It’s for this reason that you should always keep a glass of water handy whilst vaping, especially during hot water.

What Are Short Fills And When Should I Use Them?
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8fc2e5d5230f3517e0432b314ae9f5c0/a0166405af8f1949-66/s540x810/4501494b3bd9e0a8c340e3eac7508ea75d6daa1d.jpg)
With the many technological innovations to have come out of the vaping industry, it’s unsurprising that smoking cessation has become ever more flexible. From variable wattage and voltage devices to the various ratios of vegetable glycerine and propylene glycol, smoking cessation products from e-liquid wholesale suppliers have evolved to become more flexible than ever.
One such product that has changed the way that we view vaping is the short fill vape liquid. With brands such as Uncles Vape Co Juice utilising these unique types of e-liquid, there are a few specificities to who and what they should be used for. This blog will outline how short fill vape liquids can be used and why they are so important for seasoned vapers.
What Is A Short Fill?
A short fill vape liquid is, simply put, a vape liquid mixture that does not contain any nicotine. These bottles are usually larger than 10 ml, as is the limit for pre-fill e-liquids and usually contain higher vegetable glycerine ratios than nicotine-concentrated e-liquids. Short fill bottles are usually taste oriented and come in plastic squeezy bottles that can be as large as 50 ml in size. Usually, short fill bottles have between 10 and 20 percent of their space left empty so that you can add your own nicotine concentrate to it if you are vaping with nicotine.
Why Were Short Fills Introduced?
Shorty fills were introduced after the Tobacco and Related Products Directive came into effect in 2016. The new rules surrounding nicotine products stated that bottles of nicotine-containing e-liquid could not exceed 10 ml in size. To bypass this restrictive rule, vape manufacturers created short fills, larger bottles that didn’t contain nicotine but had space for vapers to add their own. Short fills have now become commonplace, and you can find many short fill TPD e-liquids online for great value prices.
How To Use Short Fills
Short fill vape liquids can be used however you like, but are usually high in vegetable glycerine and lower in propylene glycol. This means that they are best suited to direct to lung vaping and low nicotine concentrations. Direct to lung vaping short fill liquids such as Yankee All-Stars requires you to inhale vapour straight into the lungs like you are sucking the air out of a balloon. This creates larger plumes of vapour, especially when using higher-powered devices.
What Devices Use Short Fills?
Due to their using less nicotine per 10 ml, short fill bottles are perfect for higher-powered devices that require you to inhale more vapour. Short fill liquids, unless mixed at home, do not usually accommodate for more than 3 to 6 mg per 10 ml, and are therefore mostly used by seasoned vapers. The devices you can use short fill e-liquids on either with or without nicotine added include variable current deices and mechanical mods, which allow you to change the electronic charge running through the device. Short fills are also commonly used on sub-ohm devices, those that have a coil that accommodates far lower resistances, therefore generating much more power and therefore even more vapour!
Short Fills And Nicotine Shots
Nicotine shots can be bought from most vape suppliers and are usually a high concentration of propylene glycol and nicotine. Two shots of nicotine concentrate in a 50 ml bottle will generally amount to about 3 or 6 mg per 10 ml. If you want to add more nicotine, then you will have to decant your e-liquid into a larger bottle that has space for more than two shots of nicotine.

How To Get The Best Out Of Your Vape Tricks
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/8b6d640d4e7596a0db9416e71026a928/b14fa8f57078d3ed-c4/s540x810/13e21b4388eb9c0c0deed7650289861a5bfa7bf0.jpg)
Thanks to the booming demand for vape products across the globe, the smoking cessation tool has grown unique character in and of itself. Alongside its medically proven benefits as a way to give up smoking, vaping and e-liquid wholesale distributors in the UK have amassed a wider culture that has grown out of its diversity and flexibility.
One symptom of this is the vape trick competition. Staged in dozens of countries across the world, these often lavish events rival that of skateboarding competitions in their aesthetic and culture. Vape competitions, however, focus on promoting the best vape liquid brands in the UK and internationally through “performers” who can create patterns, shapes and “moves” from the vapour they produce. Whilst many competitions may take place informally, the major league competitors often take up vape trick challenges for cash or promotional prizes that can help them create their own brands and even open up their own shops!
This blog will outline some tips and tricks for creating vapour clouds that are optimised for tricks.
Cloud Chasing
Cloud chasing is the progenitor of vape tricks. To do vape tricks such as rings and the “ghost inhale, you must first master cloud chasing. Cloud chasing is the name given to the creation of large plumes of vapour, to do which you must optimise your vape device, e-liquid and vaping style to succeed. Once you’ve mastered cloud chasing, you’ll then need to learn the tricks themselves - which might take quite a lot of trial and error to get right!
Utilise Direct To Lung Vaping
The first thing to know about cloud chasing is that it requires you to inhale a large amount of vapour. The best way to do this is to use devices that are optimised for direct to lung vaping. There are two different styles of vapour inhalation - mouth to lung - which you’ll find is suited to lower-powered devices like vape pens and pod mods, and direct to lung. Direct to lung can be likened to inhaling air from a balloon, the power of which bypasses the mouth and travels directly into the lungs. When utilising this breathing technique for vaping, the vapour travels into the lungs, filling them up before you exhale out a thick vape cloud.
Sub-Ohm Optimise Your Device
It’s not just breathing techniques that will help you on your vape trick journey. You’ll need to be using the right vape device too. Sub-ohm vaping essentially means that you’re using a device with a resistance below one ohm. Low resistance and high wattage or voltage mean that your device transfers heat from electricity faster and in a more stable fashion. Make sure that you use a variable mod that can work with sub-ohm atomisers and coils. Check the details on the box or online to make sure that your coil is sub-ohm optimised.
High VG E-Liquids
Whether you’re using a clearance vape juice UK or a new brand, make sure that its vegetable glycerine ratio is much higher than its propylene glycol. Vegetable glycerine is the organic compound in e-liquid that promotes thickness and viscosity. You’ll want more of it in your vape liquid to create larger clouds.
Keep Your Nicotine Levels Low And Your Vapour Temperature Cool
You’ll be inhaling a lot of vapour, so it’s best that you dial down your temperature settings to be as cool as possible. The large direct to lung vapour inhales will also be too overwhelming if you’re using nicotine e-liquids. It’s best to either for 3 mg per 10 ml if you use vaping as a smoking cessation tool or otherwise purchase short fill vape liquids that contain no nicotine at all.

Understanding Artificial And Natural Flavourings
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/491d38a7ddef07cdb60f621639392699/1a5c07c58f22a056-00/s540x810/a08a232dcdd472569cee77a87570e2977b188c2a.jpg)
Science is a wonderful thing; it’s given us electricity, space travel and less significantly, better-tasting e-liquids! E-liquid flavour concentrates may not be such a life-changing innovation as manned missions to Mars, but they’re certainly important in the health and smoking cessation world. For starters, what would e-liquid be without its diverse range of flavours, and without them how would ex-smokers abstain from smoking as effectively? From e-liquid wholesale suppliers to DIY vapers mixing their own vape juices, the flavour is one of the most important aspects of e-cig culture.
E-liquid flavours come in many shapes and sizes, and can taste like almost anything you want - such is the wonder of science. However, there are two main types of e-liquid, and we’re not talking pre and post TPD e-liquids online. The main difference between modern-day vape liquids is their use of artificial or organic flavourings. This blog will explore some of the nuances and differences between these two types of vape liquid, and will outline the pros and cons of each one.
What Are Organic Flavourings?
Natural flavourings are chemicals that have been extracted from the source. For instance, if you wanted to create a citrus flavoured e-liquid organically, you would use extracts or “essences” from oranges and other citrus fruits to create it. It’s as simple as that really… except for the complex scientific process of chemical extraction, but u can let the scientists worry about that.
Benefits
Of course, vaping using flavourings right from the source means that you are getting the real deal when it comes to taste. Flavourings that are organic will almost always taste how they are supposed to, which is why many people prefer them over artificial flavours.
Negatives
Organic flavourings can be more expensive to produce and due to their use of natural ingredients, may have a shorter shelf life. It’s for these reasons that organic flavourings may cost a little more than their artificial counterparts. That being said, you’ll be paying for pure quality.
What Are Artificial Flavourings?
To understand artificial flavourings one must first understand how taste works. The nerve endings that cover the exterior of the tongue pick up different flavour notes that send messages to the brain. Artificial flavourings utilise this messaging system in the body by using ingredients grown in the lab that mimics or are adjacent to the desired taste, say for instance Yankee All-Stars waffle flavour might use flavourings that mimic the toasty sweetness of a dessert waffle, rather than using the essence of a waffle itself.
Benefits
It’s important to note that lab-grown flavourings are absolutely identical to the real thing. This means that there is often no difference in the taste and means that vape liquid creators needn’t import food standard chemicals from overseas. It’s also worth noting that many artificial flavourings, such as those used in Uncles Vape Co Juice are often pharmaceutically approved rather than FDA approved. This is important as not all chemicals that are Food Standards Approved are completely safe for inhalation, when grown in a lab there is might be more focus on the chemical makeup of the flavouring.
Negatives
Some flavourings might be tricky to mimic in a lab. For instance, tobacco flavoured e-liquids rarely taste like the real thing because you must use “similar” flavour compounds rather than the real thing. Furthermore, in the past, some chemicals that are used in artificial flavourings have been proven to be harmful when inhaled. This, however, is no longer the case as many e-liquids have banned the use of flavouring chemicals such as diacetyl and have improved their health standards. Even so, it’s important that as new flavours come onto the market, that vapers only buy from respected retailers.

Vape Liquid Chemicals That You Should Steer Clear Of
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/adb00aab567833ae9ea2843b81157cd9/c733b49afde482d4-9d/s540x810/55d57ed716748b23b1a023c80a387d21fc90d344.jpg)
It’s safe to say that vaping is far less dangerous to the human body than smoking is. Using heat not burn technology means that e-liquids such as Yankee All-Stars do not combust and therefore release no chemicals related to smoke. Cigarettes harbour over 400 different toxins and over 40 carcinogens, meaning that every time you smoke you run the risk of damaging your heart, lungs and throat.
Whilst vaping is far less dangerous for you than smoking is, the way that it is made and relative grey areas when it comes to flavourings and preservatives has meant that in the past some e-liquids have contained less than palatable chemicals. However, these chemicals have been few and far between. It’s important to remember that even synthetically developed flavourings are far less dangerous than tobacco. There are, however, a few chemicals that have historically raised concern in the past, and whilst the best wholesale e-liquid suppliers have shed these chemicals from their manufacturing process, they can still crop up every now and again.
Why The Worry?
Whilst many vape products flavourings and chemicals in the UK have been approved as “safe for food”, e-liquids are not exactly foodstuffs. Vape liquids are inhaled, and some of the many chemicals found when vape liquids are heated into vapours include dangerous carcinogens such as formaldehyde. A 2018 study in the journal of Toxics has found that breath tests of vapers contain ten and a half times more aldehydes than before vaping. It was also found that during this pilot study of 12 participants, their breath contained fewer aldehydes than the e-liquid itself, which means that much of it might have stayed in the body and respiratory system.
What this means is that whilst vaping is far safer than smoking, there are chemicals that could be noxious in e-liquids. Companies like Uncles Vape Co Juice use only the highest quality flavourings but the lack of information on what is in each e-liquid flavouring could be a cause for concern in the future.
Whilst there are many unknowns when it comes to vape, the best thing you can do to keep safe whilst using e-liquid is to avoid flavours that are associated with harmful chemicals. Many e-liquid bottles will not outline the flavours they use, so this list of chemicals and their associated flavours should help the health-conscious vaper choose their next TPD e-liquid online purchase.
Diacetyl
Diacetyl is the chemical that was linked to the “popcorn lung” outbreak of the early 2010s in which a number of factory workers handling the chemical diacetyl fell ill with a lung disease called bronchiolitis. Diacetyl is used as a flavouring component of buttery and creamy flavours in foodstuffs; it was also used in e-liquids to produce a similar flavour, but since the reports of its links with this destructive lung disease, it has been phased out.
Other Chemicals
Other chemicals to look out for include cinnamaldehyde and vanillin, which are used in cinnamon and vanilla flavour e-liquids respectively. Other e-liquid flavours that contain potentially dangerous e-liquid flavours are banana, which contains isoamyl acetate and strawberry flavourings which contain a dangerous chemical called dimethyl pyrazine.

Understanding TPD Laws Five Years On
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/18edc8cbbff8693f3ee2a8fb50494d72/f9fae867fa0f821d-e4/s540x810/aa240a7223ae2463c66c1408ff92256ceddf3037.jpg)
Vaping has seen some dramatic changes during its relatively young lifespan and many changes to the stocks of e-liquid wholesale distributors in the UK. From the invention of the cigalike to the nicotine salt revolution, there have been a lot of aspects of vaping that have changed over the years.
One dramatic moment in the vaping timeline was the introduction to the UK of the TPD Laws. Back in 2016, the rules around vaping changed dramatically leading to many vape shops having to get rid of their wares at low prices before the laws set in. Many of their clearance vape juices in the UK are now extinct and nowadays you can see a real difference in what’s available to vapers in the country. This blog will explore some of the main changes that the TPD Laws brought in, and how they have affected the vaping industry.
What Is The Tobacco And Related Products Directive?
The tobacco and related products directive was instigated in 2016 as a way to further tighten the rules surrounding tobacco and other products that contain nicotine. Their regulations focus on age restrictions, advertising and e-liquid capacities.
Why Were They Introduced?
The TPD laws were introduced in 2016 as a way to control the sale and production of nicotine products in the UK. this was especially important because of the surging popularity of vaping and the worry that underage teenagers might try to buy the products without further precautions from a shop and online retailers.
2 ml Tank Capacity
Under the TPD laws, vape tanks can not exceed 2 ml, meaning that many products had to be redesigned so as to ensure the size was within legal limits.
Prefill Nicotine Maximum Of 10 ml
The maximum size of a bottle of nicotine-infused e-liquid is 10 ml. This stops larger bottles of nicotine potentially being sold to underage people and helps regulate units and prices in the UK.
Nicotine Concentration Cap At 20 mg
As you can probably see, the restrictions on nicotine are incredibly tight, and for good reason too when you know just how addictive this chemical can be. No one wants people getting addicted to nicotine through vaping and then moving back to smoking. This is why caps on nicotine concentrations are so stringent, allowing no more than 20 mg per 10 ml bottle.
Loopholes In The Law
This clampdown on the types of bottles, devices and e-liquids that can be sold lead to some creative concoctions from some of the best e-liquid brands in the UK. many companies worried about the increased carbon footprint from pre-fill bottles being restricted to 10 ml, and so began selling short fills in larger bottles that were less wasteful in their resources and which contained no nicotine. This was further added upon with the introduction of nicotine shots, which you could add to the short fills. Short fills usually reserve about 10 ml of extra space in their 50 ml bottles, meaning that you have plenty of room to add your own nicotine shots.
DIY vaping and mixing your own e-liquids also gives you the opportunity to exceed the pre-fill bottle limits on nicotine. You can buy great value ingredients such as propylene glycol, flavourings and nicotine from vendors all across the internet, and can use vape calculators to measure your homebrews by weight or volume.

Vape Terms That Might Confuse You

Vaping has evolved a lot since its early days as a simple cigalike. With its culture rapidly expanding over the last decade, you’ll find vapers using ever more complex devices, flavours and terminology.
Vaping is simple at its heart, and all of its quirks and evolutionary jumps are really only add-ons for the basic function of helping people give up smoking. That being said, walking into a vape shop or browsing on an online store of an e-liquid manufacturer can be a little bit daunting when trying to decipher the ingredients and functions of their products. This blog aims to clear up some of the more confusing terminologies that one might encounter in the vape world.
Wattage And Voltage
Mostly used in reference to vape mods with variable power capabilities, wattage and voltage are two measurements used in calculating electrical circuits. Variable current devices are either designed so that users can modify the voltage or wattage that the battery produces. Variable wattage means you can change the amount of power being produced by the device, and variable voltage e-cigs provide the ability to change the power being fed into the device by the battery. Both work in tandem and are bridged by the resistance of your device’s coil.
Variable Current And Temperature Control
We’ve talked about variable current devices, but it’s important to differentiate between these and temperature control devices. Temperature control means that the wattage and voltage of your device will be changed so as to reach the vapour temperature you’ve picked. Temperature is an important factor in e-liquid tastes; whether a Berry Blast flavour or a glazed cinnamon doughnut taste, the temperature at which you vape can enrich and liven the flavour. Temperature control also sheds the focus on voltage and wattage and puts more emphasis on the aspects of vape circuits that really matter.
E-Liquid Or E-Juice
Most e-liquid manufacturers in the UK will advertise their vape liquids as either e-liquid or e-juice. Whilst this might imply a difference, there actually isn’t one. All the term implies is the tone that the brand wants to pitch for itself.
Atomisers, Clearomisers and Cartomisers
These three terms are all referring to the same vaping component, just different models of it. The atomiser as it is traditionally called comprises the wicking cotton and the metal node that heats up the e-liquid. Clearomisers are so-called as they use a clear plastic sheet so you can see how much e-liquid is currently in your device. A cartomiser is simply an atomiser built in a longer case.
Nic Salt and Freebase
Salt and freebase e-liquids are two different varieties of nicotine blends. Freebase is the traditional nicotine-infused e-liquid, providing a kick, not unlike that of smoking a cigarette. Nicotine salt smooths out the vape hit and makes higher concentrations of nicotine more palatable to inhale.
Short Fills
Short fills are vape liquids that have no nicotine in them. These are usually stored in a larger bottle, and with around 10 or 20 percent left empty for users to add their own nicotine shots. Many wholesale vaping suppliers in the UK use short fill bottles as it saves space on storage and packaging, whilst also catering to the nicotine-free vaping community.
E-Cig And Vape Device
E-cigs and vape devices are two names for the same thing. There is no difference between either, and they can be used to refer to any and all types of vaporiser.

First things first: listen up, smokers-turned-vapers!
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/5bd10fa6057067d6c61fd85988dd5d98/afe1d7d7eea92742-07/s540x810/703dcd7114e05eb25e558198162a2b7e406316f4.jpg)
So, you’re a smoker thinking about giving the ciggies the heave-ho by giving the far healthier vaping a go? Good choice.
First things first, though; there’s a lot to get your head around as a newbie vaper, right? A lot of equipment and technical paraphernalia to familiarise yourself with?
To an extent, yes; but, when starting out at the beginning, there are one or two things above all to concern yourself with – nicotine strength and what kind of e-juice to purchase from wholesale vaping supplies UK:
· Short fills – first up, this is a type of e-liquid that’s usually flavoured but comprises no nicotine and is sold in a bottle big enough for a further 10ml of fluid, the reason being so an extra 10ml of unflavoured nicotine-featuring e-liquid can be added by the vaper (most often a nic salt)
· Nic salts – the shortened moniker for nicotine salts, they were created to dexterously get around the EU/ UK laws of the last few years that aim to decrease consumption of nicotine-featuring vape juice; the paradox being, of course, that if you’re looking to quit smoking by switching from smoking to vaping, you’re still going to need a nicotine hit, at least at first, hence the industry’s creation of nic salts.
It’s important to note that nic salt nicotine isn’t the same as the nicotine that features in regular vape juice available from any and every e liquid manufacturer, owing to the fact the latter offers freebase nicotine, which won’t trigger a neurochemical reaction in a smoker-turned-vaper as fast as nic salt nicotine does. The long and short of it, then, is that nic salt nicotine functions more like the nicotine smokers are familiar with, ensuring that a short fill and nic salt combination may be ideal for them in getting away from those horrible carcinogenic cigarettes.
· Concentrates – different again, these vape juices are designed for vapers who are all about the taste, the so-called ‘flavour chasers’ (you know the kind, those ones who just love vaping, all day long, the likes of Berry Blast e-liquid). Usually free of nicotine, they’re perfect for when you’re up for trying different propylene glycol (PG) and vegetable glycerin (VG) blends, and varying flavoured concentrate strengths with flavourless e-juices.
How much nicotine should you be vaping?
Yes, one of the first things those new to vaping have to decide is what nicotine level in the vape suits them best in an e-juice from an e liquid manufacturer UK. More often than not, this comes down to the sort of nicotine level they’re most comfortable with already – that’s to say, it depends on how much nicotine they usually consume from tobacco-smoking.
Fair dos, the decision requires a bit of thought; one of the worst things to do as a would-be vaper fresh from years of smoking is to waste money on this new activity that’ll help you quit the ciggies – you don’t want to purchase a whole load of e-liquids/ short fills and nic salts only to discover their nicotine strengths aren’t high enough for you.
That said, there’s no use, either, in pre-guessing e-juice nicotine-strength; assuming, for instance, that vape liquid nicotine won’t be as strong as the nicotine you’re used to from your favoured cigarettes just because it’s in ‘healthier’, ‘cuddlier’ e-liquid. Nicotine strength is nicotine strength, whether it’s in tobacco or e-juice – if you’re going to make a successful switch from smoking to vaping, you don’t want to be feeling dizzy and unwell all day because the nicotine’s too much for you! So, start vaping with to the nicotine strength that sounds right to you and work from there.

Powerful Coils To Elevate Your Vaporiser
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/66b3841b622e829e84551f4146a4db9a/fb095d85ab251b7d-d0/s540x810/fc0f6cdf05ab9fcc680e1291b5fdeb34b5d800d1.jpg)
Whilst vape devices might seem simple on the surface, the reality is that there are many moving parts that make the device work. This is especially true of vape mods and variable devices, which are designed to be customisable. From atomisers to wicking cotton, there are many choices for you to make, one of the most important of which is the atomiser coil.
Whether vaping Dutty Juice or Nicohit e liquids, the coil will be responsible for the power and draw that you receive from your device. With many different materials to choose from, it’s a good idea to get to grips with the kinds of coil that are right for your needs. Whether vaping on a temperature control device or a simple cigalike, it’s important to know how the coil fits the device, and how you can get the most out of your replacements.
How Does A Coil Work?
Put simply, the coil acts as the artery of the vape device. Connecting the battery with the atomiser, the coil transfers electricity from the former and into heat for the latter. This heats up the e-liquid saturated wicking cotton and ultimately creates vapour for you to inhale. The coil can come in many different shapes and sizes, and materials can suit some styles of vaping better than others.
Ceramic Coil
A ceramic coil is known for being one of the most porous of coils due to its material not being metallic. The airy vapour draw that is produced is perfect for higher wattage devices and low nicotine e-liquids such as Uncles Vape.
Stainless Steel
Stainless steel comes in a variety of grades, but the most popular is Grade 430 stainless steel. These coils are slightly magnetic and are incredibly resilient, making them the ideal coil to use in temperature control devices as they can last a very long time at high temperatures.
Kanthal
Made from iron, chromium and aluminium, kanthal is popular due to its quick ramp-up time, heating up rapidly for a huge hit of vapour. This makes kanthal a vary good coil to use on wattage mode devices, but could be a little overwhelming on high nicotine Nicohit e-liquids.
Titanium
Titanium coils are perfect for homemade coil making as they are soft, malleable and easy to cut. Whilst a little more expensive than stainless steel coils, the clean and crisp taste that a titanium coil offers means it’s perfect for vaping rich flavours such as Purple Lush from Nicohits. Titanium coils are also compatible with temperature control devices, on which you’ll often find a TC Ti setting specifically designed for titanium coils.
Nickel
With many different nickel purities on the market, this metallic, low resistance coil is perfect for temperature control devices and sub-ohm devices. However, it’s not ideal for longer draws, and shouldn’t be used on high powered variable wattage or voltage devices. Nickel can react quite badly under high temperatures.
Nichrome
Nichrome is 20 percent nickel and 80 percent chromium - hence the name. These coils heat fast and are alloy protected from oxidation. Nichrome is an all-rounder and creates a satisfying vape hit.

Because it’s so great to vape: how to be a good vaping activist
As we all know, vaping is a fantastic thing to get into that ensures it goes beyond an activity, can become a hobby for many vapers and is always a big part of any enthusiast’s life. Yet, as great lovers of vaping, there’s more we can all do.
We can all become true advocates of vaping – spreading the word on the greatness of Uncles Vape co e-liquids, the actual facts and debunking falsehoods – and successfully representing the universe of vapers to those who don’t vape. So, how to go about it…?
Educate yourself
If you know what there’s to know about vaping issues then you’ll be in a position to inform others – and that means being able to put people straight on real vaping facts and, hopefully, changing opinions. When you’ve educated yourself, you can then talk to people on the subject with confidence; you’ll be able to get non-vaping family and friends to understand just why it’s so crucial smokers are – and can be – offered safer alternatives to the cigarettes so many are currently hooked on. None of this can start without knowing the detail yourself, to start with.
Recruit smokers
Ultimately, what’s needed is for more people to make the switch and start discovering and vaping the likes of Yankee Vape juice. This may very well sound obvious when it’s written down and you read it as a fact. Yet, the only way that happens is if more and more smokers are persuaded and recruited to the vaping cause. And when that happens, it’ll become a cause that’s harder and, eventually, impossible to stop.
So, it’s simple; as a lover and vaping, get out there and ask smokers whether they’ve tried vaping, suggest brands, products and retailers they might try and offer help, tips and hacks.
Advocate on social media
Social media seems to be where so much of it’s at, nowadays. There’s maybe nothing better than talking face-to-face with people to truly challenge their assumptions and opinions and change their minds, but social media platforms are nonetheless becoming ever more powerful as places to inform and influence. Their reach, after all, is potentially enormous – right across the world. To that end, vaping requires your advocacy on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram; especially as it’s where so much communication between advocates, politicians, scientists and journalists takes place.
Online advocacy offers a fantastic opportunity to reach and connect with not just those who aren’t allies (and so, foolishly, don’t love sampling Purple Lush e-juice), but those who are and do – and a great number of them, at that. This means you can connect with people, share ideas and truly multiply the message you believe in about vaping. Now that’s powerful!
Be a proud vaper!
Finally, there really is little that’s more important and little more effective for advocating vaping than by being a proud and – at times – loud vaper and not be shy about trying out and enjoying Nicohit e-liquids.
Enjoying So, be proud about vaping and don’t hide away you’re advocating something that can help others; their health and potentially their lives. Vape away and don’t hide it away!

Why’s my nicotine gone buzz-less? How to recover nicotine buzzes
Let’s not kid ourselves, nicotine is a drug. It owes that status to the fact that, like that other socially acceptable, popularly-consumed drug caffeine, should you have enough of it, it’s capable of causing you to develop dependency and, beyond that, an addiction.
Now, that’s a pretty stark way to start an article about nicotine buzzes – those quick, pleasurable experiences you get from vaping the likes of 50 50 e liquid comprising nicotine – but it actually underscores why you get a buzz in the first place and why, the more and more nicotine you consume, you might actually stop getting buzzes.
So, for the uninitiated, what’s a nicotine buzz like? Well, enthusiasts tend to say it’s a sensation that may increase alertness and focus, may deliver a head-rush or even make you a little light-headed, dizzy or woozy. For the most part, too, pleasurable nicotine buzzes are delivered when nicotine’s vaped (via, say, nicotine-featuring Uncles Vape juice) in moderation.
Where did those nicotine buzzes go?
If you’re experiencing it right, a nicotine buzz doesn’t tend to last long; little more than seconds. However, should you end up overdoing it vape-wise during a session, there’s a danger you could have a heavy buzz – which could lead to up to half-an-hour of side-effects. And, from such an unpleasant buzz, these would be side-effects, too; the likes of shakiness, jitteriness, nausea and a touch of disorientation. If this does happen, it’s a definite sign you need to take more breaks between your vaping, especially to regain those pleasurable nicotine buzzes.
This is a moot point, like it or not. Because if you vape a lot of nicotine, your brain will start to develop tolerance to it and that means that, at some point in the future, you’ll inevitably stop feeling buzzes – your brain just won’t react to the nicotine in your favourite e-juices (or nico salts) the way it once did.
But what’s going on here? Well, when nicotine is having the effect on you that you’d expect, it’s interacting with the receptors in the brain that help release neurotransmitters like the feel-good chemical dopamine. However, when your brain’s got used to you vaping it regularly and in large amounts, nicotine isn’t able to stimulate these receptors anymore, which means no more dopamine release.
Getting your nicotine buzz back
The simple solution, then, is to stop chasing nicotine buzzes by slowing down and allowing them to return naturally. But just how much of a break from nicotine-vape juices (or, of course, the best salt nic juice UK) are we talking here? A few hours would definitely be good but more would be advisable; for instance, putting down that vape device come the evening and then picking it up and vaping nicotine again, following this healthy pause, the following morning.
So, the message really should be clear; even if you don’t vape nicotine-featuring e-juice all the time and only do so every now and again, it’s arguably still important to be mindful about spacing out your vaping sessions. If you enjoy getting those nicotine buzzes, you don’t want to reach a point when they disappear and you have to resurrect them.

Market-leading mods: the best mods of 2020
Vape devices have come a long way in just a few years, so much so that this year, there’s a bevy of beautiful mods on the market – ensuring that each and every vaper out there is catered for with a device to get the very best out of the juice they’ve just bought from their favourite e liquid manufacturer UK.
And, don’t doubt it, mods really are the way forward for a vaper who’s growing in experience and confidence and wanting to experiment a little – so what are the best mods out there, right now…?
Vaporesso Gen S
If you’re a fan of generating big, big clouds, then the Gens S simply has to be your ultimate mod. Solid and dependably constructed, it incorporates Vaporesso’s ‘Meshed’ coil technology with a battery that can be charged to the full in just an hour, resulting in a device capable of delivering excellent flavour (especially if you love e-liquids big on flavour, like Berry Blast vape juice).
And what of those aforementioned big clouds? Well, this is a mod whose ‘pulse mode’ ensures its coil’s boosted every 0.02 seconds to generate steady, flavourful plumes. Also boasting a fire-resistant polycarbonate case, it’ll surely be top of the list of ‘vapour chasers’ this Christmas!
Vaporesso GTX One
Ideal for relatively inexperienced vapers when it comes to all things mod, this one’s a great shout as a beginner mod. If nothing else, that’s because it’s easy to use, with an airflow control that’s simple to adjust between its mouth-to-lung (MTL) and direct-to-lung (DTL) settings, as well as an impressively smooth airflow courtesy of its GTX Tank 18.
Yet, it’s also a highly portable mod; it’ll not just fit snugly in your pocket but it’ll look perfectly at home on your desk or table, too, thanks to its ergonomically sleek, aesthetically cool appearance. Plus, flavour-fans are in luck with the GTX One because it’s big on eking out every ounce of taste from your favourite e liquid manufacturer’s juices – and generating a nice amount of vapour, too.
Smok Nord X
If a high-quality pod mod’s what you’re after, this device might prove to be right up your street. A highly dependable sub ohm pod kit that’s renowned for its ease-of-use, the Nord X is the latest in Smok’s acclaimed Nord line. It relies on a 1500mAh battery for power and its wattage can be adjusted between 5W and 60W – undeniably, then, enabling a very customisable, personalised vape.
Very similar in design to the popular Nord 2 (it essentially looks like a big brother next to the latter), the Nord X is also blessed with waterproof, shockproof and dustproof capabilities and is ideal for either MTL or DTL vaping – so, whatever takes your fancy during the day. Moreover, thanks to its easy-to-use settings, it’s designed for all users, whatever their level of (pod) mod experience.
Wismec Luxotic MF Box
Finally, if you’re ready to go the whole hog and make your vaping experience as personalised as possible, then possibly the best unregulated box mod on the market right now (and available from many a wholesale vaping supplies UK) is this beauty from Wismec. Indeed, while Wismec’s fans still love their devices for their simplicity, it’s the Luxotic MF Box’s impressive features that really recommend it – in short, this device isn’t just about raw battery power.
A versatile beast, then, it’s modifiable to the extent that an experienced vaper could well set it up to run as a squonker, a regulated mod or an unregulated mod. Specification-wise, it can be run by a single 18650/ 20700 or dual 18650s in parallel configuration, while it’s rated up to 100 watts. Really, who could ask for more?

It’s all in a day’s vape: can vaping help alleviate anxiety?
For many, there’s something comforting about vaping and, it appears, that inherent comfort helps them to manage their anxiety – but why? How can vaping actually help people when they experience anxiety…?
Understanding anxiety
Before we get into how vaping may be able to help alleviate anxiety, it’s important to get a proper hold on what anxiety is. In short, it’s the body’s entirely natural and – in many circumstances – necessary response to stress, which creates feelings of both apprehension and unease, due to what the brain perceives as fear or concern. To that end, then, every human being experiences anxiety at some point, in a mild, moderate or extreme form.
However, anxiety disorders are a different thing to natural ‘healthily-experienced’ anxiety. Those who suffer with anxiety disorders tend to feel excessive, persistent worry and fear – often in everyday situations. Anxiety disorders, therefore, bring on repeated episodes of anxiety, which (out of proportion to actual real-life dangers and potentially chronic) can become almost instantly intense and, too often, result in panic attacks.
Can nicotine be a cause of anxiety?
Now, one of the prime ingredients in cigarette tobacco and, yes, a significant ingredient in many vape juices (such as the delicious Fruit Burst) is nicotine – of course, its existence in such e-liquids is due to the fact that vaping can be such an effective alternative for smokers to get away from tobacco and all its potentially life-threatening toxins. Yet, this may complicate matters – because if nicotine (as pointed out, so common to vaping) can help cause anxiety, where does that leave us?
Well, as the main addictive chemical in tobacco (and e-liquids), it does seem that nicotine may help to bring on anxiety in smokers – but perhaps less so in vapers. Maybe that’s because most vapers tend to consume less nicotine than smokers do, what with many vapers trying to reduce their nicotine consumption over time (in favour of experiencing the likes of Nicohit flavours) and removing the addictive element that could draw them back to tobacco?
Either way, nicotine appears to help cause anxiety, which is bad news for smokers but appears to less of an issue for vapers, but the exact connection between the chemical and anxiety aren’t, at the present time, fully understood. That said, other chemicals in tobacco can quite clearly contribute to serious lung illnesses, which may well trigger anxiety due to shortness of breath.
Plus, tobacco smoke can induce respiratory issues, of course, potentially leading to sleep deprivation; another catalyst for anxiety. All of which points to the fact that smoking could well, for sure, contribute to anxiety – in a way that vaping (with its equipment bought from reliable e cig wholesale suppliers UK) simply doesn’t.
So, how does vaping help ease anxiety?
First off, taking the last point and running with it – in switching from the potentially anxiety-inducing smoking to vaping, the latter may well simply help ease anxiety in (ex-)smokers because they’ve found something new to replace smoking.
Beyond this, though, both (ex-)smokers and vapers do tend to say that, as an activity, vaping can help calm them down. Why’s this the case? Well, like eating ‘comfort food’, vaping appears to operate, in this scenario, as a ‘comfort habit’; the fact it’s a relaxing activity means it helps vapers to calm down during the day and help take their mind off things for a few minutes.
Moreover, many people vape e-liquids (such as, say, Dutty Juice) simply to experience the flavour and aroma it generates. It operates here, then, as a sort of aromatherapy, further aiding in the relief of stress and anxiety.
This sounds a curious thing, for sure; but finding solace and pleasure in routine activities that it enjoys, is important for the mind and can help to calm and destress an individual. In short, vaping has its role to play in helping reduce anxiety in some, if not all, vapers for whom vaping’s an important part of their life’s daily ritual.

Hot stuff: getting the best out of a Volcano Vaporizer
Do you own a Volcano Vaporizer? Did you in the past and would like to again? Have you always wanted to own one? The Volcano’s a table-top vaporising device that has a long history, dating back all of 20 years. It was influential in popularising herbal vaping, helping to turn it into a phenomenon and, eventually, achieve mainstream acceptance.
Moreover, like so many products available today from the finest wholesale vaping supplies companies, one might say its capacity to deliver power, efficiency and flavour (as well as cool, sleek design) maybe hasn’t ever been toped in the herb-vaping stakes. So, how to get the very best out of one of these awesome bits of kit…?
Grind that herb
As opposed to doing the business for high-quality e-liquids like Berry Blast, the Volcano’s all about delivering the vaping goodness of dry herb. Yet, unless you grind the herb well before you start vaporising, then it’s all for naught, really; so be sure to make use of the good-quality and reliable grinder that comes with the device. It’ll be sure to grind the herb down practically to powder, thereby ensuring the Volcano can make the most of all the goodness from each and every chamberful you load it up with.
Experimentation’s your friend
Speaking of which, packing a Volcano’s chamber smartly is always a win-win. Like when trying to get the very best out of an esteemed e liquid manufacturer’s vape juice from an e-cig device via different settings, making use of a Volcano’s valves is a must. Experimentation is the name of the game here, then, because if you’re deploying the Volcano’s solid valve, you’ll be able to load up the chamber with however much or little herb as you want… but that’s far from all.
And that’s because the device’s easy valve is ideal for a fully-filled or half-full chamber; although, if you’re going for the latter option, you might find the resultant vapour’s a bit on the light side – the remedy? Just up the herb a load a little. Finally, you might opt to use Volcano dosing capsules, especially if you’re a solo herb vaper. They’re great for just-for-one sessions without overdoing it by loading up a chamber and wasting herb.
Aim high, temperature-wise
Let’s face it, when it comes to several different herb-focused vape devices, setting them at high temperatures doesn’t tend to yield the best results; instead, it can result in burnt herb. Not nice. Yet, not so much with a Volcano (this shouldn’t really be a surprise; the clue’s in the name – it’s called a ‘Volcano!’).
Specifically designed for vaping herb when temperatures are set high (like, you might say, cleverly designed mod devices when vaping flavoursome juices from an excellent UK e liquid manufacturer UK), the Volcano excels with its swift airflow, ensured by a terrific convection system, at high temperature settings. It’s not just about being able to reach those high-quality vaping-friendly, high temperatures, though, because it’s also important the Volcano can efficiently cool down as vaping progresses; which it does with aplomb. And that means users don’t end up coughing away but enjoy a satisfying herb session, all the way from its start to its end.
