unfortunately..this genuinely needs to be said: if you are stalking the sturniolos, showing up at places they’ve been, or trying to figure out where they live, that is not normal fan behavior. it’s invasive, scary, and straight-up dangerous for both parties.

there comes a point where parasocial attachment can cross over into something obsessive or delusional—where someone convinces themselves they belong in that person’s life. in some cases, it may even resemble some sort of parasocial psychosis, which could be a serious disconnection from reality, where boundaries disappear and entitlement takes over.

the triplets are real people. they deserve privacy, safety, and peace just like anyone else. being a fan does not give you permission to violate those boundaries.

You didn’t hate Matt Sturniolo. You just strongly disliked everything about him. The way he always had a sarcastic comment locked and loaded. The way he acted like he was the smartest one in the room (even when, annoyingly, he sometimes was). The way he smirked at you like he knew he was under your skin and loved it. So when Nick announced the four of you were filming a new YouTube challenge called “Handcuffed to My Enemy for 24 Hours,” you laughed. Loudly. Until you saw the name next to yours. Matt. You and Matt. Nick grinned like the little evil genius he was. “This is gonna be so good.”

Hour 1

You were handcuffed at the wrist. The plastic was pink and sparkly—Chris picked them out “for the aesthetic.” Matt wouldn’t stop humming obnoxiously. You were two seconds from grabbing a pillow and suffocating him. “I didn’t even do anything,” he defended. “Exactly! You never do anything and it’s still annoying.” “You love hearing yourself talk, huh?” Chris: “Should we take bets on when they kiss?” You and Matt (in unison): “SHUT UP.”

Hour 5

You tried to cook while handcuffed. Matt spilled spaghetti sauce on his hoodie. You laughed harder than you had in weeks. He fake-glared at you while trying to wipe tomato off his sleeve. “Your evil laugh is literally echoing in my soul,” he said. “Your hoodie looks better with sauce on it. It’s an improvement.” But there was a shift. The teasing turned lighter. Less sharp.

Hour 9

It was just past 11 p.m., and Nick had fallen asleep halfway through editing. Chris was snoring on the floor with one sock on. You and Matt were sitting on the couch, still handcuffed, but… closer. “I’m shocked you made it this far without punching me,” he said. You smirked. “Who says I haven’t mentally done it?” Matt chuckled, then grew quiet. “You know what’s weird?” “Hm?” “You’re not as unbearable as I thought.” You raised an eyebrow. “Is that your idea of a compliment?” He shrugged. “You’re actually… fun. Smart. Kind of hot when you’re mad.” You turned toward him. “Did Matt Sturniolo just flirt with me?” He met your eyes. “Maybe.” You didn’t say anything. Just leaned in. He leaned in, too. Right before anything happened, Chris groaned from the floor: “If you two kiss while I’m sleeping in the same goddamn room, I’m suing.”

24 Hours Later, the handcuffs were off. But something felt different. Matt caught your hand before you left. “Hey,” he said. “So… we’re not really enemies, right?” You grinned. “Not anymore.” He smiled. “Cool. Sick. Want to hang out again?” “Sure. But next time, I pick the handcuffs.”
