     "I'm on break- what do you want?"

"I'm sure, but it's..." Nick checks his watch and looks up at her. ".... five minutes to closing. Why would I want to go home right away? The weather is fantastic. Thought I'd go surfing." He winks, taking off the apron that is around his waist. "I'll take you home, nothing else." The bartender steps out from behind the counter to go in back and get his things.

She threw back a large sip of the beer, and sighed with slight relief at the taste. As soon as he spoke up she glanced at Nick, a small, appreciative smile on her lips. “That would be great.. Thanks.” She nodded, though felt bad for taking his offer. Plus he was a random bartender that she didn’t know, which might make it a little dangerous. “You sure you don’t wanna, I dunno.. Get home or something?”

"Thanks." He smiles kindly at the other and slowly wrings the towel in his hands. "Can I get you something?"

"Nice bar." He complimented, as well as answering why he would bother to show up more than once.

"I'm not expecting you to, especially because it's a public place. Want a drink?"

"…" Loki looked around. Where he was? "Do not think I will apologize myself for enter in your place."

"Sure thing." Nick grabs another beer for her, opens it, and sets it down on the bar top. He takes the money, putting it into the cash register out of her view before beginning to clean some glasses. "I get off in 10 minutes. I could give you a ride."

"Yeah, please." She responded in a slightly dry tone, the pain making her crabby. "One more beer and then I gotta hit the road." Avalon laid down a bill for him to take in return, and smiled small again.

Gendarme V The Ironman star is in-your-face and no pretensions. If you knew a man by the fragrance he wears, it is no surprise that Robert Downey jr prefers Gendarme V. The fragrance is uncluttered- bergamot, lemon sparkle going down to basil , it gives a woody aroma that acts like a chick magnet. -mensxp

"I didn't find you, you just kinda wandered in here." Twin, that I can get used to.

“— I see. What is your name and how did you found me, twin of the Man of Iron?”

Nick glances down, notices how she seems to nurse that one hand, and moves his eyes up to her again. "If you say so." He smiles right back, cleaning up a spot on the bar top. "You're welcome." The bartender holds up her bottle. "Another?"

Avalon looked up at the man, smiling as he mentions his little peeve. She nodded, lifting her wrist to rest on the counter, and groaned low before speaking again. “I won’t get slammed.. But right now I have no way to get where I need to go to wrap this up.  So.” the redhead shrugged, a gave small, friendly smile. “But thanks.”

"Me? Tony Stark? Oh, no. As wonderful as that would be, that's not me."

“— Man of Iron, how… Interesting is to see you wearing nothing but your Midgardians clothes, so vunerable.”

"Really? You look to be in pain." Nick shrugs, picks up her beer, and sets a napkin under it. "I have a peeve with water rings." He smiles, before resting both hands on the counter. "Drinking won't help but maybe a couple hours."

"I’m..," Avalon groaned, a sting of pain shooting up her leg. "Fine." She caressed her broken hand, then took another sip of her beer, sighing in to it.

my favorite part of my day was when i was reading my psychology textbook and noticed that it listed robert downey junior as an example of a celebrity with narcissistic personality disorder
