We arrived in Campo, CA at CLEEF aka Camp Lockett in the pouring rain. In a typical introvert fashion I chose to awkwardly stand in the corner overwhelmed by all the new faces. Papa Bear looked at me & said “we’re all family here” I didn’t realize how true that was about to be at the time. I signed the wall feeling bummed with how crappy my name looked compared to others. I talked to a couple people & met Eric (soon to be known as “Woodsy”) who Ray knew from work. With it pouring rain they told us we could stay in the “bunk house” so the 30 some of us took off in the dark with packs on our backs & our headlamps lighting the way. Ray & I ended up in our own room with cots to sleep on with the bathroom just across the hall. The next morning they provided breakfast but it was so loud I just walked out, grabbed a cookie, & headed back to the room. We packed up & headed out to the border.

Here is my Pacific Crest Trail gear list :)

This is what I'm planning to pack for 5-6 months. The desert & Sierra sections are things I'm packing only in those areas then sending them back home.

This is just my base weight so it doesn't include food/water. I plan to do a mix of resupplying in town & picking up resupply packages that Ray put together for me.
