Hey, if you do crafts (especially things like crochet, knitting, embroidery, etc), make sure to look up how to identify when a listing is AI generated. You do NOT want to waste money on an incredible looking kit or pattern that is physically impossible to make, especially if you're on sites like etsy hoping to support an actual artist.

Finished a project for me! The pattern is Cowlorful, free on Ravelry - designed by Shawn Torres: 👉 https://buff.ly/4g9Vvx0 It's an easy make, easier than it looks. I used worsted-weight silk roving from Darn Good Yarn in the watercolors colorway and Knit Picks Comfy in black. ❤️

Entering the dance floor, it's my latest pattern, the Don't Ewe Want Me Shawl, in LolaBean Yarn Co yarn Dream Bean. The colorways are Wake Me Up Before You Indie-GoGo, Bananarama, and Something About Ewe.
The names that Adella gave these colorways were the inspiration for this shawl. The 80’s British pop was part of my formative years in music. I imagined a shawl that mirrored the dance parties back then, with the deejay fading from one song to bring in the next.
I went with a crescent shape that would be easy to wear, and I transitioned between the colorways by marling the yarn. I kept the whole thing relaxed by using Irish moss for the main field and garter stitch for the edge.
From now until February 20, half of all sales will be going to Mission Blue Skies.
From now until January 26, get 20% off this pattern. This discount does not affect the donation to Mission Blue Skies.
Links to the pattern on Ravelry and Payhip are on my website.

Charity shop haul from a few days ago! Organza strips in a bunch of colours, a pack of pre-cut felt, some cheap project frames, and an adorable little candy-striped yarn bag with some nice yarn included. And a beginner's guide to quilting, because I have no idea how that particular textile art works but I want to learn and I find actual books much easier to study from than internet tutorials.
(This blog has been quiet btw because I haven't had much time for craft projects for the last couple of months - a combination of medical stuff and being wildly busy with a massive fic editing project for my best friend has used up all the energy I've had available. But I'm hoping to make progress on a few things soon!)

So um
I think I have to start a crochet business now. I've bought so much chenille yarn to turn into scrunchies and I don't even use scrunchies because I keep my hair short.
I'll be working on these in between other projects and gifts now. 🫡 If I do get this started, I'll share a link to wherever I start selling.

Yaaaall what should I do with this yarn???? I wanna make something for my shop but idk what!!!!!
I don't HAVE to use all three, I'm honestly more thinking probably just gonna do one of the purples and the green, but idk depending on what I do I could make all 3 work... Idk, what do you guys think?
Oh also, any recs for lights I can use for product photos? I don't rlly get much good lighting in my house and my phone struggles to take a decent photo regardless
