The very first Asian drama (Taiwanese) I ever watched was Mars. Someone uploaded episodes on YouTube way back in the early 2000s and I was enamored. I thought it was the coolest show ever.

The female lead was Barbie Hsu. She was one of the most beautiful girls I had ever seen. The perfect little face and her voice was pleasant too. She had that certain type of feminine energy that I always wanted to invoke. I was an instant fan.

Waking up this morning and finding out she passed feels like a piece of my childhood has been wiped away. Of course it's not about me. And my heart breaks for her husband. But I still felt like speaking about her.

Back in November another original in my life Song Jae Rim passed and the same feeling overtook me.

I always harp about not worshipping celebrities. And I don't think I do. But I can't help but mourn them. I need to mourn them.
