~beginnings

ember had an interesting home life. her father was never one for affection and her mother, who was ecstatic to have a girl, forcefully held a hand in every choice her daughter made. the closest thing she had to a healthy parental relationship was with her father’s house elf gibmey. he was fairly young (for a house elf), stern, mischevious and had no issue telling bratty little ember no. she was fully aware that her parents didn’t love each other, at least not like other parents. they hardly even slept in the same room and those cheating scandals weren’t always rumors but they also held no animosity towards each other. its safe to say her idea of love was fucked. an athletic girl full of energy, she was not allowed to play sports but her mother pushed her into dancing. ember practically lived for it even still she’s resentful over never getting to try out for quidditch. 

~relationships

ember was groomed as a typical pureblood princess and considers herself simply better than most people. she has many opportune “friends”, only there to serve a purpose as she is for them. those that she trains with, attends galas with and gets caught in tabloids (in only the best light) with. parent-approved friends and the like but her true friendship lies with tatianna curvilinear and dominique weasley. in her second year of schooling at hogwarts ember met dominique on the quidditch pitch at tryouts, there to watch because her mother would never allow her to join. dom being dom made an offhand comment about how those who can’t play watch and ember got on a broom and kicked her ass. suffice it to say dom was impressed and wondering why ember wasn’t trying out for the slytherin team. when she gives her typical “uninterested and above it all answer” dom eloquently responds “that’s complete rubbish. you don’t get that good by not caring, but okay” and walks away. later that evening she finds ember in the great hall and they’ve been friends ever since. tati was more of an extra that came along with dom but ember loves her attitude and appreciates her naivete. lastly there is oliver kensington, a wealthy socialite prominent in both the wizarding and muggle worlds. he’s the one who gave her the name godiva in the first place for her love of chocolate and.. other reasons. but the name came out of love, so even after acknowledging its implications ember still allows its use for a chosen few. he’s possibly her worst enemy but also her greatest ally, neither one of them has decided yet. they take great pictures together though.

~future

ember has always been  a never show your hand, emotions locked up in fort knox kind of girl. even still she lived her life trying to gain her father’s approval. she quit ballet after leaving hogwarts to focus on what he would call a real career. both her and dom join the auror offices during their seventh year, one to appease her father and the other to find some action. after a year they were both placed in the investigations department, dom finally getting that rush she was looking for and ember finding out what a close family dynamic is meant to feel like. for years she loved the job, but even so left for a management position as head of the department. she even spends time with the department of mysteries in another attempt to attract her father’s attention. something she finally managed to do when she made minister for magic, succeeding hermione in 2038. this attention she gained came along with constant favors asked of her until ember finally stood up to blaise, his pure blood ideals and his idea of what she could be. sadly their relationship did not survive the encounter. her experience with the multiple facets of the ministry of magic and connections in both wizarding and muggle society made for an entirely new and perfect form of leadership. besides her career success, ember also worked toward building a real relationship with her mother. they have tea on thursdays. she has a single adopted son that is her whole world and not much of a love life, but hey there’s time.

Just another note...

I understand people's anger over Rose’s initial reaction to Scorpius, but I also think you might be imagining these characters as too perfect. Rose is raised by both Ron and Hermione, two incredibly beautiful people... who are also known for being hella judgmental. Scorpius is a Malfoy, even without rumors flying around (that lets be honest Ron probably spread in his household) Rose would definitely had some uneasy feelings about this kid (mostly whether he’s a dick or not). I don’t think she’d be all “We cant sit with him he’s a Malfoy eww”, but there’d be some apprehension. Now once they reach Hogwarts and Scorpius was sorted, that’s probably when she’d make up her mind to keep her distance. Both a Malfoy and a Slytherin? She’s an 11 year old kid and her dad has only ever said terrible things about both. We look at Slytherin and we know it’s not an evil house, but this kid has got like maybe 3 good guys from there and to her knowledge everyone else sucked (also good is kind of debatable). Crunching the numbers why would she align herself with Scorpius. Lastly once Albus was sorted there’s no way she’d just dump him. She was shocked and in her own way she’d probably try to help, but with Albus’s increasing depression from the media, his peers and yea sometimes his family, because they’re not perfect and even though they love him  they don’t know how to help it’s hard. including his insistence on being friends with Scorpius she just wouldn’t know what to do and their friendship would kind of dissolve because she’s got other things going on she finds important. It’s probably not until she fully spends time with Scorpius and actually listens to Albus that she understands that she fucked up, that everyone fucked up and she’d full on fight anyone to the death who would dare say that Albus and even Scorpius are worthless or evil.

Just a note...

no one expected the Wotters to stay redheads because none of the Weasleys married redheads and it’s a recessive gene, meaning incredibly unlikely to appear. Lily Luna just happened to win the genetic lottery, red hair and no magic.

Lysander Scamander is he son of luna lovegood and rolf scamander. he is a proud ravenclaw and quidditch chaser. works as a bartender pretty much anywhere and studies the great outdoors. hogwarts graduate 2026.

~begginings

lysander has always been one of two. even though luna strongly encouraged individuality, everyone always saw him as part of lorcan and lysander but he didn’t mind. he liked having a twin, someone who was so similar but knew that they couldn’t be more different. they did tend to get in fights pretty often though for the simple fact that their personalities just clashed. lysander’s relationship with his parents is almost tv perfect. he’s one of those kids who thinks his mom and dad are the absolute coolest people. he did get to spend his youth traveling, discovering and interacting with more cultures than most people would in a lifetime so its a fair assumption. in fact, hogwarts is almost dull in comparison. lysander does appreciate having all his friendships in one place becaus for a boy who makes friends easily but is always on to the next adventure, he sometimes felt heartbroken thinking of the people he had met, but would probably never see again.

~relationships

out of the hundreds of thousands of people he meets in his lifetime lysander’s closest friends remain, lucy weasley, slytherin and theater nerd,  clara dursley, ravenclaw and mom friend, rizal rivera, fellow filipino and outdoor enthusiast and of course, lorcan. clara and lucy are of course from lysander’s early hogwarts days. he met clara first day of hogwarts in the boats on the way to school. he spent the time explaining to her why she couldn’t ride with her older cousins and answering her numerous questions. clara kinda attached herself to him once there were sorted into the same house and lysander liked essentially being her teacher, welcoming her to all things magical. he didn’t learn till later her cousins were the Potters. lysander’s introduction to lucy was more lorcan’s fault. apparently there were these silly polls where lucy was voted, of their year in slytherin house, “most likely to succeed”. it drove lorcan a little mad which both lucy and lysander found hilarius and boom instant friendship. lastly rizal is a friend lysander made as an young adult when visiting the phillipines, his father’s homeland. he was a small time comedian and had never left the island before but desperately wanted to so lysander took him away. lysander’s first and only love was louis weasley. as a child he’d only seen him a handful of times but once he hit hogwarts louis had his full attention. his third year he even skipped out on multiple family holidays to be able to see louis at the weasley family celebrations because he no longer saw him at hogwarts. there’s been other  guys such archie evans, a particularly painful one,but he’s only ever loved louis.

~future lysander’s future started after hogwarts with a simple bartending job he was definitely over qualified for but that brought in money while he wondered about what he was going to do with his life. he roomed with his brother and lucy because he didn’t really have anywhere else to go. he wanted to travel and he told luna this to which she said “then go.” he took his savings and the few things he owned and took off to barcelona, spanish being one of his best languages. he hitchhiked because he wanted to enjoy the journey rather than apparating, in fact he makes it a rule not to use magic unless absolutely necessary. this becomes his life zipping off to different places, meeting different people, he even happens to discover a new species by complete accident, but that’s another rather embarrassing story. he doesn’t really plan on slowing down, because well lysander doesn’t plan much of anything, but maybe just maybe he’ll try for someone special ;)

when they were really small the dynamic was easy. harry was super fun dad and ginny was super cool mom. all of them went on adventures and fought together like siblings. then by age eight suddenly james was too old for lily and had other friends. albus being the mediator spent his days with her to lessen the blow. once she turned nine most people, including her, were starting to worry she wasn’t showing magical abilities  and albus was going off to hogwarts so maybe she pulled away. 

by age thirteen albus was full on teenage angst, lily was in muggle school and james seemed way to out of reach. harry couldn’t even get through to albus, had no idea how to talk to james and lily didn’t want to be his little girl anymore. ginny only spoke to james superficially, couldn’t say anything lily would actually hear and only seemed to talk to albus to explain that his father didn’t hate him. their beautiful children had been dimmed by age, the media, genetics and just well life.

 james, the mother hen who hides behind a joking exterior, Lily luna, the genius who never could stay in one place very long, and albus, ambitious and exhausted just waiting to see which one wins out. with not much in common but blood and a stronger pull to ginny (they love him, but harry is a mess) they’re a bit estranged, even when living in the same house. family though is stronger than all other forces of nature and when necessary, they know how to find their way back to each other.

~beginnings    

the definition of ordered chaos rose knew pretty well what she wanted out of life from the start and never thought that achieving it was out of reach. by age 5 she had a firm grasp on the privileges of her heritage and by eight, a substantial life plan taking all variables into account. even still her mother pushed her hard consistently. it put a strain on their relationship and pushed her much closer to her father who reasonably understands the pressure hermione can place on those she loves. it was his idea to put rose in boxing because problems you can solve with your hands are simpler. rose and hugo are two peas in a pod, not that they’re attached at the hip, but they get each other like no one else does. between this, her parents’ loving marriage and her extended family, she’s surrounded by an infallible support system, something she doesn’t appreciate as often as she should. 

~relationships

rose is a magnet for attention, but her strong resting bitch face as well as an inability to deal with others’ bullshit make sure her only lasting relationships come through family and her own initiation (not often). scorpius introduced her to her rose’s one true best friend. bistra krum, fellow gryffindor and number one supporter of a hogwarts fightclub. quiet, methodical and easily bored bistra was perfect for loud, bossy and intelligent rose. she balanced rose in a way, stayed entertained with rose’s inner musings and never let herself be treated like a doormat, as rose tends to treat most. two sides of the same coin if you will. the biggest heartbreak of rose’s young life was scorpius malfoy. he’d had a crush on her that ended well before third year, but the flirting continued as fun banter due to habit. rose knew this and became volatile and angry about having no control over her feelings or his and it really strained their group until bistra called rose out on her shit. the next time she fell in love it was mutual but until then she’s mostly one night stands and breaking hearts.

~future

rose’s future, despite her plan, is not 100% what she expected. she planned to go to college but falls into freelance journalism in sixth year and starts getting paid for it by seventh. she loves it and the challenging adventure it provides. not only does she enjoy uncovering secrets and reporting hard hitting news, but people are willing to pay ridiculously for a good recommendation from rose weasley. she’s had fans since she was born and doesn’t sugar coat anything so if she says your club is the shit, then it is. social media management is another thing she didn’t expect to be doing but she was young, molly wanted to promote her band and it has management in the title. nowadays she just meets with people about how to brand themselves and has consultations that help her perfectly design and organize someone’s say instagram. Lives in London obviously, she set her sights on the biggest city around. she lives with bistra because she doesn’t do well on her own.
