Legacy of New Lanark by Derek Allison

A poem by Lanark writer and creative Derek Allison / display in a futuristic/ present tense- something that reflect new lanark tense. for display in a number of varieties- past present and futuristic. To display in style of early 19th century letters- as seen in New Lanark archive material- using digitisation methods. Theorising Digital Cultural Heritage and writings by Laura Jane Smith discuss how digitisation can be decontextualising for archive and heritage, but it can also be an effective method of raising awareness and bringing heritage and archive to the forefront of heritage and museum/ attractions, which otherwise wouldn't have seen the light of day.

There’s an irony, slight ridiculousness and therefore humour to my work, in the context of theoretical underpinnings, heritage etc. I should exploit this, be informed of the underpinnings, explore and develop it further!
