Eikόna Churusso’s View on Recent Events
One more job completed. The Omens are a strange lot but they pay decent coin for simple tasks, too simple if you ask me. I don’t trust these strange men with their strange ways.  I do have a warning from them for Keelo though, however as I arrived at Keelo’s town I was greeted with refugees. Perhaps it is due to my own ignorance but I do not understand why the guards turned them away. surly they need the assistance, and the town would spare a loan of hunting supplies over risking their own men upon the wilds, manpower is a valuable resource even in the harshest times. Anyway before I could make any headway to understanding this dilemma I was confronted with another task. Bandits raided the town and with the aid of some nearby mercenaries we managed to destroy their front, however one of the men who aided me claimed to have seen enemies infiltrate the town. This pressing concern compounds with my previous warning and I do not envy Keelo for the daunting task ahead of him. But just as urgent is the task of receiving payment for this unprecedented raid. It may be in my best interest to pursue a more noble sentiment over monetary, these refugees debt will be worth far more than a few coins for the purse.

Session 1
Welcome To Stelemvar

I apologize if this makes it more difficult for people to view but if you are interested in the story this is the best I can do.

Talik The Untrusted (Elf Monk)
Played by: Kristyan Hahn
Talik was born into a very fortunate family. Most elves do not give birth to many children. When they do, it is tradition, that the fourth child be given to the temple for training. These lucky few are trained from birth to be militant masters. They are taught to be elite warriors. They are normally well disciplined. Talik was the best. He trained day and night even when he didn’t need to. His masters were impressed with the young mans talent. In hand to hand combat he sometimes came out on top of those training him. During tests of strategy the young elf would regularly impressive his teacher with his ruthlessness and guile. He would crumble others defenses and batter them with what seemed like little effort. Talik spend most of his life being the best. Being the best is boring though. Eventually he started to feel that the temple had nothing left to teach him. He began slipping into the Masters archives at night. One particular night he found a tome, sitting out in the open, that he had never seen before. He began to read and was generally impressed. Ancient arts referring to creatures that hadn’t been seen in the king or queens long life. He stole the tome and spent every evening practicing these arts. One evening he gave a tremendous roar and spit from his mouth a burst of fire. It was beautiful. It also alerted the Masters. The Masters saw the flame and charged was they perceived as a threat to the temple. Instead they caught Talik red handed, holding the tome. Talik then had his name stripped from him and was banished from the temple. Due to Talik being given away at birth, he had no family to return to and began to travel as far away as he possibly could.

Aryia (Half-Elf Sorcerer)
Played by: Arianna
Ariya, a young half elf, was born to a village within the Kingdom of Troy. Her village was near to the temple in this militant kingdom. When she was young her village was attacked by strange people in green leather armor. As these attackers destroyed her village they slaughtered man, woman and child. She was lucky, her parents had foresight and at the first signs of danger they hid her in their cellar. When she emerged from her hiding the screaming had stopped but the suffering had not. She immediately found her parents dead on the floor of her house. The residents of the temple near to her village swept through the city. These followers of Hades went through the city performing ceremony so that the dead could find a place to rest. When they walked into Aryia’s home they were surprised to find her alive, crying in her mother and fathers dead arms. The Necro Obelisk of the temple made the decision that any surviving children from the raids would be trained within the temple. She took a liking to Arcane magics and the ability to heal her allies. During her time within the temple it seemed that there was rebuilding being done outside. She was confined to the temple though and assigned a job. As a full, and adult member she had all the hair beneath the first layer dyed white. She was assigned a task as well. She would stand vigilant inside the tunnels to the river Styx beneath the temple. As the spirits past by she would overhear talks of the Green Armored men raiding across Troy. One day a spirit mentioned an intricate tattoo of intertwined serpents spiraling down a raiders arm. In a vivid flash back she sees her mother and father through the crack in her cellar door being murdered by someone with this same tattoo. She decided at that moment that she would exact her revenge. On her 21st birthday she would set out and destroy this gang on her own. She prepared and left just as she had planned. She followed the trail of devastation left by this gang. She heads northward and finds that these people are followers of the Giants. On learning this she retreats back to the temple and informs the Obelisk of her findings. The Obelisk proceeds to lash her 3 times across her back and casts her out of the temple and all of Troy. Arya is currently trying to put as much distance as she can from any and all of the temples believing them to be possibly corrupt.
Description: Pale with a layer of black hair covering her stark white ceremoniously bleached hair.

“Tom” (Yuan-Ti Pureblood Sorcerer)
Played by: Alex Maccalini
Living most of his life spat on and considered useless by those in the ruling class “Tom” has grown tired of these stupid creatures he shares a temple with. At a word from the ruling class he notices the major warriors and sorcerers from the upper class start to prepare for some type of battle. Knowing that his life may depend on it, “Tom” journeys to the entrance and lies low wrapped in an enchanted cloak. If there is an opportunity to escape this place he will take it. You see he is of the lower class, and his kind has been sacrificing the lower cast in honor of the Giants who they allied during the war. Suddenly the front gates open. The front gates have been sealed since his kind lost the war and these idiots still serve the Giants. They LOST. The incompetence of his kind is beyond him. He will show them their folly. He will destroy these creatures they call Gods. For now, he needs to escape and for that he will go to where it is cold. In case one of the Giants notices him and sends his kin after him. His kind hate the cold.
Description: Looking mostly human he believes he can pass as one with his enchanted cloak. His scales and skin are bronze or tan in color and the only thing that sets him apart from an average human is his mouth which extends from one ear to the other and his eyes that reveal his serpentine nature. He wears a cloak with a deep hood to conceal his appearance from those around him.

Eikόna Churusso (Human Fighter)
Played by: Josh Johnson
Eikόna was given up at birth by his family. Born free he was brought up by a noble family in Heho Alari. The family raised Eikόna as one of their own along with his 3 other siblings. One of the reasons this family took Eikόna in was that they had been forced by custom to relinquish one of their children to The Monastery of the Ascendant Dragon. Eikόna and his elven owners grew very close over time. Generally Eikόna worked in the mines, as did many of the slaves. Then, the goblins attacked. Eikόna, spurred forward by a fighting spirit he did not realize he possessed, led the slaves in an all out battle against the goblins. Seeing his militant prowess Eikόna was given leadership of a large cohort of slaves and went on to earn many laurels for martial prowess and victory in battle. As he fights, legends begin to stir of a warrior that fights with the strength and swiftness of two men. A blur seemed to follow this amazing man in combat striking along with him and intercepting attacks that would otherwise end this hero’s life. Wizards and Sorcerers claimed this blur was a manifestation of magic brought forth from the young man's will. Clerics and Paladins claimed that the divines had blessed him with this power. Eikόna continued to fight but was also lost in this mystery. One day Eikόna journeyed to the legendary home of the Seven Sages.
He asked them “Where did my power come from.”
The eldest sage answered “look upon your echo and tell me what you see.”
He thoroughly examined his echo and replied, “ I just see myself.”
“Exactly. And that must be where he comes from. That is why you are not limited to a set number of uses like clerics, or arbitrary rules like the wizards. Your power does not come from the gods or from arcane knowledge. It comes from you. You needed to become stronger and so you looked inside and found the strength to overcome.” The sage replied.
Feeling completely unsatisfied with this answer Eikόna journeys not only to own his own house and honor his own name but he wishes to find the source of this unusual power.

Korai (Tiefling Druid)
Played By: Alanna Judd
Running, running, running, as fast as her little tiefling legs could carry her, running from the demons that were trying to capture and torture her for disobeying her demon master. Ya, see demons own slaves here in the infernal plane, these slaves happen to be tieflings. She just kept running, she was only a child; how could they want to hurt a child this badly. She tripped over what felt like her own feet till she realized she wasn’t in a place she recognized, it was dark, musty, and scary. Pulling herself up and brushing off her clothes she gazes around till she spots something, a pink petal? The girl picks it up and follows the trail running from the huge beasts that inhabit this place. Finally after what felt like forever she finds herself in a huge green forest, something falling from the sky hits her tear stained cheeks, she recoils but the pain from the falling substance doesn’t come. She doesn’t understand how she escaped the infernal plane but is thankful nonetheless. Shivering now from being soaked the girl finds a hollowed tree and decides to hide out of the weather. The girl is shaken lightly awake “Excuse me? Are you lost?” this tall man with large pointy ears was speaking to her. She slightly climbed out the tree and was going to make a break for it. “No please don’t run, I’m not going to hurt you” the man reaches his hand out to the trembling girl. She begrudgingly takes his hand and he lifts the child into his arms. “Do you have a name? Can you tell me your name?” he asks. “K-kor-korai” she speaks meekly, voice shaky. “What were you doing out here Korai? Are you lost?”. Korai shakes her head no, now wrapping her arms around the man's neck she begins to cry again. “Running away...demons...not lost.” The man tightens his grip around the child now hugging her. “Is it okay if I take you home Korai?” “Yes.” she says through tears. Years passed since that day and Korai is still forever grateful to her Papa for finding and rescuing her that day. Since that day Korai has learned the ways of the druid and even found religion. The druids in this grove worship Persephone, the Goddess of Spring, vegetation and grain. They believe she is why their forest and their grove has remained untouched and beautiful for so long as well as their crops plentiful. The grove has many travelers that come and stay hours or even days. One day a group of soldiers came to the grove demanding they speak to the elders immediately. Korai’s papa being one of the elders escorts them to the temple where the other elders reside. Korai followed long behind, curious to what they could be discussing. Pressing her ear up against the door she hears words of passion being slung, something about an omen, a warning of some sort. The soldiers are warning us? Korai hears the elders dismiss the omen. Persephone would surely have said something to the elders had we been in any actual danger rather than having to hear this news from an outsider. Korai hears the meeting conclude and runs back away from the doors pretending to admire some foliage near the entrance of the temple. Days have passed since the omen had been heard by the elders  and Korai couldn’t shake the feeling something was wrong. Pushing that feeling aside, Korai decides to wander the woods to clear her head. She returns at supper time and Papa is nowhere to be found. “Papa?” she calls as she looks around the grove. “Korai” one of the other druids calls to her. “All of the elders are missing.” he says. “What? No!” Korai Exclaims. “I have to find him.” She panics. “I have to find them.” She races around her and papas home to collect her belongings. “I have to go. Right now. Papa could be in danger.”
Description: Hot pink Tiefling female with red horns and red eyes. Smooth skin with scarring on her arms and back and a pleasant and warm smile

Balthasar Pinkerton (Human Warlock)
Played by: Sam Himpler
Born a stillbirth, his parents prayed to any and all gods that could potentially save their baby. Being entirely too close to a hidden temple, they were given their wish but at a price. Their child would never be normal and he would be infused with a strange power. Since before he can remember Balthasar was prone to seizures and vivid dreams during the day. His life is filled with visions brought to him by the Oneiroi, because of this, Balthasar’s perception of the past is warped. He remembers very little and seems eccentric to the max! He will either be the best... or the worst! Who knows!
Description: The man wears a blue coat and top hat that matches. He talks in an exagerated voice as if to announce that he is there. His hair has yet to gray but is scraggly and extreme.

Darastrix (Lizardfolk Artificer homebrew)
Played by: Jimmy Johnson
Darastrix was born from an egg within a swamp south of the dwarves mountain. Her tribe was mostly without conflict. She spent her time hunting and learning. Often times, when she was young, her tribes lorekeeper would tell stories. Her favorite story was about the homeland before the rifts. She was inspired by these stories. The largest tribe ever seen, settled in a forest of the strongest creatures imaginable. That would be something!
As she grew she would fiddle with her preys bodily organs and bones. Eventually she learned the strengths of these things and began to craft traps and rudimentary weapons. This lead to easy hunting and easy survival for her and her fellow lizardfolk. This was boring though, no prey could stand up to her here.
One day she decided to leave the tribe. She wanted to find her homeland! On her way to visit other tribe elders she met a man. Eikόna was a human with no scales... therefore weak and useless to Darastrix. Except he wasn’t turns out this man knew how to survive and clothed himself in the hides of other animals.
Deciding that help would be necessary, she chose to follow the man and hopefully gain his aid. One day Eikόna gained a contract and Darastrix followed. Their job was to escort a group of mysterious red robed figures. Darastrix did not understand why they were doing this. The only reason she followed because south would lead her to another swamp which was home to a tribe of lizardfolk. Hoping to gain knowlege of the homeland is why she joined.
Description: Green white and brownish scales. Two frills that fold onto her back. Jaws with protruding fleshy muscle sown into her flesh.

So some background.
I decided to go with an ancient greek style world design. It took alot of work to convert alot of the information. The greek Gods are such flawed and unique individuals which lended to the difficulty. We currently are running the campaign with 8 players but that may fluctuate.
Coming up there will be a list of each character by player and character name and a detailed backstory for each as i did before. One major change will be the summarizations. I will be requesting that my players describe the session in character and I will simply elaborate on events and try to write out the details they missed.
I am sorry for the long break but we are back!!

We were just learning to play and our DM had an npc that summoned a wall of swords 20ft tall between us and this boss. We didnt understand that a nat 20 meant if it was possible it passed. Our barbarian rolled a nat 20 and our DM let him pass because anything worked with a nat 20. Naturally, it broke the fight and it was over shortly after.
Monster Giveaway!
Tumblr media
A gigantic thank you to all of my followers for making this possible. I really, truly never thought I’d make it this far. In celebration, I’d like to host a monster giveaway. Even if you don’t win- fret not! Many more treats will be coming your way, to celebrate this milestone.
How do I enter? Reblog this post with a D&D/other tabletop story that has happened to you. It doesn’t need to be long or extravagant- you can even just talk about a character you want to play! Only reblogs with a story count. One reblog per person. Please do not tag as ‘giveaway’. You must be following to enter, but new followers are welcome!
What are the prizes? Three lucky winners will get to request that I homebrew a monster for them! The winning requests will be posted on my blog along with cute little carnival tickets that have the requester’s URL (so they can be recognized for their ideas). If the winner does not respond to give their request within three days, a new winner will be drawn in their place.
When will the winners be drawn? Winners will be drawn via Random.org on Friday, February 15th at around 7pm central time.
Good luck, and thank you!
