The rest of this post is talking about how white queers don't examine their whiteness and how they can benefit from white supremacy despite being queer and I aboslutley agree with that, but it's framed as "especially white transmascs" which sure is a thing when it leads onto this.
Like. First of all. Ah yes, the famous middle class white north American trans man. Yknow. That guy that is totally representative of all transmascs across the entirety of the world.
But secondly. I don't think I've seen or heard a single trans man or transmasc talk about their experiences with misogyny and framed it as such; that misogyny is fine but they just shouldn't be targets of it because they're men!
Including my own experiences, every single transmasc and trans man I've heard talk about misogyny has always been with the lens of "this is an awful way to be treated and nobody should be treated as such" regardless of how misgendering or whatever it feels for them at the same time. I truly don't think there are a majority of people out here experiencing a very targeted oppression and going "but that shouldn't apply to ME! Only THOSE OTHER PEOPLE should be experiencing this!" And not "wow this sucks this shouldn't be a thing at all".

queerplatonic intimacy + relationships taste so good when you don’t got a bitch in your ear saying “that’s just being friends”/“that’s just dating without a title”

I've recently discovered that I have ambiguous genitalia due to sex, where my partner who's been in bed with women before (I'm a virgin) got severely disgusted by how "malformed" I am.
I've been slowly processing this, and one of the ways I've been doing this as a direct response to how horrible that finding-out situation was, is by sketching out intersex smut where a body like mine is enjoyed rather than hated. A friend of mine loves seeing my art, loves seeing smut, and told me to show her what I'd made - only to be met with the same disgust over ambiguous genitalia existing and that what I'm drawing is "gross and alien"
I feel like shit, ngl.
this is intersexism.
i'm sorry you got so much rejection and bodyshaming.
ambiguous genitalia is natural. they aren't gross. they aren't alien. they aren't "malformed."
that's why we need more accurate intersex representation and intersex-inclusive sex-ed. but also it's just extremely rude to say these things to anyone, regardless of their body.
i hope you'll be able to find people who would accept you as you are, who would admire and appreciate all aspects of your body.

transandrophobia is people forgetting that jk rowling’s “TERF Wars” essay initially targeted trans men and mascs and outlined her “concern” that autistic girls were being “coerced” into transitioning, which pretty much kickstarted the UK government’s campaign to ban gender affirming care.
yet still whenever the UK government is brought up in discussions about trans rights, trans men get completely erased from the conversation. i can’t access gender affirming care because of how much this stupid fucking author hates me, but people online will say that TERFs “love” trans men.
no they don’t. they only love us if we detransition, and trans people should know how much of a death sentence that can be.
This is transandrophobia.
I can’t really say anything about UK politics since I’m from the US, but I hate her just as much from over here.

How did the Tumblr zeitgeist swing from "What's in my pants? A giant laser cannon!!!1!" and inventing new pronouns every half hour to slinging around a pejorative that is literally just "you're non-binary (derogatory) and I think you have a vagina (derogatory)" and claiming said term ("theyfab", in this case) is enlightened and based and not bigoted and actually brilliant materialist analysis?

Hi I’ve invented a new term it’s called ‘people are mean to me because I’m trans masc’
It’s a term for talking about how people are mean to me because I’m trans masc.
It’s about how people treat me as less than a cis man and less than a cis woman because I am neither.
It’s about how some people are misogynistic twords me and some people are transphobic and some people are both.
It’s about how I get treated badly because I am choosing to be a man in a world that wants me to be a woman.
It’s about how I get treated by some people as dangerous because I have he/him pronouns because ‘men are inherently violent’ and how I am also treated as a stupid child who doesn’t understand myself enough to know what I want to do with my body because of misogyny.
It’s about how I’ve been threatened with forced impregnation and pregnancy.
It’s about how I have a hard time accessing healthcare.
Oh- what’s that? You don’t think I should talk about those things? You don’t think I should because my term is talking over women? You think that I’m trying to steal things from women because I’m a man and that’s what men do? You think that I don’t really experience these things all the time because men don’t experience misogyny? You think I should make a new term? Ah. I see. My bad.
Hi! I’ve invented a new term it’s called ‘people are mean to me because I’m trans masc-

The nazis that you see in movies are as much a historical fantasy as vikings with horned helmets and samurai cutting people in half.
The nazis were not some vague evil that wanted to hurt people for the sake of hurting them. They had specific goals which furthered a far right agenda, and they wanted to do harm to very specific groups, (largely slavs, jews, Romani, queer people, communists/leftists, and disabled people.)
The nazis didn't use soldiers in creepy gas masks as their main imagery that they sold to the german people, they used blond haired blue eyed families. Nor did they stand up on podiums saying that would wage an endless and brutal war, they gave speeches about protecting white Christian society from degenerates just like how conservatives do today.
Nazis weren't atheists or pagans. They were deeply Christian and Christianity was part of their ideology just like it is for modern conservatives. They spoke at lengths about defending their Christian nation from godless leftism. The ones who hated the catholic church hated it for protestant reasons. Nazi occultism was fringe within the party and never expected to become mainstream, and those occultists were still Christian, none of them ever claimed to be Satanists or Asatru.
Nazis were also not queer or disabled. They killed those groups, before they had a chance to kill almost anyone else actually. Despite the amount of disabled nazis or queer/queer coded nazis you'll see in movies and on TV, in reality they were very cishet and very able bodied. There was one high ranking nazi early on who was gay and the other nazis killed him for that. Saying the nazis were gay or disabled makes about as much sense as saying they were Jewish.
The nazis weren't mentally ill. As previously mentioned they hated disabled people, and this unquestionably included anyone neurodivergent. When the surviving nazi war criminals were given psychological tests after the war, they were shown to be some of the most neurotypical people out there.
The nazis weren't socialists. Full stop. They hated socialists. They got elected on hating socialists. They killed socialists. Hating all forms of lefitsm was a big part of their ideology, and especially a big part of how they sold themselves.
The nazis were not the supervillians you see on screen, not because they didn't do horrible things in real life, they most certainly did, but because they weren't that vague apolitical evil that exists for white American action heros to fight. They did horrible things because they had a right wing authoritarian political ideology, an ideology that is fundamentally the same as what most of the modern right wing believes.

"transandrophobia isnt real" they say, while making blogs dedicated to doxxing trans minors of color because they are trans men who arent ashamed of it.
"transandrophobia isnt real" they say, while trying their absolute fucking hardest to make trans men, transmascs, and other transandronized people afraid for their safety and privacy.
they want us to stop talking, to sit down and shut up, to be afraid, to never stand up for ourselves.
and you know if someone made a blog called "truthsoftransmisogynys" and just used it to doxx trans women of color who are minors, nobody would fucking let that slide, but if you check any of the other queer tags on tumblr, nobody is talking about how fucked up this is. because transandronized people are acceptable targets right now, thats simply the long and short of it.

i fucking love self inserts and i would like to draw attention to 2 of my favorite authors
john fowles is mainly known for the collector, which is amazing, but personally i adore the french lieutenant's woman. this beautifully meta work where u can see the author's shadow everywhere
from small passages like "see this woman? yeah, she's gonna die on the day hitler invades poland" or "ppl don't really see her as a beauty, but she is gorgeous and actually her grand daughter will become a famous actress" (obv not exact quotes)
to my absolute favorite chapter that starts to the effect "so, i was looking at charles(protagonist)...". i remember literally saying out loud "u were looking at who!?". bc for one short chapter the author and protagonist were in the same train compartment and i was LOSING IT
for smth even less subtle, go look at vonnegut. slaughterhouse 5 is so obviously a book about himself as it is about the characters. and somehow during this glorious story about ww2 trauma, time travel, aliens who look like grey upside down toilet plungers and human zoos, somehow the funniest bits are when he goes "yeah and in the background there was this idiot digging a latrine. and i was that idiot, i was digging the latrine"
what i'm trying to say is, fucking have fun with it. idk where this idea comes from that the hand of the author should be invisible. there are no rules
if kurt vonnegut can draw a butthole in his book u can add yourself in yours. throw out any rules u think there are
The stigma of self-inserts is so harmful to the creative process. Relax. Admit it. Everything you make is derivative of yourself, always, no exceptions. You can turn the mirror into tinier and tinier shards or you can make it as big as you want to reflect as much as you want. At the end of the day it's always going to show you inside of it. Pretending otherwise is stupid.

"[country] finally recognise trans people as their gender!"
*looks into it*
*country doesn't recognise nonbinary people*
like of course it only applies to binary trans people, of course you didn't bother to say that, of course you're using "trans" to mean "binary".

Bullying is crazy... I spent 13 years of my life forced to be at a certain location for 6+ hours almost every day, and at this location multiple of my peers would verbally harass or insult me, physically assault me, sexually harass me, socially ostracize me, every single day, for factors entirely outside of my control. And every adult who was ostensibly supposed to prevent this from happening either willfully ignored it or actively contributed to the bullying. And like, I'm supposed to just brush it off as "just bullying" and something that everyone goes through? Like I was literally in psychological torment camp every day for nearly my entire childhood and now I'm supposed to just function like a human being. Anyways what did you want on your sub. Ham and cheese. No lettuce or mayo..got it okay

If the people in a relationship say it's platonic, then it's platonic, regardless of your preconceived notions about commitment, cohabitation, gender, sex or other physical intimacy, and anything else you associate with a strict position on a romantic/platonic binary. Likewise, if the people in a relationship say it's romantic, then it's romantic, again regardless of your preconceived notions about commitment, cohabitation, gender, sex or other physical intimacy, and anything else you associate with a strict position on a romantic/platonic binary. Friends can have sex and/or live together, and romantic partners don't need to. People can also do either of those things or neither without placing themselves in a platonic-romantic binary.
Platonic and romantic relationships (as well as, frankly, sex itself, if you take a look at the way sex has been typically defined in such a cisheteronormative way) are way too socially constructed for your stereotypes to overrule the actual intent and self-understanding of the people those relationships most matter to.
