also it’s frustrating to me that iirc in the game valant acts like he and trucy are Competing for the rights to magnifi’s repertoire and it’s probably because of some Magician Law or sth but like... [slamming my fists on the table] let them share the intellectual property and perform together

i don’t post headcanon stuff here a lot but? i have a Great Need for domestic valant & trucy content...

i haven’t caught up to turnabout serenade yet in my aj replay so my memory is a bit foggy, but i know valant was briefly incarcerated after zak’s disappearance and i can’t remember if it was revealed at that point that he had tampered with the crime scene and planted evidence or not? 

but i was thinking about tateyuki defending him since tateyuki is probably the only defense attorney at that point of canon who would defend him, aha... (also they’re the same age and what i’m saying is there’s ship potential there IMO)

i talked about this on my main blog but i see valant as like... that aunt or uncle (not necessarily by blood, but you call them that) you have who isn’t around much but when they are they’re really energetic and funny and cool and they have a weird job that makes them seem even cooler, and as you get older you start realizing they’re very mentally ill and probably have a substance abuse problem, also i feel like a lot of the time they aren’t straight or cis

i can’t remember a lot about valant and trucy’s interactions in canon but i am firmly dedicated to believing that despite everything between him and zak, valant genuinely loves trucy and is very grateful to phoenix for taking care of her since valant... can’t really take care of a kid with the way he lives, plus the whole prison thing

i’d think he feels guilty about basically being responsible for zak fleeing the country but also w/ everything we know about the gramaryes it seems like trucy is a lot better off with phoenix tbh
