To be honest, I‘m not thankful for everything. I even think saying that is some big ass toxic positivity. I‘m thankful I survived. Survived. Thankful that I found, that I got the strength to push through it. I‘m not thankful that it happened, but that I learned how to turn some of it into something positive. Into a lesson learned. But the scars remain, and maybe some wounds will never close completely. I‘m not thankful I had to go through that, but I‘m thankful that I did.

Please share this!!!!! As you resident vitiligan and fellow artist I am here to educate people on how to properly create a character with vitiligo and other things to keep in mind about the disorder.

Only 1% of the entire world’s population has vitiligo but I see so many artists making characters with it when they sometimes don’t even know what vitiligo is and pass it off as “skin pigmentation”. Like— what does that even mean??? XD

It’s not an aesthetic and it won’t get you “diversity points” so stop romanticizing vitiligo!

Probably with about 16 or so bc my eyesight is really bad, like about -6 to -7 dioptres, (started with glasses at about 8 yrs) and taking my lovable, natural clumsiness into account, I would have been run down by a carriage or so bc I just wouldn't have recognized it.

Or I would have been sacrificed in a church cult or something, I was SO easy to manipulate lol

Lol, here’s a fun one: if you had been born in the medieval era and without access to modern medicine, how long would you have lived? If I managed to survive being born (unlikely) I would have died at age 22 from appendicitis :) hbu?
