My parents and siblings have covid and I'm running out of places to quarantine, they've been sick all month. If anyone can help me put gas in my car and pay for a hotel room that would be so greatly appreciated.

Sarah Forbes Bonetta Davies, originally named Aina, was born in 1843 and was a West African Egbado omoba of Yoruba royalty, and became a Goddaughter of Queen Victoria.
At the age of five the princess was captured in a ‘slave hunt’ war by the King Ghezo of Dahomey, in which her parents were killed, and she ended up as a slave at Ghezo’s court. In 1850, she was rescued by Captain Frederick Forbes of the Royal Navy whilst he was visiting Dahomey as emissary of the British Government. Convincing King Ghezo to give away Sarah as a present to Queen Victoria ‘from the King of the Blacks to the Queen of the Whites, Sarah was given the name Forbes as well as the name of his ship the ‘HMS Bonetta’, and travelled to England with the Captain – in his journal, Forbes wrote that ‘To refuse, would have been to have signed her death warrant which, probably, would have been carried into execution forthwith.’
He also wrote that: ‘For her age supposed to be eight years. She is a perfect genius; she now speaks English well, and has a great talent for music. She has won the affections, with but few exceptions, of all who have known her, she is far in advance of any white child of her age, in aptness of learning, and strength of mind and affection.’
She arrived in England and was shown to Queen Victoria, who was impressed by her intelligence and had her raised as her goddaughter in the British middle class; however Sarah suffered from fragile health – a chronic cough due to the climate of Britain – and her guardians sent her to school in Sierra Leone during 1851. At the age of twelve, Victoria commanded that she should return to England, and in 1862 she was invited to, and attended, the wedding of Victoria’s daughter.
At the age of eighteen, Sarah was proposed to by James Pinson Labulo Davies, a considerably wealthy Yoruba businessman who was living in Britain. She was given permission by the Queen to marry in Brighton in August of 1862, and after the wedding the couple moved back to Africa where they had three children: Victoria Davies (named after the Queen, and the Queen also became her Godmother), Arthur Davies and Stella. Sarah Bonetta was baptised at a church in Badagry, and would continue to enjoy a close relationship with Victoria.

Sarah would die of tuberculosis on the 15th August 1880, aged 37, in Funchal, the capital of Madeira, a Portuguese island. Her husband erected a granite obelisk shaped monument more than eight feet high in memory of her in Lagos, where he had started a cocoa farm. The inscription reads:
IN MEMORY OF PRINCESS SARAH FORBES BONETTA
WIFE OF THE HON J.P.L. DAVIES WHO DEPARTED THIS LIFE AT MADEIRA AUGUST 15TH 1880
AGED 37 YEARS
Upon Sarah’s death, Victoria wrote in her diary: ‘Saw poor Victoria Davies, my black godchild, who learnt this morning of the death of her dear mother’.
Victoria Davies was given an annuity by Queen Victoria, and continued to visit the royal household throughout her life – when Davies passed her music examination, children and teachers were given a one day holiday
