i never talk about these things but i can’t remain silent.

i know tumblr doesn’t give a SHIT when things happen in countries outside the “most popular ones” (such as the usa & england). it’s true, don’t lie to me. y’all don’t give A FUCK. not every issue and problem in said countries gets the appropriate exposure but in general shit shows up on the news WORLD FREAKING  WIDE. you set up donations, you help out, your spread the word, you say “pray for x”……

southern europe is burning. 

my country is burning.

people are dying - at home, on the road, trying to run away, in their cars.

yesterday my country had 300 active fires.

people are losing EVERYTHING they own.

i have a friend that is on a train right now passing through places that have been burnt to the ground and she says the smoke is so intense it’s getting inside the train and she can barely breathe.

and yet, even though several people (myself included) have been trying to bring awareness to what has been happening in southern europe… what we get from most of you, those not part of the countries suffering, is silence. we don’t ask for money, we don’t ask for shit other than a reblog to spread awareness… something you can delete in 24/48hrs if you wish. 

i don’t know what to tell you. i’m angry. i’m frustrated. i’m disappointed. i feel like i’m screaming into the void. “a reblog does nothing” - you know that’s a damn lie, you know exposure always helps, you know people start paying attention when posts on social media become popular. my country in particular is a small one, we get ZERO exposure. y’all are only starting to figure out we even fucking exist bc of the shit we’ve been winning lately. 

but hell, if the EU doesn’t give a shit, why should some user on tumblr dot com?

“I expect no less than these requirements in your assignment or you’ll be looking at a fail grade,” Taeyong’s voice was stern, his gaze more-so as he stared at the wide eyed faces of his students sitting in the lecture theatre, well, most of them with the exception of the two boys in the back seats that enjoyed making his life hard.

“I happen to be pretty accustomed to looking at my fail grades, as a matter of fact,” Donghyuck, the more outspoken of the two boys had shrugged, leaning back in his seat with a resigned sigh, his older friend Mark having giggled at the statement but dropped his smile immediately when Taeyong had glared at him, casting his gaze quickly onto his books, nudging Donghyuck urgently.

“Lee Donghyuck! Any problem with what I just said?” Taeyong leaned back against his desk at the front of the room, an expectant look on his face.

Mark shook his head quickly on behalf of his friend, trying to stifle his giggle as Donghyuck leaned forward, shaking his head at their professor with a sweet smile on his face.

“Not at all, Mr Lee,” he chirped, earning an eye roll from Taeyong, who dismissed the class promptly, eager to end his day.

Taeyong couldn’t stop looking at his watch when a group of students had bombarded him after his lecture, asking questions that Taeyong felt would never end, most of which were questions that he’d already covered during lectures.

The clock read that it was almost 6:00pm. He was already almost half an hour late. Only in times like this did he wish his students were like Donghyuck and Mark, leaving as soon as they were dismissed.

I’m writing at this late hour since I worried about STAY who must be more shocked and have it harder than anyone. I always wanted to give strength to STAY but today I feel like I made it hard for STAY so my heart was heavy all day.

When we first became 9 I was really happy…I’m sorry that we couldn’t protect the number 9 until the end. But it became a situation where we have to admit that we can’t continue as 9 anymore, and we’re trying to accept that truth now.

Of course STAY worried a lot about us SKZ today.. We are okay, so we hope STAY are not hurt.

The road Stray Kids have to go from now on is not an easy challenge, Stray Kids have to gather courage once again as 8. Us Stray Kids will continue to go on and give STAY strength and comfort through our music and performances.
