May I offer a Harvey and Jason fluff/comfort comic thing where they have both worked together for a while and are on the brink of actually being a bit more open to each other?

Once again I must apologize for the quality because Tumblr requires me to compress things severely. The GIFs had little animations in them which you can kind of still see but grrrr, compression.

But anyway, yeah, I've been thinking of the idea of Harvey actually employing Jason shortly after his return to Gotham, helping him through the ranks with ease because, dare he admit, he sees a son in him and doesn't want him to be eaten alive by Gotham like it has done with so many others.

They paused at that accusation, and the smile faltered into something a great deal more sour. It was never easy.

Her hand in her pocket did not elude them. So she wasn't stupid; either she was pretending to have a weapon, or she did have one and it was ready. Gun, probably, those were favorites in Gotham, easy to get. Either way was fine by them, though.

"I prefer the throat. Cleaner, easier, quicker, and... hm, probably less painful than the gut. I never leave my zombies alone." Was that a grumble of offense in their voice? "Our painful meandering through life is lonely enough, isn't it?" Another fake smile fought through. It almost looked uncomfortable against their muscles.

"And finally," their hands were still up in the air, a feint to just how ready they were for this to turn, "this is not a gift for me. It's a duty. So let's cut to the chase, little zombie. I promise you, your pain will all be over so soon." There was such an eerie, awful genuineness to their words.
